“I am deeply sorry for the actions that resulted in this circumstance,” Crapo said. “I made a mistake for which I apologize to my family, my Idaho constituents and any others who have put their trust in me. Waiting for liberals to squee over this…

    • bluewaternavy

And if they do, we remind them of Ted Kennedy.

    • TocksNedlog

We have to wait? What, were they ALL passed out?

  • Rafael Eduardo Peña-Rios Riber

sorry, but the law is the law.

FYI: if you want to take an important job such as a congressman/woman, please, Please, dont do stupid things like this

  • ember

Hopefully, he’ll take his lumps like a man and not a demorat.

    • bluewaternavy

      Yes, he should.

  • Guest

I am trusting the Senator will bow out gracefully, get his sh1t together and be accountable. Unlike a Democrat, of course.

    • $30158943

You mean just like Larry Craig?

      • michael s

are you aware that was a black cop larry tried to pick up?

  • TugboatPhil

Haven’t read the report, did he leave a submerged car with a woman inside doomed to suffocate?

    • BeeKaaay

Unfortunately no. And since he’s not a Democrat, he will be held fully responsible.

      • bluewaternavy

Spot on…Democrats murder and get away with it..

        • $30158943

          Crazy town is closed.

    • TocksNedlog

No. The Liberal Lion’s record and reputation is intact.

  • BeeKaaay

He was charged with DUI because non-Marxists and their cronies don’t have to follow the law. Everyone else has to.

If this was a Democrat, nothing would ever be done.

    • bluewaternavy

If he was a democrat, we wouldn’t know of it at all.

      • BeeKaaay

Yup. The leftwingwcacko press will bury the story.

    • TocksNedlog

    • $30158943

He not only broke state law but religious law. Stop creating strawmen to excuse that.

      • BeeKaaay

I’m not excusing his actions. I’m railing against how Marxists don’t have to follow the law and are not held responsible.

        Pay attention, will you?

        • $30158943

And who are these alleged Marxists or non-Marxists, whatever that is? Karl Marx died over 100 years ago.

          • BeeKaaay

If you don’t know the answer, the public schools (misspelling intentional) have done a good job (for the leftwingwackos)

          • $30158943

As I suspected you don’t know either. Just up your meds and you will be fine.

          • BeeKaaay

It is you who didn’t know the answer. I am under no obligation to tell you since you were properly brainwashed.

And learn to read, you keep misreading what I say.

As someone that’s lost a loved to a drunk, This royally pisses me off. Still, the media DID give Teddy “Blonde in a pond” Kennedy a pass.

    • $30158943

Explain to me how the media gave him a pass when people are still talking about it more than 40 years later? Here is just a partial list of GOP misdeeds in the last 2 years:

Jan 2011 – Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick and Rep. Pete Sessions skipped their oath of office to improperly host a fundraiser in the U.S. Capitol.

Feb 2011 – Congressional investigators allege Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon received a preferential loan not available to ordinary borrowers.

Mar 2011 – Rep. Scott Tipton may have violated House Ethics rules three times as a freshman Member of Congress.

Apr 2011 – Reports indicate that the FBI may be investigating Rep. Gary Miller for tax evasion.

May 2011 – Rep. Frank Guinta “forgot” to disclose a “mystery” bank account worth as much as $500,000.

June 2011 – Rep. Charlie Bass may have improperly used his office to promote a tax rebate program that would have benefited a family member’s company.

July 2011 – Rep. Stephen Fincher violated campaign finance law.

Aug 2011 – The New York Times took Rep. Darrell Issa to task for using his public office for personal gain.

Sep 2011 – Rep. Joe Walsh may owe more than $100,000 in child support payments to his ex-wife and three children.

Oct 2011 – Rep. David Rivera is under simultaneous state and federal investigations for his involvement promoting slot machines and a contract awarded to a company controlled by his mother.

Nov 2011 – Karl Rove’s protégé, Rep. Tim Griffin, led an effort to suppress African American voter turnout and was intimately involved in the firings of nonpartisan U.S. attorneys for nefarious political reasons.

Dec 2011 – Rep. Pete Sessions may be under a House Ethics Committee investigation for receiving a preferential loan not available to ordinary borrowers.

