Non-shocker of the day: Taylor Swift has another public heartbreak

Oh, dear. The pop-country princess just knew her most recent boy-toy, One Direction’s Harry Styles, was trouble. Above, she quoted from her own hit single, “I Knew You Were Trouble,” after returning from a vacation-gone-awry with the 1D band member.

Fake shocked faces abound today on social media:

Another unsurprised bystander: Father Swift.

Ya think?

Then step away from the microphone, cameras, and playboys, dear:

    Wheres Snooki?

  • Conrad2010

    Swift needed new song material.
Wonder how long before it’s release.

  • TugboatPhil

    I really am getting old.

  • Moue La Moue (D)

I’d face palm myself over this, but really, I like my face. Taylor, please, for the love of all that is Holy/Logical — just stop dating, girl. Or date someone NOT in the “biz”, it never seems to work out.

  • lazypadawan

If it wasn’t for the fame, the money, and her cute looks, Tay-tay would be considered a creepy clingy girlfriend.

  • Lady 12

I guess her break-up cycle Began Again!

  • kayakingfatso

I can’t imagine being a celebrity and having every relationship/breakup scrutinized by people who don’t know me. I don’t envy her position. Though I do envy her bank account. 😉

  • GaryTheBrave

Taylor, go to a Tea Party rally, meet a nice young blue collar conservative man (not a boy) and you’ll find happiness.

    • Gary Rudick

      Tea Party Rally! Seriously? C-H-U-R-C-H

  • stuckinIL4now

So now is she gonna write another useless stupid song by rearranging the notes and words from the original song she wrote bcuz every song she sings sounds the same and has the same inane juvenile dumbmass sounding lyrics I’ve ever heard.

  • nc

I know I seem a little old for this, but am a big fan of hers and happen to think she has enormous talent, particularly as a songwriter and performer. She hit it big when she was very young, still a teen, and, except for these boyfriend disasters, has handled her personal life exceptionally well. No substance abuse, immodesty, etc.

Given the same circumstances, how well would YOU have held up in the constant public eye at her age?

She will learn from these mistakes, but in the meantime, she’s producing great songs and is a true original. Young girls could do a lot worse than to admire her.

    • Lisa Dean

I respect your opinion but her relationships don’t last longer than it takes to get new material for her next album. I’m 44 and I can remember a few words for girls that went through boyfriends like she does and admiration wasn’t among them.

    • Randi Starr

She needs a good girlfriend, ya know, the ones that eat pizza with you, watch movies and can trust your life with because they have your back! Men are easy to get………….a solid friend, now that’s priceless!

    • Dan Thorpe

I am with you man. The problem that I see is that she gets so serious about these guys so quickly that as a guy that might raise alarm bells. As someone said earlier she needs someone that is not famous at all and they can exist outside public scrutiny. I also agree that if you take away her breakup songs she still has a good career.

  • Lisa Dean

New Taylor Swift album released in 3..2..1..

If it weren’t for breakups she’d have no career at all, Gloom, Despair and Agony on Me…..

  • Alicia Layne

At least she’s not on drugs & shaving off her head like Britney Spears. Leave the girl alone. Sheesh. She never did anything to anyone.

    • Dan Thorpe

Had an opportunity to meet her about 2 years ago. I took my friend who was turning 21 because she is a huge fan. As a former musician, I had some contacts and I was able to get me and my friend backstage to meet Taylor. She was great to me and my friend, I got a real sense of sincerity from her that I don’t get from some. By all accounts she is well adjusted and down to earth, she just has crappy luck with guys.

  • sally1137

She should call a press conference and ask for privacy. There. That’ll fix it.

  • mickeyco

Taylor, honey, try dating a grown up. You’re way too young for these boy toys.

    • Dan Thorpe

She dated Jake Gyllenhall who is 32, 2 years ago. As I said she just needs someone that is not famous who can treat her well.

      • mickeyco

        Forgot him. Thanks, Dan.

  • Sincerely —

She’s what? 20? How would you have liked to had all that media attention on who you were casually dating when you were that age.

She should keep it a little more discreet. I don’t know if her MO is a PR move or Millenials really just don’t understand relationship etiquette.

    • Dan Thorpe

she’s 23 and she is a multiple grammy winner, sometimes discreet is impossible.

  • brewerandpatriot

I bet Harry tried to (Piers) Morgan her and take her musket away. I cannot wait for that song to drop! “You are never ever ever ever prying the gun out of my grip.” I have young daughters and know entirely too much of this dribble.

  • Brian Mouland

Harry is going to end up in a country song

  • ChampionCapua

Gee, how soon until she makes another inane “well, at least I got a song out of it” comment…as if she invented the concept of “putting Life’s disappointments into song” her very own self. #Hack #WorstPopularSingerEver #FlatAndSharp

    • Dan Thorpe

music throughout history is made up of songs about love that has gone bad. Many opera’s were famous for this the most known is “Die Liebestod” by Wagner. Of all the most recent musicians to come out in the last 10 years, she is one of favorites.

  • Guest

Taylor is turning into a skank, a very sweet one, though.

  • Alicia Layne

Not all of Taylor’s song are break-up songs. Speak Now, Mine, Ours, Our Song, You Belong With Me, Love Story, Fearless, Fifteen, Mean. They weren’t break-up songs. Mean was about being bullied. And there’s Back To December which was about realizing what you lost and swallowing your pride and admitting you are wrong. She writes great song. I find her “break-up songs” fun to listen to. Picture To Burn has humor in it along with Should’ve Said No and also We Are Never Getting Back Together.

  • Jen Edmund

They are never, ever, ever, ever getting back together…
