Veteran war reporter Richard Engel and his crew were freed by captors in Syria Monday after being held for five days. The NBC News chief foreign correspondent and his team are reportedly “safely out of the country” and the network says its employees were unharmed by the kidnappers.
"We are pleased to report they are safely out of the country," the NBC News president Steve Capus says in a statement.—
