Alex Jones meets, mocks Piers Morgan in brain-melting ‘interview,’ challenges to boxing match

Talk show host and professional nutball Alex Jones was allowed on Piers Morgan’s CNN program tonight in order to make “Musket” Morgan look sane. (Well, the real reason was because Jones was a co-creator of the infamous “deport Piers Morgan” White House petition.) He did not disappoint. Instead of sitting for an interview, Jones merely showed up and started yelling at Morgan. Among other things, he labeled our favorit Brit a “hatchet man for the New World Order” and asked Morgan for a boxing match — and those were two of the most coherent things he said all night.

On one hand, it was sad. However, it was funny to watch Piers Morgan desperately barking, “Alex … Alex … Alex … calm down!” to no avail.

No, not the 9/11 conspiracies! Please!

Oh, also he called psychiatric medication “mass murder pills” and “suicide pills.”

In fairness, the accent was well done and probably the single most hilarious moment of the whole train wreck. It almost made Jones watchable.

Actually, Bryan, we kind of agree with you, and it takes a lot to get us to defend Piers Morgan.

Mercifully, it was a relatively short segment. The best summary was probably offered by the next guest, Alan Dershowitz, who said that in a court of law, Jones would be referred to as something other than a “witness.”

Yeah, that’s one word for what he is. We disagree with Morgan on the Second Amendment as much as anyone, but he played this one well. There is no worse representative for gun rights than Alex Jones. And speaking of amendments, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney had some news for Morgan as well today.

As is the right to bear arms … right?

“There is no worse representative for gun rights than Alex Jones.” which is another reason he was allowed on the show

    • JustLikeAnimals

      Precisely. Perhaps the “only” reason.

  • Jim Cooper

“MUST SEE TV”. What a farce. Anything for ratings eh boys! Sad to have them in this world and sadder still they get the attention they scream for. ESAD!

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002109532283 Jillane Kent

Hence why I prefer Beck’s network. At the very least, you’ll find sane discourse and no “stunts” during the news programming. It is well worth the 2 week free trial for those looking for an alternative.

      • Mac

Beck takes Jones’ content, waters it down for his low information demographic and presents it as his own. Plus he’s a neocon twat which is always a negative, and probably why you like him.

  • anthonybgonzalez

Amid the optics take twitchy is going with here, Piers had no argument othr than his same lame ass questions. Alex needed all but 30 seconds to refute his bullshit, the rest was glorious subterfuge.

  • MoxieLouise

But did he beat Honey Boo Boo’s ratings??

    • sally1137

Probably not, since it was CNN.

  • slapshwan22

If Alex Jones is back than Piers Morgan got his biggest ratings ever and isn’t that the whole point to all of this.

    • JustLikeAnimals

Actually, I think Piers’s agenda is simply to have on as many irritated, impassioned pro-gunners as possible and goad them into ranting like Jones and Pratt did in an effort to paint all gun owners are radical, raving, lunatics. Jones played right into Piers’s hands. In this regard, Piers: -2- Gun Owners: -0-

      • 1SkepticalChick

Exactly. That was the sole purpose of this show. And Jones was right there, doing everything he possibly could to help out with that.

  • Destroy Progressives

Alex Jones is an American hero!

    • sally1137

Exactly. They’ll mock him for being extremely pissed off and articulate.

    • susannahc

      Oh Please …..

    • JustLikeAnimals

That’s a bit of a s-t-r-e-t-c-h. He is, however, a pretty good candidate for Prozac.

  • NetizenKane

Re-play in Slo-Mo. Morgan’s one thought to Jone’s one hundred. Jones should have let Morgan talk and be his Libtard self.

  • Rick20033

I always though Alex Jones was *maybe* nutty, but mostly manipulating other nuts. He convinced me tonight that he is absolutely CRAAAAZY. That said, I would give real money to see him and Piers Morgan in a boxing ring, because Morgan disrespects his guests by calling them “stupid”, etc. I don’t think he’d do that if there was a boxing ring on his set.

