Not everyone is filled with Christmas joy

If you aren’t filled with Christmas spirit, you are not alone.

Why so blue, people? Twitchy presents six reasons cited by Twitter users…

1. No  money for presents.

2. Crowded malls.

3. No girlfriend/boyfriend.

4. Sick.

5. Christmas music.

6. Getting older.

And these people are supposed to be “our future”? God help us.

  • MarcoAurelius

What makes it depressing this year is the stormcloud of four more years of the Obama regime.

    • thetreyman

we shall endure. dont let it get you down.

    They have no God.

  • Josephine (D)

    In their defense, I’m tired, stressed, unmotivated, and depressed. I’ve been depressed forever. I’m going to try to find help for me, but I’m afraid it’s going to cost a lot of money. ;-;

Got insurance? There are wonderful treatments available now.. no reason to suffer. Worth any cost.. just find a Dr. that you really like. Best of luck!! You can do it!!

      • Josephine (D)

Thank you; I will ask my folks about our insurance. =)

I hear you. And you are not alone. Don’t give up.

Alone, dead end job, terrible Christmas music, crowded store when I just want to buy some groceries, crazy drivers…Maybe Jack Daniels can cheer me up on Christmas Day.

  • sleazyrider

I’ve discovered that I can as depressed as I choose to be.

  • Conrad2010

A lot of suicides this time of year.
Guess there’s something to be said as in.
Out w/ the old and in w/ the new.

I’m shocked loss of loved ones/other tragic event isn’t on the list

  • Steve_J

    I feel sad for them.

  • almarquardt

The problem is we’ve come to depend in external forces to make us happy, then blame those same forces when they fail.

It’s sad, but only to a point, because it’s also very selfish. Maybe those people should spend more time trying to make a happier holiday for others who have fewer reasons to celebrate rather than crying to the world about their misery.

I want to tell them that in the end, Christmas is what you make it. No one can determine your response to it but you.

  • Joe W.

Not one word about God in those miserable Tweets. I have no money for presents either. And growing old?? Just turned 63. THAT’S old!! Understanding and appreciating the event we are celebrating, and being genuinely grateful for the sacrifice our Lord Jesus made on our behalf….well, I cannot help but feel so joyous as I realize that my sins are removed, my bill is paid, and my ticket to Heaven has been punched. What more of a gift can I ever hope for than the gift of salvation bestowed upon me by Jesus Christ himself. I am a very fortunate man. Merry Christmas fellow Christians…..Praise the Lord!!!

I for one AM filled with Holiday Joy. I have a lovely 7 foot Holiday Tree and I plan to spend Xmas Day working at a soup kitchen helping homeless Muslims.

This has been a great year, what with the re-election of our best president since Hoover and the year has seen some great people rise to the forefront of the democrat movement. Such as the lovely Sandra Fluke.

It has been a great year, and I shall enjoy Xmas day with my holiday tree! Happy Holidays to all my friends at Twitchy! I hope you all get clean coal in your stockings.

I don’t even celebrate Christmas (I’m Jewish), but even I enjoy the season more than these joyless illiterates – is the word “suck” the only descriptor they know?

I actually really like and often love the Christmas music, the special treats that come into the office – ok, that part goes straight to my thighs – the “Secret Santa” exchange, the donation barrel, etc. And even though I’ve never had a Christmas tree I always like seeing them every year, and no, I have never felt “offended” or “threatened” by any Christmas or Christian display. When people say “Happy Holidays” to me, I always say “Merry Christmas” back at them.

So even though I’m a few days early, let me wish all my Twitchy friends, and anyone who’s reading this, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

    • grais

I’m a non-Christian, also, and could not agree with you more!

      Merry Christmas to you!

10 bucks says the ones complaining about “no money” are Obama voters.

  • orringtonmom (D)

haven’t we all been there to one degree or another? and then we learn that christmas isn’t about shopping or spending or getting… then we can enjoy it again. they just need to grow up.
