Ed Schultz, liberals unhappy with David Plouffe for suggesting entitlement reform

We’re all familiar with the Obama administration’s “I won” approach to compromise, but White House senior advisor David Plouffe today earned the scorn of liberals when video of him naming Medicare and Medicaid as the chief drivers of the deficit made the rounds. MSNBC’s Ed Schultz was among those trying to reel Plouffe back from the edge of reality.

Those aren’t the talking points the Left wanted to hear. Time for a trip to reeducation camp?

Testosterone pills? Are those covered?

Though he’s only now being taken to task, Plouffe made the remarks Nov. 14 at an appearance at the University of Delaware.

They still do not get that there is no saving the economy without entitlement reform. They believed the lies. Poor blind sheep. The reality is going to hit them hard, when they have to cut them.

They get it. They just don’t care. The only thing that it’s about to them is “We Won”. And that means screwing everything up just to prove their “point”.

they crow about compromise and reaching across the aisle as long as it is republicans doing the compromising and reaching.

‘Compromise’ and ‘Bi-Partisanship’ mean Republicans cave and do things the way the Democrats want. Period.

This looks, sounds, tastes and feels like an Obama inspired Trial Balloon. Whose sole purpose is to inoculate Obama when the economy tanks.

“Bipartisanship”, Chicago-style, means Republicans playing junior partner in the Chicago combine.

        Hi, NCT:

        I’m hip.

I’ve lived in Maryland for more than five decades and know pretty well how Democrats destroy everything around them for your own good. The Baltimore/Annapolis political machine works pretty well from the left’s point of view, but Chicago has a generational well oiled machine.

It’s a spending problem in Washington and not a tax problem. Which is why this problem won’t be solved till the economy tanks. And then the poor that liberals claim to protect will truly understand that it was the rich who actually helped them, the liberals just used them.

  • LordElrond09

As surprised as libs may be to realize this but the balance of power in Washington changed, not at all with this election

to the Reds, the rich have not given anthing and the working class have alsready cut 900 billion. time for the rich to put in their fair share.: During the 2010 and 2011 budget negotiations Congress cut $900 billion in programs for working people and the wealthy did not contribute one nickel

Do you realize that the top percent earners pay nearly 50 percent of the taxes, while others get a free ride? Tell me, why do you think you deserve anyone’s hard earned money? Also, what is “fair share” and who decides it? Do you think earnings are something that the benevolent government “allows” us to keep? Should we just hand over all of our money to the government and they give us an allowance?
You are jealous of those who work harder and have more than you. Fine, but why don’t you do something about it, instead of begging the government to take from them. But then again, that would be proactive and it is much more fun pointing fingers and blaming others, and being the victim that needs government to wipe them every morning.

it’s called a balance sheet. Americans need to learn a little econ 101

Of course the libs are angry. Not only did one of their own break ranks – unheard of and unforgivable – but now Plouffe has opened a door of blame to the Dems (not just the Repubs) when an agreement can’t be reached. A mouse door, maybe, but it’s something.

  • orringtonmom (D)

“you want our support? support us.” and there you have it.

  • CombatDiver

It’s amazing that the left thought Shultz was going to be the liberals Limbaugh. Shultz is an angry, bitter no talent hack with barely any measurable audience.

Hey Obama voters, you’ve been punked! haha
