Special Snowfluke: Now Sandra Fluke feels entitled to tweet where not allowed

Sandra Fluke hung up her perpetual student shoes and was sworn in to the California bar today. She gleefully tweeted about it, and giddily claimed she was breaking a no tweeting rule. See, Sandra Fluke is entitled to everything she wants, everywhere. Special Snowfluke Sandra! Of course, some hurl-worthy squeeing occurred.

Oh, honey. That’s just sad.

Rules? Those with humongous senses of entitlement don’t need no stinkin’ rules!

Twitter users who don’t live in participation ribbon world weigh in.

Holding her to the same rules is totally sexist. Or something.

On the plus side, perhaps more than a handful of people showed up for this”intimate gathering.” So, there’s that, Sandra!

  • Streetiebird

I’m so glad the Cons couldn’t silence her! They don’t understand her message, but the rest of us do 😀

    • Steve_J

We don’t want to silence her any more than we want to silence Biden.

    • Dan Thorpe

What message would that be? Would it be she’s too helpless to pay for her own birth control and she thought the government had to pay for it? Would it be that she is above the law which she swore to protect this morning? hmmmm you don’t understand LOL

      • Streetiebird

You’re proving my point! She never asked for birth control for herself. She never asked the government to foot the bill.

        • Dan Thorpe

In February 2012, she came to attention in the United States when Republicans refused to allow her to testify to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on the importance of requiring insurance plans to cover birth control during a discussion on whether insurance should have a contraception mandate. Weather it was for her or other women its still a petty issue. If you can’t take personal responsibility then it should not fall on someone else

          • Streetiebird

            Well googled.

So you’re anti-insurance? Personal responsibility and all that. I assume you turned down any insurance your work offered you, right?

          • Dan Thorpe

well….. considering I work in the Financial services field where one of the products I sell is Life Insurance, no I am not anti-insurance. I just don’t believe that contraception should be a mandate that providers are required to pay for. Also since I by definition am a “small business owner” as I am an independent contractor in my company(like all Life Insurance companies do it) I have never been offered any Health insurance.

          • Streetiebird

You’d rather cover an expensive unintended pregnancy than cover cheap birth control? It never adds up to me… You’re free to your opinion, I’m just glad it’s based on understanding what she was saying, unlike so many others who just heard it all from the mouth of the Limbaugh.

          • Dan Thorpe

no… I would rather people by their own contraceptives, condoms are not expensive and even at the most expensive birth control pills are $50. If you cannot afford either option then don’t have sex.

Without Obamacare it probably would have been higher still!

          • $36544368

Really? It’s gone DOWN every year for the past 5 years….smh.

          • http://www.facebook.com/lisa.dean.564 Lisa Dean

Actually it probably wouldn’t have been. Also, everyone’s FSA (for those who have one) would have stayd at $5k being taken out of their checks pretax. Now it’s down to $2,500 thanks to Obamacare.

          • Shawn Smith

Say, did ya hear about the new $63 tax being added to everyone’s health insurance? It was buried in that 2,000 page bill that no Democrats bothered reading before they passed it because Obama is so perfect he couldn’t make a mistake.

But I’m sure that’s the only hidden cost in there. It would be unfair to suspect that there might be dozens more just like it, wouldn’t it?

        • $36544368

No, but the government is footing the bill…actually, WE are footing the bill by an increase in our medical premiums, and a surtax of $63 starting next year (that’s supposed to go down each year, but I doubt that will happen).

          http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/12/10/new-insurance-fee-in-health-overhaul-law-likely-to-hit-consumers/

        • SineWaveII

No she asked the government to force her employer (a catholic university) to pay for her birth control and lied about how much it cost. Oohh big difference.

          • Streetiebird

Incorrect, she never asked for her own birth control.

          • SineWaveII

Hair splitting. She was speaking as a representative of the female students of Georgetown Law School. And she was a female student of Georgetown Law School, therefore she was included in the group even if she never said me/my/mine. It’s an old liberal trick designed to fool people with low IQs (ahem ^^^) who are too stupid to see through it.

          • Streetiebird

        • http://pennyrobinsonfanclub.net/ PennyRobinsonFanClub

Please, enlighten us then. What is her profound message for us all?
          ;- }

          • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHY_xOj2M_g PistolsForPandas

Her message: I WANT MY FREE SHIT AND I WANT MY FREE SHIT NOW!!

          • SineWaveII

That women are special little creatures who should never be expected to pay for anything themselves ever no matter what.

        • Shawn Smith

What exactly is her message? All I’ve heard from her is that the government (read, other people) should pay for her sex life.

Abortion & homosexuality: The government has no right to interfere in my sexual choices.

Birth control mandate: The government has to make sure other people pay for my sexual choices.

But if we’re so stupid, please enlighten us as to her message.

          • Streetiebird

Simple, she wants insurance to pay for contraception, the providers can even save a load of cash along the way.

And since you bring up homosexuality, you know your party wants to restrict it right? Doesn’t that interfere with someone else’s sexual choices?

          • Shawn Smith

Since you apparently missed it, I was pointing out hypocrisy. “The government has no business what goes on in my bedroom” doesn’t mesh very well with, “The government should subsidize what goes on in my bedroom.”

            Capice?

          • Shawn Smith

What about an employer’s right to their conscience? If the employer has a moral objection to abortifacients, why is the government overruling their first amendment rights by nullifying their conscience?

