i understand. I had my very own issue with "die young" for this reason. I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO.—

The pop singer’s Top 40 hit “Die Young” was yanked from radio airwaves yesterday in response to the Newtown, Conn., school massacre. She took to Twitter earlier to express her sadness:
my heart goes out deeply to the people of Newtown, Connecticut—

She also urged her fans to contribute to a Newtown-related charity:
Its beyond words what has happened. Help families affected by the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary by donating here: indiegogo.com/OneRepublicFor…—

We’re not sure what she means when she claims that she was “forced to” sing the song, on which she is listed as a co-writer. Maybe that’s her excuse for this verse:
Young hunks, taking shotsStripping down to dirty socksMusic up, gettin’ hotKiss me, give me all you’ve gotIt’s pretty obvious that you’ve got a crushThat magic in your pants, it’s making me blush
@keshasuxx you didnt want to sing those lyrics at all? or just recently?—

In any case, there’s considerable debate about whether it should have been pulled. What do you think?
@keshasuxx how is your song inappropriate? It's about living life to the fullest, not about dying!

@keshasuxx In reality its not your fault tho! How we’re you suppose to know? At least you’ve said your peace & hopefully they can respect it—

I don't think anyone sees that song as similar to shooting children. RT @keshasuxx so sorry for any1 who has been effected by this tragedy..—

Why take @keshasuxx's Die Young off the air but not Pumped Up Kicks which was actually about mass shooting?—
