With first post-racial president reelected, ‘F**k white people’ trends

We’ll dedicate this post to Mark Ruffalo, who declared an Obama reelection a victory over bigotry and racial hatred. These certainly aren’t representative of all Obama supporters out there, and we’re guessing some of them are sarcastic, but there were enough of them to get a trend going, sadly.

We’d like to note that the Electoral College tally on this next tweet isn’t final.

It’s nice to see that not everyone is fine with this sort of trend.

  • CanofSand

It’s time to stop pretending we’re dealing with rational, moral people on the other side of the aisle.

    • SineWaveII

Unfortunately we’re about 20 years too late on this one. This is who they’ve always been. They’ve just been hiding it up until now.

      • http://www.cosmicgirl.net/ Cosmic Girl

They have always been rotten to the core and it’s obvious to us. The hurdle is how do we open the eyes of others so that they will see what is right before them? We need the input of ex-liberals, who use to be blind & insane, and find out what made them finally see the light. This is a huge hurdle.

        • SineWaveII

There is only one way. They have to suffer through terrible misery that’s unmistakable that no one can lie to them about. Just as the ‘greatest generation’ had to suffer through the great depression to be forged into the generation that won WWII; so to this generation will have to suffer so they can be forged into a great generation. I think this generation needs a wake up call in the worst way. No fear though, they’ve just sealed their own fate; and they will now be forged in the fire of their creation.

          • Jens Christian

            You’re right.

This will hurt them in the long run, yet they celebrate. I look forward to the next 4 years just to see it all unravel.

          • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

There will come a time, however, when God will say, ‘Pray not for these people, for I will not hear thee.’ Have we gotten to that point?

          • Teresa Davis McCormick

lol So you re-elected a president who sucked for four years because of the president before him. OMG do me a favor……think about that one for a while. It doesn’t make sense. Most incumbent presidents run on their record of the previous 4 years. Obama only president who hasn’t. I think we all know why.

          • SineWaveII

Exactly. History is my hobby, and I can tell you that what you said is pretty much an axiom. Experience is not only the best teacher, it’s the only teacher. You can’t save people from suffering, they have to suffer so they can learn life’s lessons. And they have to learn them on their own.

          • mike

some people never learn.. detroit is a good example

          • Teresa Davis McCormick

Heck the whole state of Michigan is a good example. I was raised there. The smart people grow up and get the f$#k out.

          • Katherine McChesney

I highly doubt trials and tribulations will lead to anything fruitful and meaningful. They produce flash mobs, brawls, and destruction more than any race on earth.

My original comment had nothing to do with race. It pertains to liberals…PERIOD. White, black, brown, yellow, red. I don’t judge people based on their race. There’s no place in conservatism for racism. So….DO NOT RESPOND TO MY COMMENTS WITH ANY DEGRADING COMMENTS ABOUT ANOTHER RACE…NOT BLACK, WHITE, BROWN, YELLOW, RED.

          • Jennifer Zenda

They’re too lazy to be able to become a great generation. A bunch of people who are government dependent will NOT be leading us to some great turnaround.

          • Christopher Moser

            Totally agree!

          • SineWaveII

Not until they are brought to the point that there is no other course of action. And I didn’t really mean them, I was actually referring to their children as the new “great generation” because those poor kids are going to suffer, there’s no doubt about that.

          • Katherine McChesney

I guarantee that the majority of whites who need welfare for a period of time will find a way to pick themselves up and move on to better things. We have the most wonderful history of accomplishment ever known in history and it did not come from white privilege or some hoax program like affirmative action.

Even that won’t open up the eyes of most of them. They are already blaming things on the Republicans and will continue to do so for at least a couple of generations. I don’t think it’s going to be any time soon that America starts to get better at this point, no matter who is in office but I know it wont be any different than the last 4 years. If anything it will be worse. We elect our presidents for only 4 years for a reason, if Barac couldn’t start improving things in that amount of time another 4 years won’t make a difference. Good Luck America! We’re going to need it.

We really can’t. It’s the down side of being a member of a nation. Wherever the nation goes we must all go together.
I think maybe it’s time to start finding a way to eliminate the political parties. They are obsolete and don’t work anymore. We need to start investigating the idea of phasing them out. It might be our best hope at this point.
Remember that the political. parties are not even mentioned in the constitution. We’ve only had one president who was not from a political party – George Washington and he was opposed to their creation. Maybe it’s time to reconsider his position.

