New tone? Gov. Snyder's Wikipedia page vandalized after right-to-work bills signed into law

Vandalism of conservatives’ Wikipedia pages is nothing new. After Mia Love brought down the house with her GOP convention speech, her Wikipedia entry was defaced by gutter-trolls who called her a “house n*gger” and “dirty, worthless whore.”

Yesterday Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder signed right-to-work legislation into law just after Democrat promises of bloodshed came to fruition. He immediately faced assassination threats, including a pledge to kill his wife and children.

As always, the Left is delivering the one-two punch of classy and civil, and the “new tone” extended to hijacking Snyder’s Wikipedia page.

The revision captured in the screen shot above is no longer live, but it’s preserved in the page’s revision history.

I’m sick of crybabies and whiners. Problems with America: the Left, Libs, Feminists, Whitehouse, MSNBC and company, unions, race baiters, Hollywood, easily offended pansies, and people who think they deserve something when they contribute nothing.

Pretty sure you covered my list too, so thanks.

Who takes Wikiedia seriously to begin with?

    • Purple State

      Twitchy apparently.

  • Purple State

If one person editing a Wikipedia page represents all of the Left, then I guess Westboro Baptist represents all of the Right.

    • Hello Jerry (D)

Go back to your unionista whine-fest.

Funny you should mention that. Did you get this idea from ABC News?

This story from yesterday’s Fox News Website:

“Apparently, ABC News can’t tell the difference between opponents of gay marriage and hateful, anti-American bigots. As “World News” reporter Terry Moran highlighted the Supreme Court’s decision Friday to consider the legality of same-sex marriage, video of Westboro Baptist Church picketers appeared on screen to visually represent “opponents.”
Members of the small and extreme Westboro Baptist Church have disrupted the funerals of American military personal who were killed defending this country. According to Westboro Pastor Fred Phelps, U.S. soldiers are dying because of America’s support for homosexuality. On June 13, 2005, the AP quoted him as saying, “Our attitude toward what’s happening with the war is the Lord is punishing this evil nation for abandoning all moral imperatives that are worth a dime.”
Yet, Moran announced, “For opponents of gay marriage, the very fabric of our society is at stake.” During this voiceover, video showed Westboro protesters with signs reading “God hates America.” (Other signs that the group is known for include “God hates fags” and “Pray for more dead soldiers.”) After that footage rolled, Moran’s piece immediately cut to a Family Research Council (FRC) representative.”

The Westboro Baptist Church has NOTHING to do with Republicans, Conservatives, Tea Partiers or any combination of the three, but you would never know it by the ABC report.

But you fell for it. See how they manipulate you? Wonder what else they’ve lied to you about?

      • Purple State

I didn’t fall for anything. My point was the idea that the extreme views of Westboro are exemplary of all conservatives is just as ridiculous as one person changing a Wikipedia entry being exemplary of all liberals.

    • Grandma HeadInjury

Number of Michigan union workers: 617,000 (BLS) out of 60,162,400 liberals in the US (Gallup/2010 Census).

Though Mark Potok at the Southern Poverty Law Center said “Westboro Baptist Church is an organization that essentially has no friends whatsoever on the far right, the far left or anyplace in between,” we’ll go ahead and play your little game. Number of Westboro Baptist Church members: 40 out of 131,880,000 (Gallup/2010 Census again) conservatives in the US.

Based on statistical percentages, a liberal is over 33,500 times likely to be a represented by these union thugs than a conservative would be represented by the Phelps family.

      • Purple State

Not all 617,000 union members changed the Wikipedia entry for the governor, so your equation is based on a misunderstanding of my argument. The point is, the behavior of one extreme voice doesn’t represent the behavior of all the people who subscribe to that ideology — that goes for all ideologies: liberal, conservative, etc.

    • Finrod Felagund

All the Westboro bozos are DEMOCRATS, genius.

    • CherDash

      Fred Phelps is a Democrat.

      • Purple State

His views are at the extreme end of the conservative spectrum — that’s the point.
