Gun-grabbing moron of the day: Oregon state senator Ginny Burdick

But, wait, there’s more. She also calls those who question absurd regulations on guns the “fringe,” you heat-packing , Rambo-like wackos!

No, really:

There’s a real Rambo complex going on here. You know my favorite one was the guy who after Aurora [Theater massacre] brought his gun to the same theater so he could get the attacker again and he shot himself in the butt—laughs. [Gleefully] And that’s a much more likely scenario instead of heading off an intruder!

Laughing. Shootings are so hilarious when one has an agenda to push!

This Twitter user offers up a response to Ms. Burdick.

  • Teresa Davis McCormick

did anyone catch how she was unsure about the laws governing sales at gun shows. She said something like she didn’t know cause it’s been 12 years since she checked. Uninformed and insulting.

    • BlueGood

SLAM the door on this idiot….I’m feeling a de ja vu…We went thru all this same CRAP form the Liebrals in Canada when they brought in the Long Gun Registry….making Hunters & farmers feel like Criminals.

It took 16 years to finally KILL this useless piece of legislation (C-68), that did not SAVE ONE SINGLE SOLITARY LIFE!

Keep slamming the door on them America!

  • Ricardo Cobos

“we should regulate guns like we regulate cars…registering every gun…that would be my dream”.

Unlike cars, the right to keep and bear arms is a protected right, protected because our Founding Fathers knew that a country without an armed populace is defenceless against outlaws and tryranical governance. Been to Chicago latley?

  • Jack Deth

    Memo to Ms. Burdick:

You have just destroyed whatever chance you may have imagined for a political future!

    • Sketti

I doubt it, she’s in the liberal state of Oregon.

      • Jack Deth

Feinstein’s bill still won’t get the sixty votes it needs to pass. Though it is fun watching the liberals reveal their true selves.

    • SetivaPDX

She hails for the same region that kept re-electing David Wu, tho he was clearly, insane. She understands her constituent base really only cares about keeping guns in the hands of the criminal element and gay marriage. What could be more important that that?

Virginia Burdick ruining Oregon since 1987

      • TugboatPhil

Was Wu the guy in the tiger costume?

        • Bad things coming

Yep. He also drove cars around drunk, ran into others and fled the scene – but I am sure it was just a misunderstanding. Portland also had the pedophile mayor. Oregon is home state to the insane and the ex-rajneeshes who still troll the streets looking for the Bagwhan.

          • Silence Dogood

We have the same issue to the north of you with King County dictating to the rest of the state what we can/cannot do. It’s a joke and I know darn well that the votes are lost here or just not counted… Good luck to you down there!

  • Steve_J

    That woman is completely stupid.

  • PennyRobinsonFanClub

Meanwhile, speaking of big scary guns, I just ran across this elsewhere, mods, please forgive the multipost but this really does bear repeating.

“Feinstein says that the only purpose for semi-automatic rifles is to
kill school children, so why is the White House buying 7,000 for
    “personal defense?”

The Department of Homeland Security is seeking to acquire
7,000 5.56x45mm NATO “personal defense weapons” (PDW) — also known as
“assault weapons” when owned by civilians. The solicitation, originally
posted on June 7, 2012, comes to light as the Obama administration is
calling for a ban on semi-automatic rifles and high capacity magazines.
Citing a General Service Administration (GSA) request for proposal
(RFP), Steve McGough of reports that DHS is asking
for the 7,000 “select-fire” firearms because they are “suitable for
personal defense use in close quarters.”

Read that very last line again very carefully.

The hypocrisy just makes you want to scream.

    • TomJB

And I bet the DHS models will have a selector switch that includes “burst.” So it would be more “military-like” than models sold to the public.

  • StrikeSudden

Thinking yourself to be wise, when your are not. Can bite you in the butt to. ROFL

  • RogerDane

I have to wonder why the ‘anti-gun’ agenda pushes these women to the front lines (hmm) and lets them prove their ignorance by speaking? Feinstein? Burdick , Patty Murray, Carolyn McCarthy have never sounded more ignorant than when they prattle on about issues they know so little about. BUT beware, they are our enemy and they have power… don’t be dissuaded due their (so called) femininity. Vote and Protest.

    • Guest

Roger, ‘…they have power…’ ? I disagree, “we the people” -have the ‘power’. Vote these dolts out…

    • TugboatPhil

You’d think McCarthy would have at least educated herself after her husband was killed and son injured by the train shooter that need not be named. But her crusade has been to deny anyone ever being able to stop another train shooting and to make sure that the nutjobs can still commit mayhem at will.

  • Lord Foggybottom

These morons are pretty much uninformed on everything. They’re stupid, illogical and treat their opinions as fact. I’m sick of these dopes trying to tell me what I can and can not do.

    •!/LiberateTheUSA Missy8s

Here in Oregon you can “register to vote” with nothing more than an “electric or gas bill” but our SoS won’t even investigate the voter rolls… Now they want ME to be fingerprinted, photographed and “registered” like a common criminal aka democrat???

  • Guest

And, this folks, is who we are electing. This woman is so misguided, misinformed, and irresponsibly ignorant. Next time there is an election (like the midterms) make sure you take the time to vote. Otherwise our government will be running rampant with this stupidity and with these people intent on taking away our Rights.

  • $35072932

There are only two reasons to register guns: To tax them or take them.

