Twitterers falsely proclaim that George Zimmerman has been convicted of murder, sentenced to life in prison

No.

Ignoring them would be wise. Zimmerman was indeed charged with second-degree murder, but he has not been convicted. He will not even be going to trial until June 2013.

Earlier this year, Twitter erupted with unfounded rumors of Zimmerman’s conviction and sentencing. Today, those false rumors have returned and are running rampant:
