Lunch Summit? Romney, Obama to do lunch at White House tomorrow

Heh. Twitter is buzzing with the news that Mitt Romney and President Obama will “do lunch” tomorrow at the White House.

There is to be no press coverage, apparently. Transparency!

And Twitter users start weighing in with their trademark snark.

More please, Twitter!

Update: And Twitter delivers.

  • Elaine

Obama knows Romney had a great plan and he now wants to pick his brain. I bet he offers him a position in his administration. Romney better decline. If he tries to help BO, he will end up the FALL guy. Don’t do it and don’t EAT anything. 😉

    • SJ’s Dad

      You’re definitely onto something!
Since BO has no ideas of his own, he’ll USE Romney’s! . . . w/2possible outcomes:
      1. Success = BO Plagiarization
      2. Failure = More BO Blame gaming; ie Romney = Fall-Guy!
      DON’T DO IT MITT, IT’s A TRAP!!!!!

    • Todd Hill

I tend to agree with this. Romney going there sets him up as a scapegoat for the next four years. Blaming Bush is becoming passe’, so now Obama could instead say, “Well, this economic crisis was brought on by advice I received from Mitt Romney and it may take more than four years to fix it.”

    • Penmar

You mean like Secretary of Business maybe? What a hoot that would be.

    • George Washington Mclintock

I don’t think we would be so lucky as to have Barry the Buffon want to pick Romney’s brain on the economy. But I hope you’re right and, despite what the media says, Obama and the Dems realize that the voting results mean no popular mandate.

  • Rafael Eduardo Peña-Rios Riber

dont waste your time mitt, he will only hear things he doesnt like so he’ll just turn on the mute function

  • Marcy Cook

Mitt better bring a taste tester with him……

  • driveswift

Why would the loser want to meet with the winner? To share the ideas that the American people resoundingly rejected?

    • HappyHarriett

      Resoundingly? HARDLY!

    • Angie (D)

I’m not surprised that people who must like cheap money & no jobs and who think $16 trillion in debt is nothing to worry about think a 50.66% win is “resounding.”

      • Daisy76

No, they just can’t do the math.

    • Daisy76

Oh, you mean the illiterate majority.

  • nc

Seeing as BHO doesn’t appear to have a gracious bone in his body, Mitt better be prepared for “Rub-It-In Chicken” and “Eat-Your-Peas” with a generous slice of “Get-Humble Pie” for dessert. Pass the Tums. Burp.

  • Joseph Phillips

Weird. After turkey sammiches and grape juice maybe they’ll take turns taking Barry’s bike off some sweet ramps and stuff.

  • digitalPimple

Lost any respect I had for #Romney. Sorry.

    • Angie (D)

You’re being played by an obvious PR stunt for Obama that was a no-win situation for Romney? Seriously, do you think if Romney had *declined* the invite, the Obama administration wouldn’t have “leaked” that to the press to show what a sore loser Romney was & how the right isn’t interested in “compromise.” Seriously, do you think Romney *wants* to have lunch with the SCoaMF who ran on an agenda of “Romney gave Joe Soptic’s wife cancer?” No — he’s sucking it up for the good of the country & the GOP. Anyone on the right who can’t recognize that just proves Romney was a better candidate than we deserved.

      • digitalPimple

Like I said I lost all respect for Romney. I see why his campaign lost.

There is no benefit in doing this at all. Really need to wise up. The legislators on hill just encourage Obama and his agenda they end up doing much more damage. GOP just sucks.

        • Angie (D)

I didn’t say there was a benefit — I said there was a BIGGER downside to decline the invitation. You want to pretend there isn’t. Keep your head in the sand & the MSM and the Dems will keep playing the right like a fiddle creating division among the ranks.

          • digitalPimple

No matter what anyone does… they will get slammed: Thus pointless. A phone call would have done don’t you think? Making a show of it provides nothing of benefit and will be used against any opposition to Obama.

You will see in the coming months.

  • sb36695

Now it will be Romney’s fault! What a fool.

