Poor Richard: Trumka stomps foot over invalidation of NLRB recess appointments

It’s hard out there for a thug. AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka is beside himself over the news that the DC Circuit’s U.S. Court of Appeals ruled Obama’s three recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board to be invalid. The Senate wasn’t actually in recess when the appointments were made.

If the court’s ruling stands, many more board appointments could be in jeopardy. Poor Richard. How could things possibly get any worse?

“How dare the courts pick on the union thug we installed as President!”

“Get me Junior Hoffa on the phone and the addresses of all those judges!”

  • Jack Deth

    Memo to Mr. Trumka:

“Strongly disagree with reasoning and shocking decision today by the panel of Republican judges on the DC Circuit.”

Good luck disagreeing with and fighting an UNANIMOUS decision, Dumbass!

Awww union membership is down and judges are upholding the Constitution. It’s a good day today.

  • Fire and Adjust!

Up next……..Plumpka tries to unionize circuit court judges………

  • NachoCheese (D)

“And union membership is at an all time low, happy Friday”

This actually made me laugh out loud! :)

  • Lord Foggybottom

Am I the only one who thinks Trumka would look right at home on the back of a garbage truck? Or behind bars?

    • therantinggeek

Nope, you’re not the only one.

    • Will NV

I think the bars in a zoo would suit him better

      • GaryTheBrave

Dress him up in a female gorilla costume and put him in with male gorillas a la “Trading Places.”

        • Jack Deth

That would be cruel for the male gorilla, Gary.
          Though amusing to watch.

    • stuckinIL4now

How ’bout inside the garbage truck so we can’t see him cuz it’d be hard to differentiate between him and the rest of the trash.

    • Robert Hoover

He’d be at home as a porta potty cleaner. Sh!t for brains pumping sh!t for a living. Guys a two bit thug.

    • DocEpador

How about next to Jimmy Hoffa?

Why don’t you call and tell him yourself? He gives out his phone number several times a day.

        • Jim Denney

No need, Al Roker got it off the WH bathroom wall and published it in The Rolling Stone … (800) GAY-LOVE.

          • mike_in_kosovo

WH bathroom? That’d be Reggie Love’s number, not Limbaugh’s.

          • mike_in_kosovo

And boy, is Michelle gonna be pissed when she sees it!

          • Jim Denney

I think “rinodino” deleted an intermediate comment, as I was suggesting it was he (not Rush) who could use the phone #.

Like his gay lover, apparently these paid trolls never miss a trick.

      • KansasGirl

        Tell Rush what?
I think Rush already knows Trumka is fat, drunk and stupid.

        • lainer51

          HA !!!!!!!!!!

        • JS42

Nuk, nuk. Old Rinodino stepped in it. He obviously doesn’t come out from under his rock often as Rush is looking pretty svelte these days.

You mean the same Rush that was basically right about the leftism of Obama from the outset?

  • Andrew

If this decision is upheld, Obama should be impeached for violating his oath of office.

        • Jim Denney

I disagree, the country has survived stupid presidents before. Cunning & evil Muslim sympathizers, maybe not so much.

          • SJ’s Dad

            Stupid yes, but crazy?
otherwise, totally agree with your take on “O”

        • rinodino

Calm down and step away from your “type gun”. And you will see that I’m right and you’re wrong…. Obama will not be impeached

          • ked5

I may believe it won’t happen, but not because he doesn’t deserve it but because there are too many shenangians going on behind the scenes.
and the senate is full of left-wing wackadoodles.

          • Brad

Since you’re never right, this make it more likely Odumbo may well be impeached…

            It’s the thought that counts.

          • Yashmak

Probably true, but sad for the sake of our nation.

    UAW ——Useless American Workers.
    SEIU——-Stupid Employees in Unions.

    • gensec

Since the bailout, I’ll never buy another UAW car again. There are lots of good cars made by American workers not in the UAW, e.g. BMW, Honda, Toyota etc

    • Yashmak

It’s counter-productive to point fingers at the union membership. They’re working hard and (at least in the case of UAW workers) helping to keep a shrinking US manufacturing jobs market from disappearing altogether. Many of them don’t have any idea what the union is doing politically. They just pay their dues because they have to, to work.

