Lapdog Chuck Todd whines that Obama is keeping press at a distance

Poor Chuck. After working his tail off over the last four-plus years to shield Obama from any scrutiny, the media lapdog lamented that this was the closest he could get to the Anointed One during this afternoon’s fiscal cliff statement:

Needless to say, conservatives had no sympathy for him:

And several people pointed out that Todd should have seen the snub coming:

Indeed. With Obama’s second term a done deal, he no longer needs the media to do his bidding. Unlike as is the case for so many Americans, the president’s job is quite secure. Chuck is gonna have to get comfortable sitting on the sidelines with the rest of America.
