Newsweek revels in Obama cultism with creepy ‘second coming’ Inauguration cover

First the angel Obama-el got his gay-lo from Newsweek, and now, in the creepy 2013 Inauguration issue, he’s the second coming.

Framing President Obama as our lord and savior isn’t surprising. We’re more shocked by the news that Newsweek still has covers after killing its print publication. But that doesn’t make it any less creepy and cult-like.

Hey, Newsweek knows its readers. (We think “readers” with an “s” is accurate, but our data may be stale.)

Good thing Newsweek had no credibility to lose! [Update: It’s kind of hilarious that Newsweek’s editors think this kind of trolling will result in increased readership.]

Glad you asked. Here’s Newsweek’s 2005 “Inaugural Issue”:

Hey clown, your not worth an actual azz on a human body after a night of chili cheese dog eating and beer drinkin’

      • Joe W.

That would be “you’re”, sonny. Better quit cutting your freshman English class, Shitforbrains. You continue to make a complete and total fool of yourself. We enjoy laughing at and mocking you. Of course, you are simply too dense to notice, apparently.

        • Dallas Worthy

You enjoy mocking people? Guess that makes you cool.

          • Joe W.

None of your bidness, ass breath….the “people” called me a clown, and he is, as a matter of fact, a blithering idiot. Just like you. GFY.

You wipe your azz? I find that hard to believe.

Yep…Right after you get finished licking it, Douche Nozzle….

  • $30423294

It would be funny if it were clever or novel.

    But it’s just hostile.

Remember how 9-11-01 brought us all briefly together? Yeah, so this is what New Yorkers think of us rubes in flyover country now. They’re giving us an obscene gesture.

Yes, it is hurtful. But in a way I appreciate knowing who these people really are inside. We all know where we stand. I am proud of where I stand. I can sleep at night.

    • Marcy Cook

Hey….only the liberal elite New Yorkers. I’m a New Yorker and believe me the only thing that keeps me filled with hope is that my fellow Americans in the flyover states have not changed. And, also you can take comfort in the fact that not all New Yorkers are how they’ve been portrayed. Anywhere above NYC/Westchester County you will find true patriots and a lot of them and we are armed. Unfortunately when it comes to voting the big voting block is in the city with the low information voters and in Westchester county where those who are doing well financially have a lot of guilt and vote liberal all the time. It’s mind boggling to me.

      • $30423294

Careful, don’t let the young folks know that the way to truly be an individual in America, to be a rebel, is to believe in traditional principles.

And don’t let them know that there are millions of us! Shhh!

      • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

I can verify that. I spent a bit of time in the early 80s, up and down the Hudson Valley, all the way up to Ft Ticonderoga. Great people. It’s a shame you’re yoked to the moonbats in NYC.

      • lainer51

actually HillBillary campaigned in the non-NYC areas (having never lived in NY prior to that she had to pretend she cared). The sad thing is, after they were duped, they have now been forgotten… take a drive thru upstate NY sometime, it is sad.

      • godspal53

I remember the days when us Upstaters in NY wanted to invest in a really large saw and cut the City free……we had better senses of humor back then to be sure,,,wellll, of course we’d still like to

  • Fire and Adjust!

Does “the second coming” also imply Obama intends on ruling for 1,000 years?………. Well, do you know which other state leader in the last 100 years dreamed of a 1,000 year reich?

    • $30423294

Oh come on now, no Hitler references. We are supposed to be civil while they crap on us.

      • Fire and Adjust!

Just asking a question based on an observation of fact.

        • $30423294

my reply was supposed to be sarcasm, sorry

          • Fire and Adjust!

No problem, I understood that, my subsequent response was for the benefit of any of our liberal friends reading this thread who can’t grasp the intricacies involved with observations or statements of fact and how, even if a fact is unpleasant, it doesn’t eliminate its existence as a fact.

          • godspal53

        One of John Boehner’s testicles.

  • http://twitter.com/KaraMoore1967 Kara Moore

His is a cult of personality. The media has been telling Obama supporters since day one. “A cult of personality arises when an individual uses mass media, propaganda, or other methods, to create an idealized, heroic, and, at times god-like public image, often through unquestioning flattery and praise.”

