NOLA Times-Picayune reports Ray Nagin indictment with Bush-centric photo

Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin was indicted today on 21 charges of corruption. Naturally, the Times-Picayune picked an appropriate photo to accompany the story:

Good to know Bush Derangement Syndrome is alive and well in the Big Easy.

Do these media outlets even care that the vast majority of people no longer take them seriously? Apparently, no.

Ray Nagin now the favorite to replace Stedman Holder at DOJ.

It seems as though these “media sources” are beginning to revel in the bias. In their opinion, no one is calling them on it, so lets see JUST HOW FAR we can take it. So truly pathetic.

    why bother indicting him….
Bush already paid for Nagins crimes many times over thanks to the media. All w/o ever doing a damned thing wrong.
    f’ing media…

    • Ken Alan Draper

oh, Bush did a lot of things wrong, but none of those things had much to do with Hurricanes, 9/11, or anything else the media was going ape over. and they would never dream of whining about the things he did get wrong like big government programs & bailouts.

      • Jillane Kent

To be fair, he had a bit of help in the big government/bailout department. As the Executive, he could have gotten none of these programs instituted without help from the Legislative branch.

How lame is he, if, according to USA Today, he is the first NO mayor in the 295 yr history of the city to be indicted by the feds?

    • Ken Alan Draper

just the first one to get caught.

Nagin corrupt? Who’d’a thunk it?! And 21 charges–two more and he’d have a set of Excrementive Orders.

  • dwsmokin

Perhaps they’ve come to realize that GW handled Katrina at LEAST as well as Obama handled Sandy-and that Mayor Ray was the one who dropped the ball.