Jan 2012 – House Republican fundraising chief, Rep. Vern Buchanan, is under multiple ethics investigations for what has been termed an “extensive and ongoing scheme” to reimburse his employees for contributing to Buchanan’s congressional campaign.

Feb 2012 – The FBI is potentially investigating Rep. Michael Grimm for extorting as much as $500,000 worth of campaign contributions from a rabbi and his followers.

Mar 2012 – Rep. Mary Bono Mack and her husband are being investigated for potentially cheating on their taxes.

Apr 2012 – A Florida Republican seeking to unseat Republican Congressman Cliff Stearns claimed that the FBI was investigating Stearns for allegedly attempting to bribe him out of the primary.

May 2012 – Rep. David Rivera remains under IRS and FBI investigation for potential campaign finance violations and tax evasion. Recently, a state criminal investigation found that Rivera likely violated the law, but was spared prosecution because of legal ambiguities and excessively stringent statute of limitation requirements.

June 2012 – The New Republic recently revealed that the FBI is investigating Rep. Jim Renacci’s fundraising operations. The FBI investigation concerns $110,250 in questionable political donations the Ohio Republican received from employees of Suarez Corporation Industries and their spouses.

July 2012 – Rep. Vern Buchanan’s legal and ethics troubles grow as allegations and investigations into his potential misconduct intensify. The FBI, the IRS, the House Ethics Committee and a federal Grand Jury continue to investigate Rep. Buchanan for his alleged role in a scheme to funnel corporate money into his campaign coffers, tax avoidance, and witness tampering.

Aug 2012 – From benefitting from government-contracted laborers’ work on her political campaign to helping her political cronies get cushy jobs and government contracts, Brooks claims to know nothing. But New York voters should be asking Maggie Brooks how, as County Executive, she didn’t know about or couldn’t control her own administration.

Sep 2012 – Many might know Republican congressional candidate Danny Tarkanian for claiming his African American opponent was pretending to be black, or his strategy to appeal to the African American community by highlighting his ties to local basketball programs, but Tarkanian’s career has also been punctuated by fiscal irresponsibility and putting his political interests ahead of his obligations

As someone that’s lost a loved one to a drunk, This royally pisses me off.
Still, the media DID give Teddy “Blonde in a pond” Kennedy a pass.

  • bluewaternavy

Sorry forgot to re-log in :-(

  • LordElrond09

    Resign. Then jail him

    • TocksNedlog

      ‘maybe’, and ‘maybe’.

  • Rightturn

I can write like Twitchy: “But… but… Ted Kennedy and stuff!!!!1!!1!!”

  • Alex Pelton

I live in Crapo’s district, and I voted for him last time. I cannot believe this, the guy is supposed to be mormon, which means no drinking. This is a huuuge disappointment. Look, yes, liberals like Teddy Chappaquidick Kennedy werent held responsible for their actions, but that does not mean that Republicans should be able to skirt the law too. The Republicans should be setting an example of how to take responsibility for your mistakes, because we certainly dont get that from the Democrats. Hopefully Crapo’s replacement should he choose to resign wont be a total moron.

    • TocksNedlog

WHO is suggesting that he should “be able to skirt the law”?

  • John Kerry’s Forehead

Now all he has to do is rape an intern and he’s got 2016 POTUS locked up…if he converts to Dem.

  • TocksNedlog

Well . . . somebody really fell off the wagon on this one.

  • George Patton

What is it with Idaho voters? First the would be public bathroom Lothario and now a drunken Mormon.

    • TugboatPhil

Idaho has nothing on Massachusetts or New York.

  • delroymonjo

I suspect incidents like this happen much more often than one would suspect. I guess it depends on who is reading the police report that day or listening to the scanner ….or maybe looking for an angle to promote an AGENDA!

  • $30158943

Isn’t Crapo a Mormon? Maybe he is following in the very wide footsteps of Larry Craig by moralizing on others behavior while behaving badly.

  • $30158943

I bet he really crapo’ed his pants when he saw those flashing lights in his rear view. And so did Mitch McConnell when he read the headline. Something about the Idaho GOP brings out the best in people.

  • LordElrond09

    He sincerely should resign though.

  • People Corporation

Obvious he isn’t a democrat politician by the fact that he drives his own car.