The populace praises Obama just as the Germans did Hitler, just as the Russians did Stalin and just as the Koreans did Kim Jong Il. The mass media keeps the populace propagandized to the point if you disagree, you are called a racist, when no evidence of racism is there. You can’t just disagree with Obama’s politics, if you do then you are a hater. Where does this notion come from? The same mass media that vaunts his position as cult leader.

He has been presented in the media as a “messiah figure” since day one and they got that idea from where? From his own speeches. He was the one who said you would have an epiphany (directly related to a religious experience) and the light would shine through the window (again, using religious overtones) to vote for Obama. Then he said he was going to bring Hope and Change while artists drew halos around his head and Latin Americans were calling him the messiah. He misinterprets the Bible on a daily basis, as though he is able to change the meanings.

It was the mass media that he used to solidify himself as a “messiah figure” and that makes him dangerous. He is narcissistic because he believes he can do no wrong and that he has power. And he had the power of manipulation over the minds of people who have fallen into his cult of personality. Those of you who refuse to see that you have been victims will reject what I say and you will give the predictable, parroted responses that you have been trained to say. You are the Manchurian Candidates. So now I will sit back and watch you do the predictable. You have been trained to do so.

    • Joseph Phillips

Excellent summation. I don’t understand, and maybe I’m too simple, why the media is so in the tank with this guy. If their businesses are to make money, why not dig in, do some real journalism, and beat your competition? It is fascinating, but also really scary, how there are no tough questions presented to this guy.

      • http://twitter.com/KaraMoore1967 Kara Moore

Maybe because they are making money off his image?

      • 6cheri6

Because he told them so and also because any media outlet that criticizes him will be deemed racist. If this guy was white he never would have gotten the nomination from his own party!!

        • Tigre57

The joke’s on all of us then, because he IS half white. I have a good strong faith in God and I know the outcome to the whole story, so I don’t find him scary. Not even the wonderful Obama can change God’s plan. But it is sad to watch my beloved nation fall under his spell. :( I had my hopes that the US would remain on God’s side to the end. I have my doubts now.

          • godspal53

It shouldn’t have suprised anyone the day of The Democrat’s shouted down God and “Jerusalem remaining the Capitol of Israel” at the Democratic National Convention,,,,,The Dems don’t seem like They’re too interested in keeping in tune with God and the Bible these days,,,you do know an attempt to banish the Bible from this Inaguration has been attempted, yesss???

      • John Free

Through Executive Order, he has some control over the media. In fact, if you see the list of services, commodities, utilities, etc. that he supposedly now controls- you would be shocked. If this is true- our FREEDOM teeters precariously in the balance, and if No one MOVES to intercede, we truly are lost.

      • dtcsd

THINK ABOUT IT AWHILE. THE MEDIA ARE ULTRA LIBERAL AND HE IS THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT. THATS WHY.

        • Dawn Street

Not only that, but watch those who dare to stand up to him and watch them cower and slink away. He has something on them or has made threats against them to cause them to behave this way. A story has been told that Bill Clinton planned to out him before the 1st election and his life was threatened. He was not afraid of him – but then a very good friend of his was killed and Obama said, “see what I can do”?? “You have a lovely daughter, Chelsea”… and Bill and Hillary caved in and she gave up the nomination and became Sec of State. I have no proof of this but check on D.W. Ulsterman’s page on FB and check out the info.

          • Christoph DeHaven

Interesting that Obama’s order to extend lifetime Secret Service protection to Presidents only applied to anyone elected after 1997–just after Clinton’s last election. He had to include a President other than himself, but excluded Clinton by a year. So the Clintons can be kept in line?

      • Aranna Vallotton

Romney presented a lot of questions during the debates, all of which were answered with “UM, Let me be clear, UM The American People Need Um etc. etc”..He never answers a question, he just stood there looking like he just got beat up, That was for the benefit of his followers, they felt sorry for him instead of being pissed off for his lack of informed answers,.

      • doc20002001

i agree – but what happens when obmama doesn’t do what they like and then they stat to bash him and grows weary of the ignorant serfs and put them on his list as trouble makers – didn’t Hitler do that with the brown shirts, when he got to where he need he systematically eliminated the brown shirts – liberals should read their history

    • V the K

Anyone who isn’t a cultist cannot help but be struck by Obama’s utter indifference to fiscal realities. (“We don’t have a spending problem.”) It stands in sharp contrast to his balls-to-the-wall efforts to push gun control and Amnesty.