        • beebop1952

They aren’t going to see until it begins to impact them at the levels we are going to see in high food, utility and fuel costs. Of course they won’t recognize whose policies have put us where we are, but they are going to be screaming like the Superstorm Sandy victims …

Dow down 300. It begins. This is what I was afraid of. Warren Buffet, George Kaiser, and George Soros have had their money parked in the stock market all year to get obama re-elected. They achieved that, They will now pull their money out to protect it from risk. Now we’ll learn how bad the economy really is since there is no point in lying about it anymore. Hold on, things are about to get rough.

You are right they are not rational, they are not American’s by the traditional way of doing things, although many are and just don’t realize what they are doing and who they are supporting. Thank you, Party of Lincoln and Frederick Douglass, and to all the white & black Republicans after the Civil War, whose lives and property were threatened and/or destroyed by this country’s first criminal organization….the democrat “party”. I have always strived to live up to Dr. King’s dream of judging a man by the content of his character, not the color of his skin. I voted for Romney because he possesses the quality of character I look for in a leader. Obama does not. I could not care less what Obama looks like, nor do I care where he was born. But when people of color on the other side start spewing hateful accusations of racism at me because I didn’t vote for “their kind”, when the vast majority of them clearly voted for Obama simply because they want a president who looks like them, it’s a bit unfair to expect me not to say they are unhinged and immoral. Do I think all Democrats are unhinged and immoral? Of course not. But since you voted for a man who I find lacking in good judgment and character, that does diminish my opinion of your wisdom.

        • Purple State

But how do you know they voted for Obama only because of his skin color? Have you asked the “vast majority” of a majority of Americans their reason for voting for him? Couldn’t they have also voted for him because he possesses the quality of character they look for in a leader?

If they voted like other ethnic groups, then the statistics would’ve mirrored those populations. Instead, the last results I looked at claimed that some 93% of African Americans who were registered to vote cast their ballot for Obama. Those are rather overwhelming statistics. It certainly can’t be because their situation has improved under Obama, with a current unemployment rate over 14% for their ethnic group. As for hints that I am being racist, I would just like to point out the content of the article to which people on this thread have responded. I have never used such terms to describe someone of another ethnicity. Where is your outrage over such obvious, hateful race baiting?

          • Purple State

I didn’t accuse you of being racist, did I?

As for what the demographics show, yes, African Americans voted overwhelmingly for Obama (as did Latinos, yet they don’t share an ethnic background with the president.) But the statistic from the exit polls most significant here is the question “which candidate cares about people like me?” Obama was chosen overwhelmingly — across all races and ethnicities. Racial identity could very easily be a factor — I’m sure it’s a profound experience, especially for older African-Americans, to be able to vote for a candidate they feel shares their life experience, perhaps. (This is speculation on my part.) But it’s not the only factor, just as Romney’s ethnicity was certainly not your only factor in voting for him. The largest part of it is the Romney message didn’t resonate for more Americans. This is my argument.

Another way to think about it, if your theory were correct, shouldn’t Romney have received as high of numbers of the white vote? He won many of the white males, but white females broke for Obama.

As for outrage, I’m disheartened by hateful messages of any kind. But I also recognize that these messages are out there, coming from both sides. Twitchy curates only the ones that reinforce the narrative they want to create about the left. Search Twitter and you’ll find all the racist remarks going the other direction that you can stand.

          • Katherine McChesney

You’re no racist. Yours is a sensible comment. Purple State has drunk the poisonous purple drank kool-aid. He’s been brainwashed by liberalism. A trip through World Star Hip-Hop videos might be in order for him to get a clear picture of the people he defends.

Shows you clearly have a superficial understanding of ‘them’ as you put it and it shows a severe condescension in that African Americans don’t vote logically on issues and only on skin color.
This comment of yours diminishes my opinion of you and your understanding of what Dr. King stood for.

