Has Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley uncovered why Democrats are so unwilling to reach across the aisle and work with Republicans to avert a plunge over the fiscal cliff? The Wall Street Journal reports that O’Malley hopes Republicans will “shed their sort of Tea Party obstructionist stench” and strike a deal with Democrats on issues ranging from tax increases to immigration reform.
But seriously, stench? Has O’Malley hired Hugo Chavez’s speechwriter?
@WSJFiscalCliff O'Malley's such a loser. He wants to run for prez, and makes "stench" remark a week after election. Incredible.—

I see O'Malley has really helped the situation referring to Tea Party "stench". I don't think he'll get his way. #stribpol #mnleg #teaparty—
