Obama should say, "walk away from me + I will hurt you." Play hardball and WH won't get rolled by anyone again. #nocompromise

With the House tonight scrapping an expected vote on Speaker John Boehner’s “Plan B” to deal with the fiscal cliff, Boehner finds himself embarrassed at best, and possibly in danger of losing his leadership position. President Obama’s supporters are emboldened by the spectacular collapse of Plan B, some to a disturbing degree.
Progressive talker David Shuster, for example, says that now is the time for “no compromise” from the White House.
Now that Boehner plan B has blown up, time for Obama to punish him for walking away this week + yank SS cuts offered earlier. #nocompromise—

@DavidShuster How is that going to help. Still needs to pass the house. Are Democrats willing to support?—

.@Bobby_Morrison The President MUST make Boehner pay a price for this non-sense. That will gain dem votes and teach all a valuable lesson.—

Tonight’s vote was pulled after Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor failed to cobble together enough support to go ahead with a vote. With friends like that, Boehner had better toughen up if he hopes to take on opponents like these. The New Republic’s Noam Scheiber is right about pain, but we’re afraid we’re all going to feel it soon enough.
Argument for going over cliff has always been: u cant negotiate w/Boehner. Have to negotiate w/his caucus. And they only understand pain.—

Just switched over to Hannity. Did no one tell him there's a smoldering pile of ash where House GOP used to be?—