My comment about his birthplace is a repudiation of the countless ridiculous claims from birthers that Obama is not a legal resident but is instead a Kenyan, a discussion I frankly found deplorable and debasing. As for my comments about the vast majority of African Americans voting for Obama because of race, the statistics (93%, the last time I checked) are so overwhelming that there can be no other logical explanation. If they voted for the same reasons as people of other races, their statistics would’ve been roughly half that amount. If those facts diminish your opinion of me then so be it. I have other, more important things to worry about, like how to make up for the extra tax being taken out of my paycheck because Obamacare considers my health insurance plan to be of “high value”, so they can use it to pay for someone else’s insurance. My kids will be forced to come up with money up front to purchase insurance. Even if they get a credit back on their taxes, they still have to pay rent out of a greatly diminished paycheck. They are part of that 50% of college graduates for whom there were no jobs under Obamanomics. They now barely scrape by on wages from parking cars, waiting tables, and chauffeuring. Under Obama’s leadership, their outlook for the next four years is bleak. And you can no longer blame Bush.

Michael King was a whore-monger, a woman beater and a plaigiarist to boot. He was never legally “Martin Luther” King. He and his father both were Michael’s. One speech of his was good on character; otherwise, he was a despicable racist. Same as the mulatto in the White House.

I couldn’t agree with you more. It’s the character of an individual that counts. Had Herman Cain or Allen West been the GOP Nominee I would have voted for them. If Mia Love get’s that far I will be voting for her. Has nothing to do with color, it has all to do with Character. Take a look at the three individuals just mentioned and compare their character to Obama. GET IT?

Because not one Democrat I have spoken to in the past four weeks can tell me what 0bama is going to do in the next four years but can recite chapter and verse about Bain Capital or tell me how bad the taxpaying 1% is. Not one little concept regarding how even their heroes (George Lucas comes to mind) are cutting and running and making sure they got theirs.

          Let me try…

First, with the war in Iraq over and the war in Afghanistan coming to a close more funds for what Obama has referred to as “nation-building right here at home” . http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/barackobama/9237453/Barack-Obama-we-need-to-do-nation-building-right-here-at-home.html

Second…When Republicans took the House in 2010, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s now infamous statement in 2010 that their “top political priority over the next two years should be to deny President Obama a second term in office.” This, however, will not be the case if Obama is elected for another term. Obama will no longer be a political threat in 2016 and you have a formula for a Congress that is more willing to work with the President.

This will pave the way for compromise on the jobs bill, the extension of middle class tax cuts while eliminating tax cuts for the super wealthy, infrastructure funding, and a slew of other economic policies that have been blocked over the past two years.

Now that the Affordable Care Act is the law, this is what will be happening in the next few years…
          • 1/01/2013 – New funding to state Medicaid programs that choose to cover preventive services for patients at little or no cost.
          • 1/01/2013 – Increasing Medicaid Payments for Primary Care Doctors
          • 1/01/2013 – A national pilot program to encourage hospitals, doctors, and other providers to work together to improve the coordination and quality of patient care.
          • 10/01/2013 – Additional Funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
          • 1/01/2014 – Health insurance exchanges established to help individuals find low cost health care insurance.
          • 1/01/2014 – Health insurance mandate begins.
          • 1/01/2014 – Americans who earn less than 133% of the poverty level (approximately $14,000 for an individual and $29,000 for a family of four) will be eligible to enroll in Medicaid.
          • 1/01/2014 – Tax credits to help the middle class afford insurance will become available for those with income between 100% and 400% of the poverty line who are not eligible for other affordable coverage.
          • 1/01/2014 – Insurers will be prohibited from dropping or limiting coverage because an individual chooses to participate in a clinical trial.
          • 1/01/2014 – Annual limits on insurance coverage eliminated
          • 1/01/2014 – Prohibition against discrimination due to pre-existing conditions or gender.
          • 1/01/2014 – Second phase of the small business tax credit for qualified small businesses and small non-profit organizations.
          • 1/01/2015 – A new provision will tie physician payments to the quality of care they provide.

Throughout his first term and the campaign Obama has been steadfast in his support of women’s issues. From the start of his first term when he signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act as his first act as President to his fighting for access to contraception earlier this year Obama has championed women’s issues; and there is every reason to believe that he will continue to do so if re-elected.

the NRA and others have been stating that if re-elected Obama will finally come for Americans guns – they stated he would do it the first time as well and that obviously never occurred. The fact is, however, that although President Obama did indicate that he may back a ban on assault rifles http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/10/obama-calls-for-renewal-of-assault-weapons-ban/ this is the closest he has come in four years to supporting any new gun control legislation. In fact, ABC News reported in July that even after the tragic shootings in Aurora, CO the “White House signaled . . . that President Obama, who has seldom shown much appetite to fight with the powerful National Rifle Association, did not intend to make a push for stricter gun controls.
If President Obama truly did have a secret agenda to enforce stricter gun control laws the aftermath of the shootings in Aurora was undoubtedly the time he would have unveiled it. In reality, this is nothing more than a scarecrow argument and another four years under Obama is likely to see the same amount of new gun control legislation as the last four – none.

