As the conflict between the IDF and Hamas escalates, both in real life and in a salvo of Twitter posts, politicians George Galloway and Roseanne Barr have begun some trans-Atlantic bonding.
Galloway, who founded the left-wing Respect Party after being driven out of the Labour Party, and Barr, who ran for U.S. president on behalf of the Peace and Freedom Party, exchanged their views today, perhaps glad to be taken seriously. Barr, you see, can translate Galloway’s shorthand.
@georgegalloway by crusader alliance you mean the British Empire, right?—
Roseanne Barr (@TheRealRoseanne) November 14, 2012

Just stop. You had her at “U.S. Empire.” Barr isn’t done yet, though.