It’s the union bosses/administration that deserves your ire.

      • Becci Springer

Hum, those workers, are not what is keeping manufacturing jobs here. The companies they work for are keeping the jobs here. The bail out of the car companies was nothing more than a pay check for the union. And it is the workers that continue to allow unions to take money from their pay checks every week. A good example is the push for states to become right to work states. Take Wisconsin for example. Once those teachers and public servants stopped doing millions of dollars of damage to their state capital, and had to start writing a check every week and mailing it to the union, Oh my guess what, they stopped paying their dues. The best or I should say worst thing that could of ever happened to unions was the disgusting display they have made every time someone threatens their paycheck. They have shown their true colors to the world, all in the name of the middle class. They feed you with their “middles class” BS. They are NOT let me repeat that NOT for the middle class. What they do want is control. So then they try the scare game telling you that you will lose all your bennies and your nice paychecks. Yes that maybe the case of some companies, but most companies in this country are not the villains the unions want you think they are. And we also have laws in this country that protect workers. Thugs like Trumka are living a very nice life off your dime. When was the last time you got to hang out in the WH? In reality he should not even be there anymore than any other American.

  • Will NV

Congress needs to outlaw public sector unions, those clowns work for us not the government.

    • ked5

we are the borg. you will be assimilated. your culture will adapt to serivce us (ie. the unions/gov’t) resistance is futile.

      to quote worf: assimilate this . . . . .

It is part of their narrative, to destroy the definition of terms, so bad means good and nothing means something.

Orwell would be proud. Newspeak lives.

(well, he’s probably rolling over in his grave. he warned against this.)

        • Ralph_Gizzip

Then Obama could be described as doubleplus ungood and Jay Carney is up there spouting doubleplus badspeak.

        • Yashmak

Funny, I was just commenting to a friend the other day (in the wake of the kindergarten girl being suspended for the bubble gun thing), that it’s turning out Orwell wasn’t just a writer, he was a prophet.

    • MominMich

Here in Michigan we have a Supreme Court judge who has had to resign because of fraud. You always have to go to the very end of the article to find out that she is a Democrat. If she were a Republican it would probably be mentioned in the headline or the first sentence.

      • mike_in_kosovo

Funny how that always seems to be case, isn’t it?

      • http://www.vatican.va/ Rulz

O/T Why has Twitchy allowed a Al Franken for Senate 2014 ad on the site? It says, “Corporations are not people. Help Al Franken overturn Citizens United.”

Can we stay away from Political ads for 2013, please?

If Minnesota gets a good candidate, Franken will lose.

And no one is talking about citizens united in Minnesota or anywhere else.

Shorter Richard Trumka: Republican Judges suck. We know Democrats happily ignore the Constitution.

  • George Washington Mclintock

This news is a MONSTER win for our side. One of Barry’s biggest executive power grabs gets shot down in court, and so a whole bunch of corrupt union goons and radical recess appointments get washed away. Check the NLRB decisions that are thrown out because of this, such as , Charter schools fall under the influence of the Labor Board, and micro-unions are valid. A huge blow to Barry’s union base.

Funny thing about those “Republican judges” –

Sentelle (1987) and Henderson (1990) were unanimously confirmed by Democrat-controlled Congresses.

Obama, Biden, Reid and Durbin all voted to confirm Griffith in 2005.

Poor little Richie, trying to throw cr*p at the wall to see what he can make stick.

If Richard Trumka hates it, I don’t need to know much more to love it.

  • Karl H

Funny that photo of Mrs. Mom Jeans with both hands on Dick Trumka’s shoulders made me realize just who was going to “lean forward” tonight….

I just hope Dick remembers how the lower level union thugs treat an upper level union thug when he looses his edge and cannot get results anymore. Perhaps they will take him to dinner followed by a short drive and a visit to the grave of Jimmy Hoffa.
