Whoops: Scott Brown mistakenly says Obama has fiscal cliff proposal for GOP; Mockery ensues

Outgoing Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown is headed back to DC today to join his colleagues for last-minute fiscal cliff negotiations. President Obama has also cut his own $4 million Hawaiian vacation short to be there for the proceedings. Conservatives aren’t really convinced that Obama’s presence will mitigate the gravity of our financial situation, but this afternoon, Brown posted a message to his Facebook page suggesting that there might be a light at the end of the tunnel:

Just one problem: It wasn’t serious. Because no such proposal was ever put forth. After a mild media frenzy, White House sources revealed the truth:

Brown’s faulty post unleashed a flood of mockery:

No wonder he lost to fauxcahontas.

But there was an email plea from Obamuh begging his supporters to attend his second immaculation and help him save face cuz God forbid he should be embarrassed that only half as many want to attend the inauguration this time and half of America doesn’t give a bleep.

Aww… did Scott Brown shoot himself in da foot?

Brown may not have been wrong as the House is being called into session for Sunday night and there may be something on the table.