    • Vennoye

NOW??? Have you forgotten that Hostess going bankrupt was Romney’s fault according to AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka!!

      • sb36695

I guess they found a new fall guy already! Democrats called Romney a felon and accused him of causing a woman to die of cancer. I wouldn’t be in the same room with them!

        • Vennoye

Yep! That is why I want them to own the economy for the next four years! Ask and you shall receive! Don’t want Romney to be sucked into their future.

  • MACH Tink

Who will pay for lunch? It would not be the first time that O had someone to lunch and made them pay?

    • JustLikeAnimals

Mitt will get a bill for $16,000,000,000,000 + 15% gratuity to pay for Obama-scare!!!

  • Lisa Dean

“Hey Mitt, can I borrow your notes from Economics 101, Business Management 101, Accounting 101 and Statistics 101”.

  • digitalPimple

Any wonder why Romney and his campaign lost? Read this and now you know. Romney and GOP playing right into WH hands yet again.

How utterly stupid can you be. Morons.

  • Booker

Please do not join this administration. That’s what Obama does. he tears his opponents to pieces then he invites them to join his administration so that he can neutralize them. I do recall a Clinton.

  • coreopsis has set in

    [sigh] Leftovers for lunch again?

On the menu: Humble Pie followed by sour grapes!

Love how our President Obama is not intimidated and reaches out to those who we don’t expect, but may help him accomplish what voters want. He is committed to doing as he promised and uses wisdom. Takes a great man to reach out to formidable opponent for the sake of the people.

Obama will do the dining annd Romney will do the whining!

    • Lisa Dean

Why does he need Romney’s help to accomplish what voters want? He’s the one who has a plan for the next four years right? His whole campaign was built on “Give me another four years and I won’t let you down”. Not “Give me another four years so that I can ask my opponent for help and then I won’t let you down”. It takes a greater man to meet with someone who did nothing but lie during his whole campaign and who doesn’t have a clue.

We’ve been waiting for the real Mitt to stand up, but it
turns out he was too busy bending over to the lunatic right wing base..

He had “some” good ideas, which I liked and considered voting for. He was a honorable man before moving further and further to the right…

Obama is a kind and considerate guy, I just hope that President Obama serves Romney a large plate of fresh, piping hot crow.

        • Lisa Dean

But Obama has/had all the answers right? Aren’t his ideas of moving “forward” going to make us even better than we are today? Why are you waiting for the “real Mitt” to stand up? Isn’t the election over? And yet you claim we’re bitter.

        • Vennoye

Really think the 44th’s advisors see this as something that appears to unite the country, which is nearly a 50%-50% split right now. They are wrong… usual. Hope the reports leaked afterward say that the meeting was cordial, so the advisors can be happy.

HOWEVER; you lefties elected this Sword of Damocles, twice. You own accountability for the next four years. Don’t think conservates are in the business of trying to save people from themselves any longer! ENJOY!! Perhaps things will change…………..

  • Ben

The golf course must be closed tomorrow for maintenance.

  • JRu4Life

If this really is happening here are suggestions for Mitt:

    1. Don’t bend over.

    2. Wear a bulletproof vest.

    3. Ask O how he managed to pull off such massive voter fraud.

    4. Ask O how he sleeps at night.

No matter what Mitt says or does the media will try to make him look bad so this really will be a huge waste of time if it happens.

    • walterc

      Bring a Jello salad.

      • Lisa Dean

May I suggest Watergate salad? Oh, the irony

    • JustLikeAnimals

      Snicker-doodles!!!!! (snik-snik)

    • michael s

Stop with voter fraud. The only problem with voting was the attempted voter suppression REPUBLICAN Jim Greer admitted to doing. That Charlie Crist admitted to being approached about.

      • Penmar

You are so full of it, we did this the other day, Greer is under investigation for other stuff and then comes out with the voter suppression stuff. And Crist is a freakin dem, if walks like a duck and talks like a duck….However the video of the son of Rep Moran is quite clear cut along with the other video of the dems telling people how to commit voter fraud.