Anyone who isn’t a cultist would question whether Amnesty and Gun Control are more important than deficit reduction and restoring the economy.

      • 6cheri6

Plus he is rubbing the Republicans nose in the fact he got elected. Na na nana na na. And nothing is more important than HIS power!

Ericksonian Theory and Techniques of Mass Hypnosis. Google it and you will find out why things have happened this way. He is a very skillful manipulator and draws in the masses. Hitler did the same thing.

    • Christoph DeHaven

Good summary. What other Prez has had schoolchildren singing hymns to him? And just today, a Fox journalist felt the need to note “He’s a human being” as if that needed to be clarified). One addition: he’s also a narcissist because he has a personality disorder that makes him crave praise. When he doesn’t get it, he lashes out (look at his reaction to supporter Matt Damon’s recent remarks). The man has been raised from childhood by his America-hating mom to believe he was special, but kept back by the evils of American society–which he must therefore “fundamentally transform.”

    The spirit of the Antichrist.

      Yep.

      • BeyondPolls

I think we have two decades maximum.

    • http://www.greendragonweb.com/ Bryan Johns

Isn’t there something in the Bible about the Antichrist coming out of the East? I seem to remember that in a sermon once. Anyway, if you go far enough East from Jerusalem, you’ll eventually reach Chicago.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000302448444 Jeff Barnett

Kenya (where he was actually born by admission) is pretty East to me.

        • http://www.greendragonweb.com/ Bryan Johns

Doesn’t quite work. The Bible was written from an Israel centric point of view. So references of someone coming from the East would be East of Israel. Kenya is due-South of Israel.

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000302448444 Jeff Barnett

True, I was being sarcastic. Although, who really knows how anyone described their particular region back then. Example; we say “Middle East” to describe particular countries in a region. I had a friend from Saudi Arabia and he never referred to it as such. To him they were Muslim countries or he would refer to each one by name.

      • BeyondPolls

It is assumed that the Antichrist will come from the Roman Empire, but nobody really knows what that means. It could mean he will be Roman, or just European. Or America could be a copy of the Roman Empire and he could be American. I don’t know.
But I know that Obama is not the Antichrist.

        • janedoh1

he has anti-Christ spirit but he is definitely not THE anti-Christ. I think the anti-Christ will be a lot smarter. Obama is just one mediocre politician backed by more powerful, smart, evil people

          • BeyondPolls

I agree. He has antichrist elements such as getting people to follow after him mindlessly and being generally egotistic, but he’s still too wishy-washy to be the Antichrist. Hard to believe, I know.

          • Kate

I actually wonder if this man is a complete idiot with a slick campaign staff (his fiscal policies make me think so), or if he is truly diabolical and knows EXACTLY what he’s doing.

          • http://www.greendragonweb.com/ Bryan Johns

I agree. The anti-Christ is supposed to be embued with super-natural powers. Calling lightning from the sky, healing the deadly wound, etc.

        • Gladys Crump

The Bible never says he is from the Roman Empire….it does say he will come from an eastern country however…..as in Middle East or Africa.
Don’t know if he is an Anti-Christ, but most people don’t realize that the term Anti-Christ doesn’t mean “against Christ”, but “instead” of Christ, like taking the place of or substitute for Christ, as evidenced by things like this mag cover and other examples of his being pictured and introduced publically as Christlike…..

          • BeyondPolls

I said it is assumed that the little horn comes from the iron beast, but I see what you mean.
The spirit of the antichrist is in the world now; the Bible tells us this much. I believe it previously influenced people such as Hitler and Stalin.
Well, it means both against and instead of Christ.

          • http://www.greendragonweb.com/ Bryan Johns

You hit the nail on the head.

        • 1SkepticalChick

          Maybe he’s just practice.

          • BeyondPolls

Yeah, could be part of it.

      • http://www.facebook.com/annathule Annathule

Indonesia. That’s what I get from reading the Bible and where it says the a/c is supposed to come from, also muslim. That’s kinda the “near east”. The biggies in the Christian world are stuck on East Europe, but that’s not how I read it.

