Awesome: Jake Tapper wants vets flown to Medal of Honor ceremony, JetBlue responds; Update: JetBlue, Southwest to help with costs

CNN’s Jake Tapper is a great supporter of our military, and earlier this week, he asked various airlines to help bring vets to Washington D.C. to see former Staff Sgt. Clinton Romesha receive the Medal of Honor.

Southwest Airlines responded initially:

But evidently, they weren’t able to fulfill Tapper’s request. So Tapper looked elsewhere:

And JetBlue expressed interest in taking care of things:

Let’s hope JetBlue is able to make something happen. It would certainly be a wonderful way to honor our heroes.

Update:

Success! Both JetBlue and Southwest Airlines came through for the troops, vets and Gold Star families.
