French actor Gerard Depardieu meets with Putin, receives Russian passport

French actor Gerard Depardieu recently decided he did not want to conform to France’s new 75 percent tax rate. As an alternative, he has become a Russian citizen.

Yesterday, he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and was granted a Russian passport.

Some call Depardieu a traitor because of his actions.

Laura Ingraham remains outraged that Putin has vowed to sign a bill that would prevent Americans from adopting Russian children.

These days, Putin is surely looking forward to Obama’s post-election flexibility.

Surely there are better countries to get a passport from for the reason of changing citizenship.

Yes. Yes there are. But stop calling me Shirley.

Somehow I think going to Russia for citizenship is going to bite ol’ Dippity-do in the butt one day.

    Oh, the irony . . . it burns . . .

@AP Depardieu loves his money more than his country. He’s a traitor to France.

It would never occur to her that perhaps France loves money more than her countrymen. But why would she, Regressives worldwide think this way.
