Why is Chrome telling me Twitter and Twitpic are known malware distributers?

Yes, it is annoying. The warning message is preventing users from visiting certain pages.

It’s also showing up on other platforms such as TweetDeck.
I'm getting malware warnings on tweetdeck as well as twitpic, not just the web version but the chrome extension to.—

We've heard from Google and they have removed the block. Access to Twitpic should be restored…—