Gee, it would be nice if we got to choose for ourselves. What’s that called? Oh yeah, freedom. Freedom’s pretty nice, isn’t it?

          • Streetiebird

So if my religion caused me to have a moral objection to people using *ANY* drugs to treat health problems then I should be exempt from providing them? Awesome idea for a loophole!

          • $36544368

Ah…that old tired argument…why don’t we all just give up our freedom to make choices and have our own values, and follow what you tell us to do, Bird. That’s what this country is coming to…anyone who disagrees with liberal thinking is wrong and stupid, uninformed, backward, etc…but that’s okay…I’d rather be strong in my own values and choices and convictions and take the heat for it than succumb to robotic thinking.

          • Shawn Smith

Frankly, I’m not sure why any employer should be *required* to provide health insurance at all. If they want to use that to attract employees, fine. If they don’t, I think it’s their right.

Are you aware of how we got the screwed-up insurance system we have now? It’s largely the product of government bureaucrats who didn’t realize the full import of what they were doing. But who are we going to have fix that? More blissfully unaware bureaucrats! That’s sure to work!

          • SpinMeNot

No, “You” (Streetie) should not have to provide them in the situation you describe. However such an individual should not be forced by the government to pay for a service / product that they will not use. If I am an Amish business owner, making say, the any of the fine products on https://www.lehmans.com/, why should I be forced to provide health insurance that contradicts my religious beliefs, when everyone that works for me shares those beliefs.

            Idiot.

          • Streetiebird

            Didn’t read.

            Idiot.

          • http://www.facebook.com/lisa.dean.564 Lisa Dean

Oh good Lord! Here we go again. Insurance does pay for contraception if there’s a medical need ie PMDD etc. Also, with a prescription she can go to Walmart or Target and get a 90 day supply for $12. I’m sure she can give up $12 for 90 days on her own. That’s two friggin’ lattes. How do we want to restrict homosexuality, there are plenty of states who’ve put it up for vote and the citizens of that state have voted it down.

          • $36544368

Our party doesn’t agree that pedophiles should marry their victims, or that brothers should marry sisters, fathers marry daughters, etc., either…doesn’t ‘that’ interfere with someone else’s sexual choices? (Waiting for Michael Hampton to attack me on that one).

          • Streetiebird

Typical tactic. You hate the idea of gay marriage intruding on your life so you pretend someone is out there advocating pedophile marriage or incest. Classy.

          • $36544368

Let me use your phrasing….you hate the idea of conservatives (and what they stand for) intruding on your life. And for your information, there are disgusting websites that advocate that kind of marriage/relationship. Oh, and thanks…that’s the second time today someone has called me ‘classy’!

          • SpinMeNot

But she is more than happy with her ideas intruding on our lives and offending us.

Have I officially upgraded Streetie to “Outrage Monkey” status yet? If not, she is now.

          • $36544368

“Outrage Monkey”…I’ve not heard of that before…I like the visual that goes with that 😉 What’s the next upgrade level name, and how many more ridiculous posts do we have to read of hers before she gets there?

Insurance will pay for contraception. Mine does, if you insure your wife as being capable of having children (based on personal health/age).

Now we all have to pay for it, whether we need it or not.

Please tell me how more than 50% of the population of this country being against equating same-sex marriage to marriage between one man and one woman is an attempt to restrict homosexuality.

She’s 30-something and she’s just now graduating from law school? In my book that means she’s dumber than dirt.

    • Michelle

I am in NO WAY defending this nitwit, but wanted to point out graduating law school in your 30’s doesn’t make you dumb. Some folks choose law school after trying out something else. I have two friends who chose careers are paralegals, but later (in their early 30’s) decided they wanted to be lawyers – so they went to school and became lawyers…in their 30’s. They are not stupid people, they simply chose to become lawyers a tad later in life.

      • moonsbreath

I based my comment on the fact that she’s been called a “perpetual student.” Darn, my (funny to me) comment loses its meaning when you have to explain it.

Try defending someone who deserves it! She’s been in law school for about 8 years now.

        • Michelle

Mmm yeah 1CatEye, try reading again my first sentence. You’ll find the point of my comment wasn’t to defend her.

Do you read English, Ken? She’s not a nitwit for graduating from law school at her age…she’s a nitwit because of her wacky political views.

          • Michelle

I did call her a nitwit, but I fail to see where I said she might not be dumb. What I DID say was that just because a person graduates law school in their 30’s, that doesn’t mean they’re dumb…in many cases (such as I used as an example) it could mean they decided on law school in their 30’s. My point had absolutely nothing to do with Fluke, and everything to do with the fact not everyone who graduates school in their 30’s is dumb. Let me know if you need further edification. LOL indeed.

Can’t wait to see the first thing she gets disbarred for.

    • Basset_Hound

But wait. She’s in California. She could probably make a lot of money getting a guilty serial killer off on some kind of insanity defense.

I cannot imagine how this moron ever passed a bar exam. And nice respect for your profession, breaking the rules on your first day. She could be brought up on disciplinary charges before she gets her nice little bar Certification she could hang on the wall (of her jail cell, hopefully).

In reply to moron “Polly Techno” above: The correct quote is “records are made to be broken”. Rules are made to be obeyed sweetie, that’s why they’re “rules”.

  • BeeKaaay

Gee, and no judge will enforce that no-tweeting rule against her.
