Oof: Nicki Minaj accuses Steven Tyler of racism

Former “American Idol” judge Steven Tyler evidently doesn’t have much confidence in new judge Nicki Minaj’s ability to spot talent, telling MTV News that she would vote off Bob Dylan if he were a show contestant. Not terribly chivalrous of him, but was it racist? Minaj thought so, and she took to Twitter to smack him around:

Perhaps Tyler could have kept his criticism to himself, but Minaj should probably put the race card away and focus on the task at hand. Future Bob Dylans are depending on her.

what amazes me is that anyone watches such tripe, let alone cares what any of the so called “judges” think about anything.

  • mahtinw

    Who is Nicki Minaj again?

    • ceemack

I think she’s the one who pointed at her crotch during a halftime show.

Uugh…did that even have anything to do with race?! Racially charged accusations and arguments ate all I feel like I’ve been hearing about for the past fours years and it looks like there’s going to be four more years of race fueled hate.

I keep telling my son to never make fun of a person b/c of the way they’re born; you make fun of people b/c they’re just awful individuals. At least it promotes using some with.

We have to stop reverting to the default position that every time some white person says something critical about a black person, it is racist.
    Idiocy for sure.

im not the kind of guy who complains about music being “bad” right now and i also belive that there is no bad singers but bad song decisions.

with that out of the way, minaj is an idiot both professionally and out of her work field

I probably would’ve voted against Bob myself. But I dont see anything racist about this incident but as usual say anything negative involving blacks and you are suddenly the grand poopah of the KKK. What needs to happen is for white people to start calling anyone who disagrees with them racist. See how that does.

    • Kate

So true! I have actually heard a minority say, “There is no such thing as racism against whites.”

What a ridiculous statement! Hate is hate; it’s color-blind.

The solution to the “race” problem is simple. Websters dictionary just needs to update the definition to include the modern usage of the word.

racist, n. – Someone with a different opinion than a liberal.

That way, everyone can agree. Yep, Steven Tyler’s a racist because he disagrees with a liberal.

Most words have evolved over time. The “b” word literally used to be used to refer to a female dog. It’s not used that way any more. Bastard used to refer to a child born out of wedlock. Not any more. A racist used to be someone who believed their race is superior to other races. Not any more. It’s just a bad word that angry people use to spew hate towards the person with whom they’re angry.

Just update the definition of racist to reflect common usage. It’s got nothing to do with race any more. If you can add “ginormous” to the dictionary, you can certain update “racist”.

Showing off the wealth of your public education, are we?

      • medicinewomantwo

Well I, don’t know. If that means I obtained 2 bachelors degrees in less than the required time, I suppose but chances are I just used my common sense which I realize is no longer offered in liberal colleges.

Twitchy Staff: “Minaj should probably put the race card away and focus on the task at hand.”

But that’s all she has, like the rest of her fellow low information obamabots. Well that and all the damned lies. She is living proof that all you need to do to make it big in the hip hop industry is just rip off another performer’s shtick and prove you are even nuttier than they are.

  • Steve_J

    I’d vote Dylan off.

  • CombatDiver

Typical and at very best, ignorant.

  • msmarie

She really has some issues. How did she get racism from Steven’s statement? My goodness…

  • LibLieExposer

93 % OF BLACKS voted for the *black* candidate for president, meaning 93% of BLACKS REFUSED to vote for the *white* candidate for president, and WE are called racist by the Obama sycophants such as Minaj???

  • LFMazzuckelli

I think she’s a racist for calling Tyler a racist.

  • Josh

Is it racist if I say Steven Tyler looks like a chimpanzee?