        • http://www.greendragonweb.com/ Bryan Johns

Any directional reference in the Bible would be from an Israel-centric point of view. So the anti-Christ coming from an eastern nation would be some nation East of Israel which disqualifies Europe and most of Africa. So to be honest, it’s most likely some Asian nation that an Israelite of the time would have realistically known about.

  • http://jeannie-ology.com/ Jeannieology

Isn’t it funny how Barack Obama has no problem allowing Biblical comparisons between himself and Jesus stand? Yet, when he went to Georgetown University to speak he requested that the crucifixes by covered as to not distract from his speech. I call this blasphemous.

    • http://twitter.com/KaraMoore1967 Kara Moore

He asked that crucifixes be covered? He asked people to cover their religious faith, to accept him as the messiah? Holy Lord Jesus, save us from this Caesar Nero.

          • Jake_Arr

The only “spirit” evident in Obama is satan’s imp as a place holder for a full indwelling at a later date!

          • Peter Burkey

Fruit inspectors, at least. In fact, Dawn, Jesus tells us to “Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.” (John 7:24).

The passages you refer to actually warn of either being careful that you don’t judge while being hypocritical, or not to judge someone’s ability to go to heaven.

We all make judgments every day. We do need to judge correctly, and that means that mere opinions are not enough.

          • Dawn Street

Thank you, Peter. You have great insight. One of your gifts of the Spirit.

Assuming, of course, he agrees to leave office at the end of his second term.

      • Gladys Crump

He doesn’t, they will get rid of the 22 ammendment, watch and see, he has no intention of ever leaving nor did he ever have any intentions of leaving. He is your president forever, I hope everyone who voted for him enjoys their time in hell.

        • acriticalthinker

Yeah, an executive order will take care of the 22nd amendment…..and a few other pesky obstacles to a fully “fundamentally transformed” America.

          • Dawn Street

Actually, the Bill of Rights and its attendant Amendments are supposed to trump any Executive order or whatever he is calling those missives these days. He is not supposed to be able to change laws enacted by Congress nor is he supposed to be able to amend or nullify an Amendment.

          • acriticalthinker

But Obama has little respect for the Constitution. He is not “supposed” to be able to do a lot of things he is doing, but he is doing them anyway…..and a lot of people inexplicably seem to like what Obama is doing.

Really? *What* do they ‘expect’? I mean, I really have no idea what they expect, aside from ‘taxing the rich’.

Among his supporters there seems to be no clamor at all for jobs, or for an expanding economy. The MSM have so misled the low-info populace that they (the voters) regard O as a sort of J.R. They are are so mesmerized by his image that they have lost touch with the fact that the ‘show’ and its consequences are very real.

That’s right, the second coming and it has you righties running scared; so what’s the problem?

You will feel better when the drugs wear off…….but you will still be stupid.

that’s because you can’t fix stupid, just blur it from time to time.

And yet you’re fine with the Cult of Personality surrounding the President.

So for the most civil of the civil, for a bunch of atheist haters and religious persecutors making a blasphemous reference to a religious figure they don’t even believe in is perfectly acceptable and not at all hypocritical–or rather despicable–is it?

    • el_polacko

hate the cultish cover but if you don’t believe in it, you can’t be ‘blaphemous’.

  • lainer51

Perfect N.W. cover from 2005 – George (liberal loony) Clooney corrected a conservative journalist last year for referring to Obama as (get ready) “Obama”… he so righteously schooled this journalist that, no matter your “leanings”, the president should ALWAYS be referred to as PRESIDENT Obama…. oh the irony of it all!

    • http://www.washingtonnearsider.com Washington Nearsider

And yet, as a matter of principle, George Clooney never uttered the words “President Bush” when referring to Bush 43.

Hebrews 10:28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Careful President Obama…..Acts 12:21  And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.
22  And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.
23  And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

  • http://twitter.com/mr_kruk Mr. Kruk

The vitriol against this man is un-Christ like. Nietzsche was right – God is dead. And Christians have killed him. This cover is in reference to what is termed, the Great Man Theory. Read a book, please.

    • http://www.washingtonnearsider.com Washington Nearsider

He’s earned every drop. President Obama’s entire career has been based on pitting one group against another.