Oppressives simply don’t have the honesty to acknowledge this is their ultimate goal.

They know that registration won’t stop school massacres, they simply want the people imbued with the idea that they need the government’s permission to defend themselves – permission that will be quickly withdrawn when the next massacre takes place.

  •!/LiberateTheUSA Missy8s

Just so you know, here in Oregon we don’t hold “actual elections” we hold “rumors of elections”…

Since 1993 the “postal union” distributes our ballots to us and we gleefully return our ballots to the “postal union” or hand them over to the “state union workers” who in turn hand them to other “state union workers” who tell the “media” everything is “Kosher” who in turn tell us we had a “fair election”.

The state constitution was changed in a “special” VOTE BY MAIL ONLY “election” in May 1993 with an initiative offered by New York transplant Speaker of the State House and future serial mayor of Portland, Vera Katz.

Unsurprisingly, since May 1993 Oregon has been a SOLIDLY “blue” state (solidly red 50 years before May 1993) and no Republican candidate for statewide office has won an election since.

All statewide elections in Oregon are decided by Clackamas, Lane, Multnomah, Marion and Washington counties. The other 31 counties are completely disregarded by local and national media when critical issues or races are on the line.

Out of the seven people who “claim to” represent Oregon in Washington DC only one is a Republican, Greg Walden (OR-2).

    • TugboatPhil

Missy, has this ever been challenged in court? It seems to me that the lack of an accountable, secure chain of custody violates the secret ballot.

      •!/LiberateTheUSA Missy8s

It was only challenged in ONCE in the Oregon SC and of course the “court” agreed unanimously with the unions who counted the ballots that gave them their jobs…

The unions handle the process every step of the way, from registration,
to ballot distribution, to ballot collection, to counting the votes…

The local media then puts “their” stamp of approval on the count and
reassures the sheep that everything the wolves just did was on the up
        and up…

On a related note, EVERY Oregon Secretary of State since 1993 has been a democrat and REFUSES to investigate OR prosecute ANY case of “suspected” fraud.

WHAT could possibly go wrong with that!?

        • TugboatPhil

That is worse than anything Orwell could have dreamed about.

    • R0nin

What’s worse is, WE VOTED FOR THIS. Yep, it was an initiative placed on the ballot for the people to vote for. Of course, here in Oregon, the majority of our population is in the Western, Leftist part of the state, so it passed quite easily.

  • Claude AndPam Parish

Did she just shoot herself in the foot, or what? 😛

    • TomJB

Hopefully closer to the part of anatomy she laughed at getting shot.

  • Randi Starr

People who vote this crap into office deserve whatever happens to them………..obviously not an ounce of common sense among them.

    • R0nin

Unfortunately, there are “Two Oregons”. Residents of he Liberal part of the state (large cities like Portland, Salem, etc.) outnumber those in the rural, Conservative part of the state. So even though anything leftist _will_ pass, there’s still a large minority of us who have to live with the consequences, even though we didn’t choose them. Kinda like the nation right now with Obama and his administration.

      • Randi Starr

Might consider a fence!!!!!!!You have my condolences.

        • R0nin

I’m a Conservative living in liberal ‘Portlandia’. I believe Burdock just became my ‘Representative’ in November :(

  • TugboatPhil

She’s right on one point. There is a “very intense, frankly rude minority” who controls the debate on this issue. Of course she was thinking of us and we know it’s the media.

  • TocksNedlog

Just one more in a long line of reasons to avoid the hippie coast.

  • Bad things coming

What do you expect from Oregon? Her last name is correct with the last for letters. When you have mayors who like little boys, congressmen who dress in tiger suits and representatives calling for a prescription for tobacco it isn’t a far stretch to have ignorant “female body part name here” running around spewing drivel like this. Oregon is the home of the insane.

  • Kele Johnson

With nearly all of the Oregon County Sheriffs publicly swearing to uphold the Second Amendment, she’s going to play hell initiating a gun grab in this state.

  • tony30088

Wasn’t it the movie industry that created “Rambo”? Where’s the outrage in that?

  • Thomas Collins

Get women out of politics, they don’t have the temperament for it, too much emotion, not enough sense.

    • rinodino

And this is the right wing folks read it and weep

      • kilthan

Guilt by association fallacy? AWAY WITH YOU! Come back when you can speak logically.

      • dmacleo

and this person (you) speaks for the entire left people. read it and weep.
        see how that works?

  • Guest

The woman is just another wackadoodle from Mexifornia North

    • Jim Denney

Me gusta su nombre para El Rey.

  • jerryworks

Rambo? I reckon I could take that as a compliment. She sure as hell did not knock on my door. She would have found a heavily armed member of organized militia.

  • walterc

Wondering how many armed guards she has around her at the Capital building?

  • J.N. Ashby

States rights. Fed can’t do it, silly broad.

  • Mapache

    Remember in November 2014

    Political affiliation doesn’t determine sexism/racism/whateverism.

  • Thomas Collins

Men stop listening to women at about 14 or 15, you know, when they mature. It might happen to you one day.

It’s funny how dems insist that men and women are “equal”, that their differences are “social constructs”, but that homosexual men are genetically different than heterosexual men. Kinda bass-ackward. How long have you been standing on you head?

  • rinodino

    keep whistling past the graveyard

  • Thomas Collins

    keep sighing
