The fallout over concussion-gate continues; Daily Caller, BuzzFeed feud over Hillary Clinton reporting

As Twitchy has reported, no one really knows what’s up with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. News media anxious for an update have resorted to paparazzi-like photos of Clinton riding in an SUV for clues as to her medical condition — not really what we expected from a member of the most transparent administration ever.

While Clinton recuperates, the battle over concussion-gate continues. The Daily Caller’s Jim Treacher was among those called out by BuzzFeed’s Andrew Kaczynski in a piece titled, “8 People Who Thought Hillary Clinton Was Faking Her Concussion.” Treacher wasn’t happy to have a screenshot of one paragraph of his piece used a proof that he thought Clinton was faking it, when his article concluded that there was a media double-standard in place when it comes to demanding proof. Anyone out there remember when BuzzFeed and the rest ran that piece, “Senate Majority Leaders Who Thought Mitt Romney Hadn’t Paid Taxes for a Decade”?

Both the BuzzFeed piece and the Daily Caller piece stand, so you can read them for yourself and determine which piece is accurate. Or, like us, you can pop some popcorn and watch concussion-gate play out on Twitter. Kaczynski seems to be going with the “if you question our reporting, you might be a stalker” angle.

Who has the moral high ground here? One thing’s for sure: it’s not Andrew Sullivan, who demanded documentation that Sarah Palin was indeed the mother of her son Trig but found it “perverse” to question a Clinton’s integrity.

Outside of the media bubble, we’re glad to hear that Clinton has indeed been discharged from the hospital tonight and wish her a speedy recovery. And yes, we’re still anxious to hear her testimony on Benghazi.
