Panic: Vaccine shortages, long lines for flu shots; People use Twitter to find vaccine

Wow. As Twitchy reported, many are wearing masks as a precaution as the flu spreads. And many others are trying to get the flu vaccine now in order to protect themselves. However, that is becoming increasingly difficult to do.

Celebrity Nicky Hilton weighs in.

?Just got my flu shot ? My doctor said supplies are running low so hurry up! #bettersafethansorry

Easier said than done now, Nicky. Many places are running out, or have already run out, of the vaccine.

Why she won’t tell where she is going to get a flu shot? To avoid lines like this:

It's a long wait to get the flu shot! Lets hope this line goes by quickly!

Line for the flu shot is thiiick!

Quite a line for flu shots this morning

Expect the long waits to continue:

Indeed. Stay healthy, everyone! Twitter can help; Twitter users are tweeting information to let others know where the flu shot is still available.

The power of Twitter!

Does anyone remember what the Democrats were saying the last time we had a flu panic in 2004?
Funny how you haven’t heard a peep out of any of them yet.

    • Seriously?

      Thank you for that – it’s priceless…..

I heard on Bauer and Rose (SiriusXM Patriot channel) this morning that there are more than 70,000 fewer vaccines available this year than in ’04. Back then, they noted, the MSM called the CDC “the Bush CDC.” This year they are referred to as just “the CDC.”

Won’t it be Soooooo much better when an unelected bureaucrat, with no medical training, will decide WHO will get vaccines, and WHERE you HAVE TO GO to get them.

Glad we voted on that health care bill so we could find out what’s in it.

% of people who contract the flu simply by being in a Walgreens, CVS, etc?

i don’t know what the problem is, my doctor begged me to get one this week. no waiting, just which arm do you want it in.

My employer-paid HMO sent out notices last October giving us a range of dates over a 3-4 week period to come in for the free flu shot. I walked in after work, rolled up my sleeve, and that was it.

Hardly any of my LIV co-workers took advantage of this opportunity and already a few have been sick. I guess some people have to take a direct hit to pay attention.

This waiting in line now is good practice for what’s to come when Obamascare is in full operational mode.

    Don’t get vaccines. I don’t trust them.

I learned the importance of an up to date vaccine and shot record through decades in uniform. Even if I have to turn at head for injections.

I don’t feel so bad about getting my flu shot at my local Safeway way back in November.
Took all of fifteen minutes. No line at all. Nice lounge to relax in before and afterwards.

Also got a 10% off coupon that came in right handy right after the new year.

The shot did exactly what it was supposed to do. A light two day bout three days later.

Poor planning does become an emergency for those who don’t plan when it comes to the flu vaccine. Maybe in October they’ll be more aware of the electronic signs that spring up with the following message “Flu shots available here”.