    • JustLikeAnimals

Piers in a “Jolly Roger” would be worth the price of admission. hehehehehehehe

      • thetreyman

that comment by jones had me wondering if he really meant jolly roger witch is a skull and crossbones or the union jack witch is the british flag flown at sea. anyway, im probably the only one who gave this a second thought and i guess it doesnt matter.

    • JustLikeAnimals

Piers in a “Jolly Roger” would be worth the price of admission. hehehehehehehe

  • andy

My take-away from this is that Piers can actually conduct an interview with a little bit of decorum. He’s not making himself look any better right now. Invite a crack-pot on your show and let him carry on and on. Invite Larry Pratt on and call him an “unbelievable stupid man”, as well as interrupting, being utterly disrespectful, and clearly pushing an agenda with other gun-control opponents. Interviewing the lunatic author of a white house petition doesn’t make the sentiment of the petition total lunacy. There are probably at least 100,000 people who would agree with that. The only point he is proving right now is that he CAN interview people and let them get a word in, he just doesn’t do it with people who have a valid, or differing point. But at least he’s still in the news. Way to keep the ball rolling, Piers.

Why not interview one of these civilian heros who foiled crimes with their legally obtained firearm?

    • JustLikeAnimals

Yes! I’d love to see Piers interview that mom from GA that defended herself and her kids with a handgun. Not holding my breath, though.

  • devosf03

Alex’s brain was doing phrenetic cartwheels around Piers. I think the ideas ratio was about 100:1.

    • aPLWBinAK

Oh, Piers has ideas, they’re just all stupid, seditious, and anti-American

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeBeq0i03bg Booker

I don’t know how anyone could hold their laughter after watching that mocking British accent. Hilarious. Sorry, but Piers doesn’t deserve any respect after calling someone the other week “unbelievably stupid” just because he disagreed with him. And THAT guest was very polite.

  • Mark Richards

Thank you Alex Jones, for using Pier’s interview/debate tactics on himself. I’ve seen Morgan’s show. He will talk for 2 minutes, ask a question, let the guest speak for 10 seconds then interrupt. Rinse. Repeat.

I am a bit miffed that CNN pays this foreigner millions of dollars when an American of equal if not higher caliber can sit in the host’s seat.

Kudos Alex Jones, you may not be ready for prime time, but no one can deny you showed Piers Morgan tonight, we’re not returning to fifedom.

  • sqeptiq

In America, Alex Jones is a mainstream conservative. Let’s keep it real. Actually he’s milder than most conservatives. Calling for Obama’s assassination is normal private behavior for conservatives; they just don’t dare to say that sort of thing in public, cowards that they are.

    • Let’em Crash

One man cannot ruin a fundamental right, but I agree that his lack of cogency and frenetic manner did those who support the 2nd amendment much good. Then, to delve into the “truther” thing? Oh my…

    • Mac

Alex gave him the ribbing he justly deserved.

Are you honestly trying to tell me that LaPierre’s appearance was at all effective? Conservatives can act civilized and polite all they want but it won’t do any good against snide, turn-your-nose-up-at-people elitists like Morgan.

Pro freedom people get NOTHING out of acting polite towards those kind of people. Early Americans were looked at as savage ruffians by the crown, this is no different.

sop for lefties. bring on someone who represents the other side, use most of the program to incite him, then bring up a case where he looks like a nut at the very end. this way he never gets to defend his other positions. not that i agree with alex, but he did have some valid arguments, except the last one.

of course CNN would have a “ranting gun advocate” on their show – made Piers look sane (and that is almost impossible).
Re: “Piers should have knocked him the eff out?” – have you really looked at Piers? – we used to call that a sissy girl.

