We are not against guns for hunting we are talking about semi automatic weapons. #BanAssaultWeapons

Could we have just one day — just one — without astounding ignorance muddying the “national conversation” about guns? The answer, of course, is “no.”
Rev. Jesse Jackson insists gun-grabbers aren’t coming for hunting guns, just “semi automatic weapons.” Really? There’s not any overlap there, genius?
"You don't need a semi-automatic for hunting." Please. Come down here & get chased by wild hogs. Now, tell me you don't need it.—

@PUGSUnited that's so dumb, criminals would still get them. I use a semi automatic weapon to hunt hogs, I'm not killing kids—

Hope to hunt in Alaska some day [bucket list]. If a bigass blk bear came after me, I'd like a semi-auto assault rifle for protection. #p2—

Before you demand banning ALL 'semi-automatic weapons' it really helps if you knew what they were. Hand guns & Hunting Rifles are SA too.—

@pettyready I bird hunt with SEMI-auto guns. 3 shells require 3 trigger pulls.—

@ReillyRick I also hunt waterfowl with a semi-auto shotgun and I AM NOT willing to give it up. Not happening.—

Semi-automatic weapons also come in pretty handy for self-defense, not that that makes any difference to anti-gun zealots. Now the Second Amendment is all about hunting?
RIP, honest debate.
