CBS News’ Sharyl Attkisson, stonewalled on Benghazi, looking for next big story to cover

CBS News investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson did Congress’s work for them last week by tweeting, the day before Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s Congressional testimony, an extensive list of unanswered questions about the deadly Sept. 11 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya. Unfortunately, members of Congress chose to turn the event into a Hillary Clinton love-fest, making the chance of getting definitive answers from the Obama administration even more slim.

So, what’s the last real reporter in America supposed to cover in the meantime? Attkisson turned to Twitter for suggestions, and gave some of her own.

Indeed! It’s been quite a drought. There are plenty of “real journalists” on Twitter; would anyone like to pitch in so Attkisson doesn’t have to do all of the lifting herself?

Good God Shayrl! Someone HAS TO STEP UP! Give the Benghazi families and the American Public some answers! Please!

How about the exodus currently underway from the health care professions. Top talent is leaving in droves. Train wreck coming.

I’m out of it now. No choice. Can’t make a decent living in the medical profession anymore.

The most transparent administration is History tells the media to piss off, and the reporters bend over with glee.

What can she do if people in the know are ordered by this administration to not talk to her? Until someone is willing to come forward, the Benghazi story will be stalled for now. And don’t count on anyone else in the MSM to throw her a bone as I’m betting it’s pretty lonely on the island where she at. I’m surprised she still has a job at this point.

Lets hope and pray she stays safe and hungry for that story and more.

Two directions to still go on Benghazi since the WH has clammed up and the rest of the media refuse to report:

    1. The survivors. Interview them or their families for first-hand accounts of what happened.

    2. Flag officers being relieved of command with little reason offered. Mattis being the latest to be unceremoniously dumped by the little dictator.

It’s shocking (but not surprising) that Hillary was not forthcoming during her Benghazi testimony last week. Why our Secretary of State should be acting like a hostile witness is beyond shameful. Why is the truth so hard?

As for the next big story, I say blow the lid off the media bias once and for all. Attkisson is on the inside and would have the connections and the credibility.

I hate to sound paranoid but I’m going to pray for this lady’s safety. I hope she keeps being a “real” journalist. I just read what I wrote and it sounds like I’m the one threatening her safety. I just worry, there’s some really crazy leftist out there and it seems it’s getting dangerous to speak out against this administration. One more reason not to register your firearms.

Data collection on Americans, from smart-meters, to twiiter & e-mails, credit card purchases and medical records via Obamacare and the NSA data collection center built in Utah with billions of taxpayer dollars to monitor all of it.

Sharyl, please stick with #benghazi a bit longer. Try to interview the survivors. If you can’t find them, no one can.

  • BigTBoom

File this under useful info for future presidents, advertise to interviewers in advance you won’t respond on a specific topic and they won’t ask about it during your interview.

Interesting points, but where was this BEFORE the election?

BTW, MSM: the multitude of 11th hour endorsements of Mitt Romney were NOT enough.

It’s a LOT easier if you just do your job of vetting the candidates and remain neutral.