            Funny.

          • disqus_pysnp6nJvo

that is kind of offensive. your post implies (hopefully not intentionally) that all democrats think that way. democrats are not the only ones that quit their jobs and end up on welfare (permanently or temporarily). Liberals and Republicans quit their jobs as well and then decide that they will just be on welfare rather than finding another job. There are inconsiderate/ignorant people everywhere no matter what political party they support. I’ve read through the posts on this sight, democratic sights, and liberal sights and there seems to be so much anger and hatred everywhere. No one is going to agree entirely on everything. The only way things are going to get done is if people can set aside their differences and work together to do what is best for America. Everyone has a plan but nobody’s plan has worked. Republicans have some really good ideas and so do Democrats, just like both parties have some bad ideas. Rather than trying to divide and say “you should follow my plan” it should be “you should follow OUR plan”. Yes, I know this is a far fetched dream because America will never come together and work together, both parties helping each other make the right decision and do what’s best for the American people. But pointing the finger, blaming the other party, and saying racist things will get us nowhere. I mean I was taught that back in kindergarten. Just because someone doesn’t believe in the same things as you do does not make them an idiot. Everyone has the right to their own opinion and people fail to realize that they get offended when others call them idiots because they don’t believe what they believe but yet that person who was once offended is quick to call someone else and idiot just because they don’t agree.

No this post is not meant to “jump” on or attack you, I’m just stating that your post seemed a little offensive. Hopefully not your intentions, it came off as you are saying that all democrats act that way when that is not the case. What you described can be found as the actions in a lot of Americans regardless of political affiliation. My source? I know a republican who decided to quit her job in NC, moved to VA, is mooching off of her Aunt (who is elderly), has applied for public assistance and is currently trying to con a church into helping her by playing the “victim” role. One church has seen through her and when they denied her assistance she decided to move to another church to see if they will fall for it.

So, my point is we all have flaws and we all have different opinions. But until we can learn to agree to disagree and TRY to work together we will always be divided and for some filled with hatred.

Obama set the table? Really? I know Bush was a feckless President, but he still was president.

2002: President George W. Bush announced a new initiative to create 5.5 million new homeowners by 2010. “The goal is, everybody who wants to own a home has got a shot at doing so,” the President said
at a June press conference in Washington. Among other things, the President cited “high down payments” as a barrier to homeownership that needed to be addressed. The President also said that both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac would help in reaching the new goals. http://archives.hud.gov/remarks/martinez/speeches/presremarks.cfm

We can put light where there’s darkness, and hope where there’s despondency in this country. And part of it is working together as a nation to encourage folks to own their own home.
            ‐‐President George W. Bush, October 15, 2002

[I]f you own something, you have a vital stake in the future of our country. The more ownership there is in America, the more vitality there is in America, and the more people have a vital stake in the future of this country.
            ‐‐President George W. Bush, June 17, 2004

Expanding Homeownership. The President believes that homeownership is the cornerstone of America’s vibrant communities and benefits individual families by building stability and long‐term financial security. In June 2002, President Bush issued America’s Homeownership Challenge to the real estate and mortgage finance industries to encourage them to join the effort to close the gap that exists between the homeownership rates of minorities and non‐minorities. The President also announced the goal of increasing the number of minority homeowners by at least 5.5 million families before the end of the decade. Under his leadership, the overall U.S. homeownership rate in the second quarter of 2004 was at
an all time high of 69.2 percent. Minority homeownership set a new record of 51 percent in the second quarter, up 0.2 percentage point from the first quarter and up 2.1 percentage points from a year ago.
‐‐“America’s Ownership Society,” White House fact sheet, August 9, 2004 http://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news/releases/2004/08/20040809-9.html

Another priority for a new term is to build an ownership society, because ownership brings security and dignity and independence. Thanks to our policies, home ownership in America is at an all‐ time high. Tonight we set a new goal: 7 million more affordable homes in the next 10 years, so more American families will be able to open the door and say, ‘Welcome to my home.’
            ‐‐President George W. Bush, Thursday, September 2, 2004 http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A57466-2004Sep2.html

Sure, Bush gave a warning…by hiring his prep school buddy Jim Lockhart (“Heck of a job Locky) to head regulations at F&F. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/21/business/21admin.html?pagewanted=1&_r=2&sq=We%20can%20put%20light%20where%&scp=1&

G.W. Bush signed 291 executive orders during his eight-year term of office and had 272 filibusters in eight years.

