Fact-challenged Bette Midler: 'NRA only has 60,000 followers'

As of this writing, @NRA has 80,965 Twitter followers and 1.7 million Facebook fans.

Overall, the NRA has nearly 4 million members, according to the group’s website.

Bette Midler only has an I.Q. of 6.

    • WisconsinPatriot

When your I.Q. and your shoe size are the same……not much goin on anymore… Dear Betty, Stick to what you know…..whatever that is.

Can’t find the tweet. Looks like she deleted it.

That is 4 million willingly PAYING members too. How many fans could ANY celebrity get if fans had to pay to be a member?

  • Mike Horve

The entertainment? industry needs to stick with their delusional world and quit showing their ignorance of the real world.

  • Scott

The idiots never let a fact get in their way, just like the msm dont let people with facts actually speak on their shows.

Maybe 60,000 (And I'm being very, very conservative) have joined the ranks of the NRA since last Friday.

More like between four and six million nation wide presently.

Ms. Midler really should go back to singing in New York, Chicago, Seattle and L.A. bath houses. I understand the acoustics do wonders for her annoying, adenoidal voice.

If the president can’t do math, why should she learn how?

It’s the zeros. Libturds have difficulty seeing all those zeros in millions, billions and trillions.

Bette Midler is a liberal assclown. She is irrelevant and has been for years..

  • aegean1

Meaningless statistic. I support the 2nd amendment but I don’t follow the NRA’s twitter feed. I only follow my favorite singer, actor, Mia the Bronx Zoo Cobra, and the electric grid whatever.

  • orringtonmom (D)

well… if followers and polling trends make you relevent, i’m screwed.

  • rennyangel2

The NRA has a memership greater than the ACLU (500,000), NOW (500,000), and AFT (1.5 million), AMA (c. 217,000), and SEIU (1.5 million) combined. The left in general has an aggregate IQ of 77, barely educable.

  • Bill Turner

I am a member of the NRA. If we want to ban guns because of the tragedy last Friday, then we need to ban words for the 6 million Jews who were killed by Hitler.

This fall I had to report for jury duty. The charges involved first and third-degree murder, among other charges. During voir dire, the judge asked those of us in the pool who were members of the NRA or any other pro-2A group to stand. Out of about 110 people, five or six of us stood, including me.

The next question was for anyone in the Brady campaign or any other gun-control group to stand. No one did.

The question after that was for anyone who had firearms at their residence to stand. Easily TWO-THIRDS of us stood in response. The lady next to me (who didn’t stand) whispered, “Oh my God!” in response. I couldn’t help but grin.

(If anyone is wondering, I didn’t get on the jury, but I was way in the back and they never got that far down the list before making their picks)

At least you showed up, in contrast to those who brag about how they always get out of jury duty. Someday any of us could find ourselves in the docket, and woe to him whose jury consists of a bunch of Oprah watchers.

      The voir dire should consist of 1 question;

Do you know any of the principles in the case?

If not, that person should be seated.

    Typical lib hypocrite…..
Whines about NRA membership because of [gasp] GUNS, yet you can bet yer sweet bippy she has someone with GUNS protecting her and hers!

Watch Innocents Betrayed by JPFO. 1968 GCA is an exact copy of 1938 GCA.

  • TocksNedlog

Gotta love the hypocritical logic of “the NRA is irrelevant — AND dangerous.” It’s like when Ahmedwhackjob said “there has NEVER been a Holocaust — but there WILL be.”

    More Hospitals, More Hospital Deaths

Scholarly studies have found that the more hospitals that exist in a country, the more people die in hospitals. This alarming conclusion shows that the United States, with the highest number of hospitals, has the most people die in hospitals. Countries with few hospitals have few die in them, a country fortunate enough to be without hospitals would have no one die in a hospital.

This leads to the inescapable conclusion that we should ban hospitals in order to prevent hospital deaths.

Bette – why can’t you just stick to singing since numbers aren’t your thing.

  • Chrissy the Hyphenated

According to Rasmussen’s November 2012 climate opinion poll, only 41% of Likely Voters believe whatever global warming may be occurring is due to human activity … which is the essence of their entire argument for taxing carbon emissions etc.

That would put the number of “a few anti-science zealots” in the range of … oh say … 54 Million American Adults … give or take.