    • V the K

Ah, Alinsky tactics. No vitriol against the left allowed.

  • Teresa Davis McCormick

    But there’s no cult, right?

Point to a single accomplishment Obama has earned that actually involved producing something.

And now he’s onto banning guns ‘for the children.’

I’m sorry, but any President who wielded his power as a Senator to actively prevent the passage of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act has absolutely no moral authority with which to tell me ANYTHING.

  • Dallas Worthy

This site is great at getting crazy wing-nuts to look at liberal media. It’s all liberal media! Don’t any of you losers realise that Malkin is playing you all for idiots? You’re buying what they are selling. Eyeballs eyeballs. Bwahahahaha!

    • RightThinking1

Uh…, we are merely mocking (and it is easy to do, they invite it) the promoters of the O-cult.

    • Joe W.

Yet YOU are here, eh Shitforbrains??

    • jkimbr

What I am STILL trying to understand is why liberals think of the gub’mint as a loving, caring parent who has the best intentions. I have asked this over and over of the trolls on conservative sites, and NO ONE can explain it to me. Why DO you trust the gub’mint so much? Do you realize that this country was founded by a bunch of people who were suspicious of a big, powerful gub’mint, and did everything they could to keep the gub’mint caged like a dangerous animal, only to be used under close supervision to accomplish very specific jobs?

What is the matter with you people? WHY do you trust gub’mint so much? It is not an American value.

  • Dallas Worthy

Twitchy is the real cult of Obama. This site is obsessed with the guy. Can’t get enough! Just look at how much time you spend talking about liberals. And NO time talking about converative ideas. Maybe cause the conservative narrative is simply a reactionary one.

    • RightThinking1

      Well…, Ok.

Paraphrasing Goldwater, “Reacting to creeping totalitarianism is no vice.”

      • Dallas Worthy

        fear mongering, plain and simple.

        • RightThinking1

Hmmm. Yes. Well, let’s see. Conservatives feared that this administration would:
Exacerbate social divides – It has.
Exacerbate racial divides – It has
          Raise taxes – It has
Increase health care costs – It has
          Produce unemployment – It has
          Increase dependency – It has
Earn the contempt of allies – It has
Botch foreign relations – It has
Encourage illegal immigration – It has
Saddle generations with debt – It has

The list goes on and on, but I should not be too surprised if you regard those things as positive. Simply labeling genuine concerns as ‘fear mongering’ rather begs the question. Might one not just as easily say that you are in a pathological state of denial?

You really are nutty aren’t you? Did you even finish high school? Your mind is filled with sick and twisted ideas. They are like a virus eating out your brain. Thankfully there are many skilled liberal doctors who might be able to help you out with your evil views on liberals.

          • BeeKaaay

Aww, poor widdle leftwingwacko. Wipe your mouth, will ya? You’re getting your keyboard wet.

I know, you believe I am doing the worst evil in the universe by disagreeing with you (yes, even worse than war or genocide) but you will have to learn to live with people who don’t share your leftwingwacko opinions.

Just learn to be inclusive, open, accepting. I know, that’s hard. Leftwingwackoism tells you to do the opposite.

          • Dallas Worthy

By disagreeing with liberals you are simply admitting you are an idiot. Rightwingwackos just don’t get it. But that’s OK. It’s not your fault. Your brains are just running on old, outdated, obsolete software.

  • Luke Meter

Soooo liberals gleefully ridicule and attack anyone that believes in God the father, but then turn around and shamelessly fawn over and indeed worship the most amoral, divisive, deceitful, and arrogant disaster of a president in American history? It is utterly astounding how they keep calling themselves progressive.

What I am STILL trying to understand is why liberals think of the government as a loving, caring parent who has the best intentions. I have asked this over and over of the trolls on conservative sites, and NO ONE will explain it to me. Maybe they can’t explain it; it is just a FEELING they have. Maybe they have experienced parental abandonment and they are substituting the government for their parents?

Liberals: Why DO you trust the government so much? Do you realize that this country was founded by a bunch of people who were suspicious of a big, powerful government, and did everything they could to keep the government caged like a dangerous animal, only to be used under close supervision to accomplish very specific jobs?

What is the matter with you people? Having an adoring trust of government, or of ANYONE in the government, is not an American value.