As of Aug. 10, 2012, Barack Obama had signed 135 executive orders since taking office and has had 380 filibusters so far.

Bush and the Republicans repeatedly warned democrats about Fannie/Freddie Mac & the coming housing crisis that democrats started by forcing banks to loosen loan requirements. They were ignored. Even Clinton admitted that. Actually, I’m amazed America has lasted as long as it has with the democrat party still in existence.

Well, we knew there was going to be rampant voting fraud, but nothing serious was done about it. How can there be, when there is a lawless regime in control. The law cannot protect the people if the law itself is corrupt! America is in deep trouble and all those racist blacks who are only worried about their black selfish selves & all the people on welfare who care only about their welfare & cell phones (who, by the way, make more money than I do) have NO IDEA just what kind of trouble America is in. They’ll find out and they’ll get what they deserve. The problem is, we will also get what they deserve! Oh BTW, if you foul penned blacks hate whites so much, why don’t you go to a traditionally black country to live, you might like it better. Just keep your hate away from my black daughter in law and grandson! Life is tough enough to get though without your unwarranted & unsolicited and unwanted hateful interruptions!

I am a fourth gen native of beautiful California. Sadly, hordes of people have moved here from countries where their governments took money from evil rich people and redistributed it to everyone else. They have all but destroyed my home state. So, I am going to sell my million dollar shack (really, I’m not kidding, it is literally an 1,100 sq ft 75 year old, termite infested Bay Area hovel that is worth 1.3 million!) and move to a parcel of countryside in the reddest state I can find. I won’t be able to escape the long arm of Obummer, but at least me and my wallet won’t have to put up with Governor Moonbeam and the Hordes anymore. I will reluctantly trade my homeland and unbelievably gorgeous weather for a piece of peace :-)

Almost every single proposition, legislator, measure, etc., that I voted for did not win or pass, with just a couple of exceptions. Someone asked me yesterday why I vote at all, when the opposite of what I vote for is usually what I get…I said that I vote because it’s my privilege, and even if what I want doesn’t get through, I’m true to myself and my heart and my beliefs. It’s just hard to keep doing that while standing in the middle of smoke, fire, and in tattered clothing with a dirty face. But I will keep voting and making my voice heard, even if it’s just a whisper to the government.

Aren’t you forgetting that the blue state federal taxes go in large part to the red states to prop up their budgets? Mississippi gets something like $1.73 for every tax dollar they send to the government and NJ get $0.70 for every tax dollar.

So, who is getting free stuff?

      • silenteyedstorm

Aren’t you forgetting that what is already put in as far as taxes goes to the UNITED States? Aren’t you forgetting that you are in favor of even MORE weatlh distribution? Get used to it, honey…..it’s what you voted for

This would have been worse if Romney was elected and the media would have ignored it, just like they are ignoring this now. The future of this country is looking very bleak and I don’t know if this country will be awakened from their strong delusions through enlightenment or utter disaster.

    • Bob Khan

I’ve been running the scenarios of our future path through my mind both pre and post election. I’ve not seen anything really positive come out of it.

#1. I am expecting a massive financial downturn in the near future, government will shutdown and riots will erupt within our inner cities once the welfare stops. Expect to see looting en mass and rape gangs terrorizing the streets before a martial law is declared and we become a military state.

#2. Revolutionary Civil War. With tensions and anger on both sides running so high, expect it to be long and very bloody.

#3. Attempt at a Military Coup. Could turn out positive, but expect things to be in chaos for a period of time. Ousted elected officials get seen as heroes by the weak minded and a very nasty backlash ensues. (Riots, looting, rape, ect.)

It would seem that some people are incapable of enlightenment, namely the kind of people that send the hateful tweets above. They are a product of many generations of ignorance before them and have not taken it upon themselves to walk a mile in another man’s shoes. I am not going to place much faith that they will ever wake up. In the famous words of Ron White, “You can’t fix stupid.”

