Zing! Rush Limbaugh: ‘Too many generals taking orders from their privates’

Rush Limbaugh had listeners in stitches today as he weighed in on the unfortunately still-developing scandal involving Gen. David Petraeus, Gen. John Allen and a growing number of lady friends.

Indeed. That one rivals the Daily News headline “In The Line of Booty.” But Rush wasn’t done yet.

Rush is playing that line over and over again in an IFB loop so he can hear how brilliant he thinks he sounds.

Better than the President gleefully playing his ordered-by-him drone snuff films over and over in his private study.

Rush plays some things over and over so people who didn’t hear it get the chance to do so. He’s on radio and lots of people only hear him when driving in their cars. Except for 24/7 members who can hear the whole program on-line. I hope he played Bracka Claus is Comin to Town again today. (Paul Shanklin) It’s hilarious and I’m about to go listen to the program.

Even I have to give it to the Progressives on this one. They got socialized medicine and wasted no time after the election going after their next biggest target: the military. The only real surprise here is how easy it’s going to be considering the caliber of people promoted to high positions.
I’ve always thought of Obama as being rather dimwitted. But someone in his circle is pretty smart.

    • Grumpa Grumpus

      @Jaynie59:
the reason for the decline of the quality of general grade officers and flag officers is simple:

All officers if a certain level and above must be approved by Congress. The Critters in Congress have been playing a game of increasing hedonism and abrogation of their responsibilities.

Odd how childish they are. They crave the exercise of power but want it without the responsibility.

Campaign to close military bases, but don’t have the courage of conviction? “Blue ribbon panel” it!

Theres no way these “children” could limit their flaws to only themselves!

Any officer who expressed/expresses openness to strong Constitutional feelings was/is canned. I watched it happen again & again.

I could give many examples, but Ward and Petraeus show where we are headed and Powell shows where it started.

Two points define a trajectory, here we’ve got three.

I’m certain I’ll get a drubbing for the above comments. Ostrich behavior isn’t support for your average dogface, though. Remember, these are the men who plan the battles, set ROE, and have responsibility for huge numbers of personnel.

They must be honest and true.
      Remember Luke 6:43

For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

The fruit for us– that we must aim for– wholesome politicians. We have the current crop of scum b/c we’ve encouraged and rewarded it.

Then we have to follow-up on the choices.Congress makes, so their fruits are good.

Please…at what point hasn’t a man done so at one time or another. This country is tolerating voter fraud, death of American’s in Libya, major welfare and government spending fraud and Petraeus’ affair is the concern? Organizing a protest and march should be priority.

I agree Elizabeth. All this giddiness over someone having sex is a distraction. Every damn politician and a lot of military personnel have had affairs. Affairs are no big deal since the Clinton era. What is really happening is the next step in obama’s plan….dismantle the military. Destroy their morale. Pick them off one by one and replace them with his subjects. His form of martial law will not be by using the military…but his own “citizen patrols”….because obama knows the military will not follow his orders if he orders them to go against their own people.

I disagree. First, statistics show that less than 1/2 of men cheat and that men & women cheat at the same rate. No need to keep stale stereotypes going.

It matters that our military leaders are so arrogant that they’ve turned CENTCOM into a bad porn movie complete with crazy self-centered entitled identical twins.

Perhaps we could have avoided disasters in Iraq, Afghanistan & Libya if our leaders were a little more focused on their JOBS instead of on sending and reading 10’s of thousands of pages of messsages.

It always matters when those with national security information behave badly. We’ve drawn a line about that so that we can better control secrets. Leaders are role models. If they can ignore that line then everyone will.. and we’ll be in a world of hurt.

      • Grumpa Grumpus

        @ByondPolitics:

        Bravo!

You echo my point, but w/greater brevity, thank you!

One thing I’m afraid we’ll see is a split into 2 general groups: 1. The Ostriches. Those who mindlessly repeat “support the troops… support the troops… don’t speak any criticism – that’s not supporting the troops!”
While under normal circumstances I wouldn’t think Ostriches likely, (I have a lot of faith in the people here…), these aren’t normal times.
We have the Progressives looking to polish any tender spot to shining to a gleaming grievance.
Anyone unless extra careful stands a chance of being carried away if the Proggies touch the right tenderspot.
I can talk about this because I don’t have to worry. I’m 96… all my spots are tender *grin*
        2. the other group, for whatever reason, don’t ostrich, but realize the lesser ranks are operating under an intolerable burden: upper echelon office who see them only as material to fill the potholes in their political career on their way to a shorttail general or higher.

I feel for our people! I retired years ago but my wife was boarded a few yrs ago, wounded while deployed.

