John McCain’s tough questioning of former colleague Chuck Hagel yesterday originated in “the deep well of resentment burning in John McCain’s patriotic heart.” What? “I’m absolutely convinced we’re watching a flashback,” said Matthews upon introducing a clip of McCain addressing Hagel.
