NRA, Dana Loesch unimpressed with President Obama’s shooting pic; Touré whines

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Not so fast, there, Mr. Real Journalist from CNN. We’re all thankful for the laughs the White House has provided today by releasing a photo of President Mom Jeans firing a shotgun. But before you claim that the picture “shoots down skepticism from some Republicans that Obama has fired a gun,” let’s check the old timeline.

Who originally asked the president, “Have you ever fired a gun?” That would be the folks at the New Republic, hardly a group of Republicans. And it wasn’t the question that was so entertaining, but rather Obama’s response: he and guests go skeet shooting all the time. Why, he’s probably out shooting right now. It was the press who then asked Jay Carney just how often “all the time” really is, to which Carney had no good answer.

Yeah, the NRA, the New Republic and the White House Press Corps; we get them mixed up all the time too, Touré.

So no, Gregory Wallace, it’s not whether Obama has ever fired a gun that concerns Republicans and many others, but what restrictions he intends to impose on the rest of America.

Oh, and Sharyl Attkisson and a few others would still like to see those photos from another shooting that happened in Benghazi, Libya. She asked back in October.

It would be nice if the White House took Americans’ lives at Benghazi as seriously as they do Skeetgate.

Will Preezy also be releasing photos from the WH Briefing Room, say, circa 11 SEP 12?

If so, will they be staged/’shopped as well?

The fact he felt he needed to release it… Hahahah
The fact he shoots all the time and isn’t leaning into it, and his stance is obvious noob….aahahahha

O0o0o0o you shot a shotgun once maybe twice to get a better picture…waste of my time and my air.

The fact you spent a lifetime trying to ban firearms.. A picture will not change our minds about you. And by the way…we’re laughing at you.

Didn’t the idiots realize the skeet or whatever it’s called is UP IN THE AIR? Why is he aiming straight ahead?

  • Gary Mathis

The photo is a fake: (1) split sub-second timing of the picture being snapped just as the shot left the barrel; (2) modern ammo powder is smokeless and virtually invisible. Too much smoke in the pic; (3) shotgun is blurred due to recoil but Obama’s head and shoulder are not blurred implying no recoil. Ergo, the photo is a fake.

    • Catchance

Plus, how is it that, just at the time of shooting, the picture shows his cheek is still pressed up tight to the stock? And why is his aim level instead of up in the air?

      • WisconsinPatriot

…..and WHY is he aiming a shotgun????????

        • lainer51

and I thought the targets were UP in the air, not straight ahead…. am I wrong?

          • PAttyconservatopia

No, you’re not wrong. The clay pigeons are unloaded from a machine and flung up in the air.

  • PatrioticDissent

    I disagree with Dana’s assessment: “I’m glad to see O embrace 2A”

Skeet shooting has nothing to do with the 2nd amendment. Come on Dana, you know this!

Photo taken on camp David helicopter pad road.
They were to lazy to walk 1/4 mile to camp David skeet range for the pr photo taken for election that was never used.

Camp David skeet range has wooden fence around it.

For your information the camp David skeet range it surrounded by a wooden fence. That pic was taken at target range.

Camp David Skeet Range Layout. (It’s typical half moon skeet club layout)

The little path that looks like a landing strip (uper right) looks like a target shooting area. (No skeet launch there) this is where pic was taken

The skeet area has a wooden fence around it, benches, shooter set up tables ec. Pic below Kennedy at skeet range camp David.

I think Obama pic was staged at target range. Just a guess of course! Or Obama shot a clay pigeon crossing the road.

    • Michelle

And where’s his shell bag? He takes one shot and calls it a day? Or does he have a Shell Czar he hands the gun off to to reload for him? If you’re not loading your own gun, you’re not a skeet shooter. This just screams photo op.

  • DANEgerus

He looks worse than Kerry did in that photo op w/shotgun

  • peteee363

too bad his college records were not next to him while he was pretending to fire a gun. we have asked for them, and he has yet to produce them.