        • michael s

If Rep Moran’s son is guilty prosecute him ,i have no issue . Have someone present the evidence of the voter fraud you speak of to the proper authorities or a special independent prosecutor. Crist is the Mike Bloomberg of Florida. He switches sides like Lindsay Lohan.

          • Penmar
          • michael s

Again let the authorities prosecute him. Being this is a James O’Keefe video it should be deemed suspect.

          • Penmar

What an excellent answer, I guess seeing the man agree to commit voter fraud in the video is edited to make it look like he did that, but when in reality he just didn’t ever say or do those things….they used a lookalike? As for the authorities prosecute, I am so sure Eric Holder will get right on it, just like he did with the Black Panthers problem from 2008. If that were a republican in the videos that James O’Keefe outed, you would be screaming to high heaven for justice and all other kinds of crap…I just figured out what is the one thing that makes me despise libs, it’s their hypocrisy. It’s always different when THEY do it.

          • michael s

Again let the authorities prosecute him. Being this is a James O’Keefe video it should be deemed suspect.

      • Vennoye

Do you not realize that Crist is joining the Democrats….the first criteria for being a Democrat is being able to constantly lie.

      • Moue La Moue (D)

There are counties where I live in CO that boasted a turn out of 114% who voted for BO. Maybe math is just that hard?

      • SpinMeNot

Didn’t I go through this with you … oh wait, no that was another liberal progressive puke.

        (1) The murals in the polling location
        (2) The posters in the polling location
        (3) The accredited Republican poll watcher being threatened with a gun and badge, and told to leave the polling location.
        (4) The poll watchers in Philly being chased out …
        (5) The Obamazombie punching one of the few law abiding Democrats left in this country for complaining about the Zombie campaigning in the polling area.
        (6) The Poll Workers wearing Obama shirts, hats, etc
        (7) The ballots found in the warehouse in Florida
        (8) The Democratic Congressional Candidate’s son/campaign manager caught on tape discussing how to vote twice.
        (9) The democrat poll worker that tried to convince a candidate on the ballot that she had to fill in the entirety of the democrat column to get the machine to count the vote.
        (10) The Obama campaign worker caught on tape discussing how you can actually vote in multiple states … and what you need to do to do so.
        (11) The liberal trash on twitter claiming to have voted multiple times.
        (12) The statistical improbability of not a single vote for Mitt Romney in several large areas of democrat controlled cities. Not a single vote …

The list goes on … no voter fraud there … nothing between your ears that your handlers didn’t put there during indoctrination. If you want that treat, you better get back to humping that coconut.

    • SpinMeNot

      Bring a food taster …

  • JustLikeAnimals

He wants to make Mitt the Secretary of his new “Department of Business”. Mitt should run from this sham as fast as he can. Obama needs someone to blame the next four years of economic collapse on, and he’s got his tentacles set on Romney. Bring him in and if it works, Obama takes the credit. And if it doesn’t, it’s Mitt Romney’s fault.

  • Burt Zerker

0bama invites Romney to lunch,..and 0bama being the consummate democrap pulls a dine and dash, and Mitt gets stuck picking up the tab.

    Don’t do it Mitt!

It shows that Mr. Obama is a man of his word. Thank GOD this will be as close as Mitt gets to the Oval Office

    • Karl H

Man? Of his word? President Stompy foot sure kept his word, transparency with the healthcare negotiations? Posting the bill online so people could read it before he signed it? Employment? Laser like focus on Golf er uh I mean Jobs? Benghazi? You can tell Obama is lying because he is awake. Even when he says nothing he is usually just lying by omission.

As for the man part.. Are you talking about President stompy foot? The only time he is close to “man like” is when Moochele makes him wear regular underwear instead of hers or the superman underoos. He is a liberal eunuch like most liberal males. Is there a single tin hat dictator that does not have Obamas lip prints on their backside? I sure as hell cant think of one. Putin? yup Obama kissed his a$$, Chaves yup Obama kissed his a$$, Kim Jong ill, right up to his death Obama had his lips firmly on his rectum. Auquavelvajad yup Obama not only kissed his a$$ but he is still tossing his salad.