She was AD for over 23yrs, and during that time I was treated to a military very different than when I mustered out. In the medical corps I estimate that approximately 80% of the officers were more focused on who to step on to reach the next step.
The good news about that is the medical corps was the most political component there.
To give you an Idea of what I mean, a Full Bird Nurse called everyone in in batches, into her command into her office to extol the virtues of voting for Algore. And strongly hint that not voting DumperCrat would put you on her “bad” list… and she was a vindictive piece of work.
I watched an officer do something I never thought I’d see: burn-out a junior officer to the unit office would look good for that jump from Maj. to Col.

Admittedly this type of thing wasn’t common, but it happened often enough that I’m very worried.

And when I heard sources I trust tell me that ROE was set by Petraeus I began to wonder if the entire top tier isn’t rotted away.

Americans need to Support our Military! Maybe this will motivate the military to dismantle the United States Government that no longer represents Americans and their freedom.

    • Michael Anderson

We have to be careful about the military initiating actions against the government. I understand that they have sworn an oath to defend the constitution, and therefore it can be their responsibility to take this action. However if the military responds to help private citizens throw out a bad government then it won’t set the precedence for a military coup.

    • ByondPolitics

Think about that. Do you seriously want men who carefully listen to people like Ms. Kelley to take over our country? SHUDDER

      • Terry

Obama takes his counsel for Iran-born Valerie Jarret. WAAY bigger SHUDDER.

Ahhh Rush Limbaugh, the last stand of morality. Forget his “Sanctity of Marriage” or his “Pill Habit” or the fact he like to call people “Sluts”

Please, tell me more about this Moral High Horse you ride Mr. Limbaugh.

    • Terry

Rush very humbly apologizes when he makes a mistake, and has never professed to be perfect. He took pain medications prescribed by his physician after having surgery for a cochlear implant. (He is deaf) These medications are highly addictive and many, MANY people in the US are hooked on the stuff. (Brett Farve was a Vicodin addict during at least one of his seasons with the Packers) As for calling Fluke a slut, what do you call it when you want someone else to pay for you to have sex? Calling her a slut was being civil. I prefer the term Whore.

      • http://twitter.com/redsoxunixgeek Smitty 

She wasn’t asking to be paid for sex. She was asking to have birth control covered by insurance. There is a huge difference.

My wife has taken birth control since she was 14. Not because she was out whoring around, but because the hormones regulated her period and made it so she could function and not be in pain. Does this make my wife a “whore” or a “slut” no, it makes her a woman who uses it now as an adult to plan our family, and 2 to maintain some sanity from PMS.

Not every woman who uses birth control does it for sex.

        • Jack Deth

She wasn’t asking to be paid for sex.

Actually, she was. Demanding more than less that tax payers shell out money for her freedom to fuck.

Though, I can’t think of anyone who would want to bed the Democrats’ and its liberal media’s newest, most expendable socialist sock puppet, Ms. Fluke.

          Nice try. Thanks for playing!

          • Danny Meeker

Harry Reid looks like he should be on the receiving end at an S&M orgy.

        • Terry

Smitty, So what you’re saying is that your wife has taken medication, for a medical condition, since she was 14. That is not “birth control”. Fluke did not ask for free ‘medication’. She was explicit that her Birth Control cost her thousands of dollars over the course of her college ‘career’. So she wants me to pay for her to have sex, and being paid to have sex = a whore. You assume Fluke uses a pill for BC, but that only costs about $150 per year. She either uses a different form of BC, or she was lying about the cost. I’m sorry your wife has hormone difficulties, I’m sure that sux. And I’m sure you make sure she has what she needs. But I hope you understand that me and my family have our own needs and really can’t afford to be paying for other peoples’ pleasure. — As for family planning, guys can buy a condom.

I’ve used this line like 100 times today. Sorry Rush. I didn’t credit you, but I support your advertisers. Kinda sorta the same thing….ish.

  • dunst43

On a serious note. We still need to focus on Benghazi. Petraeus is now free of his Lewinsky moment. Those involved have made sure their communications have been made safe. The key is in the coms. Everybody was monitoring this. Ask the Russians for their transcripts, and the British, and the Saudis, and the Dutch. It’s all there.

  • SwTk

Gentlemen, all our lives we have been accused of thinking more with the little head and not enough with the big one. It appears we have been surpassed in that assessment.

Woman, please stop slapping me with your lady parts. I promise never to even attempt to put anything in one again. Most liberal chics are Fugley anyway.

    • Danny Meeker

Exactly. Ladies, I am a man. I have a brain and a penis, but only enough blood to run one at a time. You are taking advantage of my genetics, and I feel emotionally and sexually traumatized by your va-jay-jay’s. I’m not just a piece of meat; I’m a human being and I’m good for lots of things….like helping lift heavy objects and stepping on bugs.
