Breaking: Israel fires on Syria after mortar strike; Update: Photos of rocket strikes into Israel

A Syrian shell landed in Israel this morning, for the second time in recent days, and Israel sent a warning shot back.

More from The Jerusalem Post:

“In light of the policy instituted by IDF Chief of Staff, Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz, a warning round was fired back into Syria. We don’t believe it caused injuries or damages,” Mordechai added.

At the same time, Israel sent a warning message to the UN, saying that any further firing into Israel will result “in a real response,” sources added.

Israel has been under heavy fire since yesterday.

Twitchy will continue to monitor this escalating situation and will update with further developments.

Update: More photos coming out of Israel.

    Here we go. It starts.

Sorry, DEMwits but Nobama MUST get off Golf Course today & prove to us he meant, “America Stands With Israel!”

    • TugboatPhil

They also believed that he stood with Ambassador Stevens.

    • yahneverknow

He’s too busy making campaign speeches at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier today.

  • usmccp

Maybe if we ask them to stop reeaaal nicely…

Makes it pretty simple … you’d think, but then again, judging by the comments, I think I see where some of our special friends from here spend their down time.

Ah yes, bless their hearts …

Glad to see Obama was enjoying his golf game so soon after the election.

  • McCabe

It’s obvious, The LightBringer is not going to stand with Israel and he’s not going to stand with America.

    • my preciousss!!

he only pretended to stand with Israel, because he needed to be re-elected. now he can drop all pretenses. …of looking like he is working hard, of being a Christian, of caring for America, etc. etc.

  • SpinMeNot

May God be with us all. But on the other hand …

  • SpinMeNot

Obama will of course have a brief presser from the 7th tee this morning, chastising Israel for putting that child’s room where a jihadi had his rocket launcher pointing.

In other news, some stinking Islamist somewhere talks about how brave he was in the attack, while humping a goat.

The picture of that young woman with her child — want to see what a mother’s love looks like … that is it boys and girls, that is it.

The men and women of the IDF are some of the best in the world. I pray for their families, for their skill at their jobs and for the protection of all Israeli citizens. I ask you all to do the same.

Chicago Jesus gets re-elected…….now this. Something tells me this is no co-incidence.

    • SpinMeNot

ok, it isn’t a coincidence — it is good that you bring this up. I wonder what we’d be talking about right now if the election had gone the other way. Would it be better or worse.

Back a scared animal into a corner and it rarely goes well. At least with BHO, the bad guys know they aren’t going to get hit by the US. However, that works both ways. Bibi knows that he isn’t getting any help from us either. He isn’t afraid of much, other than perhaps the safety of his country and they’ve done it before, they’ll do it again.

  • my preciousss!!

am patiently waiting for Romans 1:18 = For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.

  • GoSellCrazySomeplaceElse

I whole-heartedly back Bibi and Israel. Bomb the sh!t out of Syria and any other country that is a threat to Israel. Our leaders are very dissapointing, but we new they would be.

Collaborationist Media reports: “Zionist aggressors launched an assault on Syrian territory today, killing and terrorizing hundreds of war-weary refugees.”

  • Mike Rogers

Simple solution. Israel can track origins, and can fire with greater accuracy than the terrorists.
Make announcement that the point of origin of a role or mortar round will be turned into a smoking crater, and that launches should not be from civilian areas.
Make second announcement that the craters will become larger if the rockets do not cease.
Third announcement that if arms smuggling through Sinai does not cease, tactical nukes will be used to make the territory too hazardous to cross.
Any questions? Have a nice day.

Good for Israel. they’re letting Syria know. “you better not start anything, boy. I’ll beat your a$$ to sand.”