Rationally minded people in the conspiracy movement (yes, they do exist), especially those outside the 9/11 obsession (yep, those exist too), have never taken Alex Jones seriously; most are embarrassed to be associated with his name. Even William Cooper – the proverbial ‘prince’ of NWO conspiracies – hated the man while he was alive. And Cooper was no lover of Authority or any… well, Google his name and you’ll see what I mean. If HE thought Alex was a lunatic poser, it says something.

That noted, it cracks me up that people are tripping over THIS rant? Trust me, folks, what was on Musket’s program last night was not even close to his full-strength crazy…

Very disappointed as I watched Alan Dershowitz place his leftist social politics above the true foundations of the 2nd Amendment.

Piers vs. Jones was just a sideshow as neither have any credibility with their outrageous rhetoric. Jones took the bait and couldn’t have done more harm to the RKBA if he tried.

If Piers is uncomfortable amongst armed American’s, perhaps he should return to Britain and take his chances facing the music for his role in phone hacking. Me, I’d trust most armed and law abiding American’s than the Globalist shill Piers Morgan.

Hey, for arguments sake, when something is actually happening is it still just a theory, conspiracy or otherwise? Is there not an authentic, real, forceful, concerted effort by the government “currently” and for some time now to put strict limits on gun ownership despite the fact that in the very second amendment of the US Constitution it clearly states owning a gun is a right of citizenship? Just sayin’.

    • http://pennyrobinsonfanclub.net/ PennyRobinsonFanClub

Ok, I own a Glock and I think every other sane person in American should too. But the fact that Alex Jones owns 50 firearms is a little scary. For all his ranting about Prozac Alex would probably helped by a small daily dose that particular medication. Wow.

    • Just Another Guy

I don’t have a problem with Jones owning 50 or 500 firearms. Nothing he has ever done has ever threatened or harmed anyone. He’s just exercising his First Amendment Right concerning his Second Amendment Right.

It isn’t the number of firearms that make a difference. It is intent.

One little Raven (Sat Night Special .25 cal) can mess up someone’s day in the hands of a thug more than any number of firearms that Jones and other responsible gun owners will ever mess up someone’s day.

Where do you begin with this?

First of all, Alex Jones is NOT a conservative, and certainly not representative of conservatives. He’s a conspiracy theorist with a “name” thanks to George Noory.* He may be a NUT. More likely, he has discovered a schtick which – he knows – resonates with a lot of silly people.

After that performance last night, don’t be surprised if you see Jones on a lot of shows. He WILL be presented as representative of conservatives and – more importantly, with the coming assault on the 2nd Amendment – the “gun lobby.” If he’s a member of the NRA, that fact will be emphasized.

Since Wayne LaPierre was presentable and reasonable, and did make some good points worthy of consideration, we’ll be seeing a lot less of him.

(* Noory may be the most irresponsible man in America precisely because he has provided a platform for a lot of nuts and nonsense. Jared Loughner may have been in the audience, and influenced accordingly)

    • Justin Case

Wayne LaPierre fumbled magnanimously on Meet the Press. So many openings to make critical points supporting his “believed to be” extreme positions. For instance, didn’t he suggest in his Friday press conference preceding his MTP sit down that schools should employ armed guards? Well why wasn’t he ready to call Gregory out on the hypocrisy of armed guards for Gregory’s kids but the rest of America must tuff it out on their own? Not prepared, too polite, scared, trying to look sane, just a boring guy? Unfortunately allowing the interviewer to be the buffalo may make you look like a reasonable spokes person but it doesn’t win the day or cause a stir and spike ratings either. TV is a profit centric business first and foremost. A little balance between reason and passion would be best. In the end you’ll still be labeled a gun nut by the opposition no matter how calmly you argue the point.

    • Mac

Alex Jones is not a conservative? Put down the spliff and give that another thought. He’s one of the most anti-government, pro-liberty people in the world. He happens to be into conspiracies, which I’m sure wouldn’t bother you if it weren’t for the fact that he never kissed Bush’s ass.