Awww poor baby still crying over the elections…It will be ok lil fella…

        • Angie (D)

          You’re the one trolling, asshat.
Seems you’re the one that is finally realizing how f’d you are.

        • Karl H

No just pointing out that the child president has yet to grow up and has yet to keep his word. He is the perfect representation for America as it stands today. There is no doubt he should be the President of the “not my fault” “Someone else needs to clean up this mess” “welfare entitlement” cry baby nation. For that he is the perfect representative.

When the nation gets over the pity party and stops expecting to have someone rescue them then it will be time for a true leader. Frankly I am glad he won election because I do not think the nation has suffered enough to learn the lesson that liberalism is a mental disorder. The nation needs a painful disastrous lesson that only Obama and the extreme left can deliver in order for the nation to rid itself of the disease of leftists.

Think of it like chemo-therapy, introduce enough poison to reveal and kill the disease but not enough to kill the host. America has a terminal cancer called liberalism and if it is allowed to spread rapidly enough people will see how destructive it really is.

I know it is a dangerous game of chicken and the PIGS (Portugal Italy Greece and Spain) were not enough of a lesson so now we need some of that insanity right in our own homes in order to teach the lesson.

Hell Obama does not even hide his disconnect from the people he dines on lobster while the rest eat PB&J. It is the third world sh*t holes he grew up in. It is just like mommy always dreamed it could be. And god knows he is a momas boy.

This is it folks, next stop liberal dystopia, sorry if you did not prepare. Not sorry if you actually voted for it.

    • elijahzabmom

Freaking idiot. What has Obama done in the past four years to prove he has ANY idea what he is doing? What is he doing to LEAD in the fiscal cliff talks? He spent the whole campaign telling America that Romney’s ideas were wrong, don’t pick he brain now.

Maybe if the President blew a surplus, invaded the wrong country and let bin Laden get away conservatives would give him more credit…

        • Karl H

Surplus? You are aware that the President (Clinton) depleted the US military to the point where they had little spare parts for equipment, many had little to no training for years, the cruise missile supply was totally depleted and strategic oil reserves were depleted.

So if by coming home to a car out of gas all the groceries eaten and the lawn filled with weeds due to lack of maintenance then yes he had a surplus. The only problem was all the surplus was a numbers game.

Oh wait I forgot you are a liberal eunuch and math is very hard for you.

        • YeahWeWill

The sum total of your “knowledge” of issues? You are intellectually lazy dude!

        • Penmar

There was no surplus, pay attention, there is math involved and I know how hard math is for you libs.

The claim is generally made that Clinton had a surplus of $69 billion in FY1998, $123 billion in FY1999 and $230 billion in FY2000 . Clinton claimed that the national debt had been reduced by $360 billion in the last three years, presumably FY1998, FY1999, and FY2000–though, interestingly, $360 billion is not the sum of the alleged surpluses of the three years in question ($69B + $123B + $230B = $422B, not $360B). Clinton’s record of having generated a surplus never happened. There was never a surplus and the facts support that position. In fact, far from a $360 billion reduction in the national debt in FY1998-FY2000, there was an increase of $281 billion. The deficit was almost eliminated in FY2000 (ending in September 2000 with a deficit of “only” $17.9 billion), but it never reached zero–let alone a positive surplus number. And Clinton’s last budget proposal for FY2001, which ended in September 2001, generated a $133.29 billion deficit.

          • Lisa Dean

Math is extremely hard for @GEORGE_W_TUSH:disqus

  • Karl H

We can hope that Obama woke up and has realized just how stupid he really is. With luck obama will be taking an Econ101 class at a local community college and he is trying to hire Romney to tutor him since math is so very hard for liberals.

  • riddler1620

Why would one want to have lunch with a man whose campaign accused him of murdering a mans wife. Of accused him of being a tax cheat.