  • Jack Deth

Photo reminds me of Dukakis under a way too large CVC helmet riding in the turret of an Abrams M-1 tank. While its unseen driver was nestled under the tank’s main gun tube.

Zero also looks like he’s aiming instead of leading the bird.

  • Maxx

Listen folks…give our President a break, ok? The reason why this photo appears “staged” and “rushed” is because Obama was late for his bowling league.

    • peteee363

i thought it was his curling league?

  • http://theobamatimeline.com/ colony14author

If I were shooting skeet that are launched high into the air, my shotgun would not be held parallel to the ground. But that’s just me.

  • rennyangel2

He can’t be skeet shooting, as the aim is practically dead ahead, unless he is firing at pix of Fox contributor’s pix on pumpkins. Also, it looks like the recoil will hit him in the chin. Nasty black and blue results from that.

  • RightThinking1

When AP first released the story (it has since been edited, after an onslaught of mockery) they referred to the shotgun as a rifle.

    • Michelle

As did CNN.. Go to the CNN homepage, the news links down the left side – the link to this story is “Rifleman Obama revealed in photo” FFS!! They don’t even know the difference between a rifle and a shotgun!

  • https://twitter.com/tweetyuo Tangchung

Wish they had a picture of Obama balancing a check book.

    • Magnolia

Would still be a photo op from a phony fake. Your comment was still funny, tho!!

      • http://twitter.com/jcgadfly Gadfly

        …Israel…oh wait you like them.

        • Michelle

Israel is not our enemy, but a rather important ally. The same cannot be said of Pakistan, Egypt and Syria. – hence my having them on two entirely different check recipient lists. Let me know if anything else on the matter confuses you.

          • http://twitter.com/jcgadfly Gadfly

We don’t like Pakistan, Egypt and Syria? Really? We sure do an awful lot of business with and sell a lot of weapons to them. That must be the source of my confusion.

          • Ken Alan Draper

that’s the source of everyone’s confusion. egypt was an ally, but then we encourage muslim brotherhood (terrorists) to overthrow the peaceful government & replace it with a dictatorial warlike regime, syria has always been a satellite of the warmongering Iranians, & pakistan was caught red handed sheltering Osama Bin Laden in their country.

the difference is that the Egyption government had a policy of peaceful coexistance with Isreal, so it had to go, while the regime in Syria has been anti-isreali & terror supporting. it’s all about getting governments that you can work with best.

So, the Boston Globe reported this today:

A top official with the National Skeet Shooting Association said the photo suggests Obama is a novice shooter.

‘‘This isn’t something he’s done very often because of how he’s standing, how he has the gun mounted,’’ said Michael Hampton, executive director of the San Antonio-based association.

  • Jackbee33

Shooting skeet, the gun needs to be elevated. It looks like he is target shooting, not skeet shooting. Photo op for election in case he was trailing in gun-toting purple states. Couple shots for photo and then he called it a day. Where’s the video?

While he is clearly not skeet huntin’ here, I believe he is firing the weapon. Sources close to the President (meaning ‘people I made up’) assert there was a copy of the Constitution directly in front of him…

The only thing Dana Loesch is impressed with is herself, which is why even BigGovernment said enough is enough. She’s reduced to tweeting her opinion. She is a relevant as Sarah Palin.

    • Michael Rice

Because she is only impressed with ehrself she can only tweet her thoughts? How is that a slam?
Did you mean to write that the only people she impresses is herself?
If she is irrelevant, aka doesn’t agree with you, why are you commenting about her?
Bush is pretty much irrelevant too, yet, liberals like to blame him for everything.

It is amusing to me what American people consider important to talk about. Does anyone really care if Obama goes skeet shooting or not? What does it say about the problems the U.S is facing right now? Just because he uses a gun does not mean he will leave the 2nd amendment alone. Get back on track people, your time has value, don’t waste it on everything the White House gives you to bite on. FOCUS!

    • Rich

No, we do not care whether he goes skeet shooting. What we care about is his incessant dishonesty. It permeates his entire presidency.

    • JR48

It’s not about skeet shooting, it’s about him playing fast and loose with the truth constantly.
