After voting for crap sandwich, Sen. Lindsey Graham says it’s time to control spending

Sounds good, but at the end of the day, Graham voted for a bill that raised taxes by $41 for every dollar in spending cuts. So, understandably, most tweeters weren’t in the mood to hear his tough talk:

  • Steve_J

They just never learn. Charley Brown has a better chance of actually kicking the football than the Republicans have of achieving any meaningful spending cuts.

I watched Cornyn, Hutchinson, and Graham’s statements come out this morning and it feels like we need disclosure, like on the Progressive Ins. commercial…
At the bottom it reads…………PAID ACTORS!!!

      • Vennoye

CYA, CYA, CYA……..too little, too late!! Am pretty sure Cornyn will have a tough election in 2014……probably will not win. Sure hope Graham does too…they have been in DC too long.

I am massively disturbed at the tacit acceptance of *bigotry*… by everybody.

    That’s all… this… is.

The wealth-creators (and other wealthy) are being demonized, as were the Jews of pre-Nazi Germany (Godwin can go climb a tree). Lies are being taken as truths by people who MUST know better!

“Last night, the Senate passed legislation, which prevents the expiration of the Bush-era tax cuts for 99 percent of Americans.”
TRANSLATION: 99% of the citizenry is more important than 1%. We are willing to persecute and sacrifice the one percent for the benefit of the 99%. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

And this is how the atrocities and horror of every despotism has started. Nazi, communist, fascist, socialist… all began with the premise that one individual’s wants, needs or *life*, was less valuable than the wants, needs or lives of ten, or a hundred, or a million. That somehow the value of human life was accumulative.

I have as much, if not more sympathy for an individual who dies alone, crushed under his vehicle on a remote highway, than I have for the 26 at Sandy Hook, or the 168 at the Murrah bombing.

But not these bastards. It serves their lust for political power to incite the most base, vulgar, *vile* prejudices and delusions in the population.

I have these same arguments used before. In that example the phrase “Four legs good, two legs bad” was used.

      • AMERICAN Kafirâ„¢(KAdams)

That was before Napoleon and Snowball learned how to walk on just their hind legs.

    • FIRE THEM ALL- 2014

It’s time for the American citizens to wake up and do something, if these people have been in office for more than two terms they are likely corrupt or being corrupted. What we want no longer matter’s, it is what they want that matters.

I don’t know what it will take to get young people to understand that it is the wealthy that provides them with
      Scholarships money,
and most of the Charity around the world.

When the government takes that money from private individuals, they don’t give it to the young and ignorant, or even the poor, they spend it on wages for yet another bloated government organization. That money never makes it into the hands of those who need it.

The cost of running these organizations is what is killing us, not poverty in our country. Money spent on job training is better spent than money spent on more TSA agents or other foolishness set up by our government. Wake up PEOPLE and FIRE THEM ALL it is time for a new way of doing business, and it isn’t socialism.

And apparently everyone paying their fair share means that 1% are penalized for being productive, because if everyone was paying their “fair share” taxes would have gone up on “everyone”.

Isn’t this the guy that was going to get to the bottom of Benghazigate? How’s that project coming along? Is there a success any Republican can point to? Have the spending cuts ever materialized even in the Reagan years? Since Ike has there ever been a year they actually spent less than they collected? But hey, don’t forget to put something into the collection basket when they come calling. Suckers.

So another spending Bill just got passed. Thanks for the heads-up.

  • detroit19

I will be actively working to kick you out of the Senate in 2016, Senator Graham…what a disappointment you have become to hardworking people nationwide, not just those in SC.

    • Christian Heiens

      He’s up for re-election in 2014, not 2016.

      • bluewaternavy

        His ass should be history

  • Red Fred

Big strong talk, stumbling, faltering walk. Geez. Senator Graham, I fear you have sealed your fate.

  • judy w. miller

Graham is a RINO-So. Carolina get rid of this in next election

  • proudhispanicconservative

Hey Lindsey, you came out of the liberal closet a long time ago, why dont you come out of the gay closet you have been hiding for such a long time, as a matter of fact Lindsey the democrat party would be better suited for you.

  • Fido

The Comrades own two thirds of Washington,

the country should be eternally grateful they do not own the entire place,

as they did between 2009 and 2011.

Nothing would be lost by jettisoning the GOP “lifers” in Congress,

it is time to start over.

  • RblDiver

“If we do not change course in our spending habits, the United States will become Greece.” So…your apparent solution is to keep making things worse? According to you, cutting a $20 trillion debt will be easier than a $16?

Forests need periodic fires to keep them healthy. I was looking forward to the cliff as a chance to try to wean people off the government teat. Craven politicians care about their jobs more than the American people.

  • Mike Johnson

I can’t believe the morons put him back in in 2010. But, then again, our moron class put Obama back in.