  • patriot fan

Honestly if it helps fix the country I am all on board. Sometimes you have to put the party aside and think of the country. We all know Mitt had the best ideas for fiscal problems. If Obama takes Mitt’s ideas why not? We all sink or we all swim…..I like it. I pray that Obama is serious. Hey he did quitely sign that anti-carbon tax thing. Maybe he doesn’t have to bend to the left anynmore…hey wishful thinking I know…but it is better than thinking of communism in America.

    • Armando

Romney has some good ideas, and if they are implemented by Obama, it’s going to be better for all of us.

      • Angie (D)

No, Obama won — let him implement his own ideas.
Oh, that’s right — his entire agenda was Romney was a vampire, murderer, tax cheat & felon, so Obama *has* no ideas to fix this country and 50.66% of the illiterate electorate fell for it.

        • EEKman

LOL Obama didnt need to do that. That was the Republican primary. You guys did it to yourselves.

  • TocksNedlog

Note to the White House chef: NO Seamus-on-a-shingle.

  • TocksNedlog

In deference to the LDS Church, no alcohol will be served tomorrow — plus, Barack will wear his “magic mom jeans”!

    • TugboatPhil

And in deference to Obama’s “church,” the dinner prayer will begin with a d*mning of God.

  • c0mm0nsense2011

It’s rumored that Obama has been working on his “Death Stare” and is now confident of it’s true potency. One look and Mitt will be calling BO his “Lord and Savior” ala Jamie Foxx.

    • Karl H

That is not a death stare, it looks more like gas bubbles. Someone should burp and change him.

Sad but my 5 year old daughter had a tougher look than President soggy bottom. She can stop a charging dog and have him tuck his tail. Though I suppose if the dog knows Obamas dietary preferences the dog will run.

When will Obama stop giving people without jobs handouts

    • JustLikeAnimals

Ha! He’ll likely have lunch with Mitt then give him a bill for $16,000,000,000,000.

      • Karl H

If he can remember what the debt is he will, but that is highly unlikely, more like $400.00 I think that is the number of strokes from his last 9 hole game. 400 being the official number of strokes not the corrected number the BLS gave Obama of 9

    • TugboatPhil

Obama can stop any time now. He already got the deadbeat vote.

  • JustLikeAnimals

Barack Hussien is going to force Joe Biden to resign and then nominate Mitt Romney as the Vice-President.

    • michael s

      Thats what Reggie Jackson wants.

  • jerri wolf

What’s on the menu? Balony on White Bread?

  • $8203344

I wouldn’t ifI was Mitt, he did the same thing with McCain and then nothing came of it at all.

  • SheilaK

I wouldn’t give that chicago thug in the white house the time of day.

  • Imaconservativ1

What I REALLY hope? A) Mitt brings a secret video recorder B) He tells him to come clean on campaign finance fraud and Benghazi, or he’ll release the hounds C) Romney tells him he’ll only share his ideas if O gives him credit for them D) O hands over the keys to the whitehouse

  • Daisy76

What a con man. I have to admire his con game. Spent hundreds of millions detroying a man who is 100 times better than him in education, achievement, intellect, leadership, and character, which he knew all along. Now he invites Romney to the WH knowing that Romney could not refuse the invitation without appearing bad. Obama will come out of this lunch with more points earned than Romney. I don’t buy for a moment that Obama needs Romney. This is just a symbolic gesture on the Thug in-chief’s part, a way for him to look good and to appease half the population that voted for the other guy. It’s all just politics, folks.
As for Romney, he’s far too smart to fall into any kind of “trap” as some of the people have said in here.

  • Guest

Don’t forget to bring some Purell, Mr.Romney.

  • Red Fred

God bless Mitt Romney! I’m incensed that this country chose Obama with his terrible record, when we had the opportunity to elect someone with values that are still cherished by many of us, who actually have to pay taxes, and want transparency as to where our tax dollars are spent. (And decade after decade of welfare for those unwilling to work, and foreign aid is on the top of my list of things that should be cut from this insane budget. And I use “budget” loosely, since they STILL have not approved a budget. RIDICULOUS! I would be in jail for writing insufficient funds checks if I conducted business in this manner.

I’m so disappointed in Romney….Romney is a fool for having anything to do with the dictator!