      • PatriotOne

I’m inclined to agree with you on several points here Bob, however, how long it takes for these things to develop is going to make a difference also. IF the military coup attempt does happen (I, for one, hope it does) I firmly believe it will be successful. Then there will be the riots and civil war. And yes, it WILL be VERY BLOODY and will take a great toll on our society. I’m not sure about the timing on the welfare running out, but I think the riots won’t be as bad as when the military takes over. As soon as ANY riots start, Obummer is going to declare himself some kind of supreme leader and put martial law into effect. I think that’s what is going to trigger the military coup.
Any way you slice it up, it’s going to be VERY UGLY for the next several years in this country. I’m seriously considering getting out first chance I get. Wait til the dust settles.

Ignorant comments but what I have a larger problem with is how this site uses these comments to further ignorance. Not all black people feel this way, just like not all conservatives should be considered racist.

    • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

Yes, surprising as it may seem, given a lot of the comments by conservatives here defending people like Mia Love, Artur Davis, BeBe Winans, Col. Allen West, Condi Rice, Stacey Dash when they are trounced upon by their ‘brothers and sisters’, that we’re aware not all black people feel that way.

    • vino veritas

This site is doing no such thing. Reporting something accurately stated is not misrepresenting it nor does that constitute using it to falsely label a group of people, either. This premise you suggest is just incoherent and factually ridiculous. The fact is, that the many liberal racists who are spewing this hatred must own these facts about themselves, plain & simple. If they make themselves and, by extension, their political party look vile, intolerant and hateful then that is their problem of which they can only blame themselves. No one else.

  • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

Small light at the end of a very, very dark tunnel: In 4 years, should America (as we know it) still exist, we won’t have to hear this racial spew. From all speculation, it will be Biden vs. Christie, amirite?

A few people saying fuck white people on twitter isnt a concern. It’s the fact that white Americans are THE most hated racial group in the entire world. It’s sad because white America did it themselves. You can’t spread hate, violence, terrorism, and black mail throughout the world and expect to be revered. You can’t be the single handed reason for the destruction of the planet and expect to be loved. You can’t expect to be the descendants of brutal horrific slave masters, rapists, child molesters, homosexuals, and incestious beasts and expect understanding. Look what your base was founded upon. America is a country of immigrants. But white Americans tend to forget their homeland is Europe not the US. Being a non white person in the US you get called racial slurs enough by whites, if you get beaten down enough by whites and classified by your race and not who you are as an individual… Yes, you’re going to have negative feelings about whites.

You can thank the U.S. public education system for the incremental indoctrination of each generation, starting with the baby boomers. It’s not going to get any better until it bottoms out, but unfortunately it is now too late. The US economy structure will be fundamentally changed, along with the new precedence that the US government can force citizens into buying insurance. The sky’s now the limit. There is no chance to roll back healthcare, just as social security and medicare cannot be rolled back.

The other thing, why did Mittens keep visiting conservative strongholds? I lost count of the number of times he came to Jacksonville which was a given he’d win N. Florida. Yet central and south Florida is where he needed to be trying to influence voters. I guess he did visit Ohio and Penn. but I just think he wasted time here better spent somewhere else. Moot questions.

Good luck in trying to repeal the 22nd Amendment…

    • Joel A. Edge

The party of grievance and division has handed out benefits and freebies to the point where they CAN get the 22nd amendment repealed. I’m looking for the second four years to be about amnesty for illegals.

      • therantinggeek

I got to thinking about this, and the only way for that to happen is this:

Someone (either an elected official in either House of Congress, or in one of the State legislatures) would need to draft the 28th Amendment, which would call to repeal the 22nd Amendment. It would have to specifically remove term limits regarding the office of the President of the United States. We then look to Article V of the US Constitution:

“The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.”

Basically what needs to happen here is for a proposed amendment to pass both Houses by a two-thirds majority in each. Once it passes, it goes on to the States for ratification (approval). Three-fourths of the States would need to approve of the new measure, either by the State legislatures themselves or by convention. The other way would be for a Constitutional Convention to be called by two-thirds of the State legislatures, and there they would propose their amendment. Then it needs to be approved by three-fourths of the State legislatures or conventions. As long as the GOP has control of the House of Representatives, I honestly don’t believe that the motion to repeal the 22nd Amendment would pass.

In case some of you were wondering if the President has a role in the amendment process, the answer is no – although he is welcome to express his opinion. He also can’t veto an amendment proposal nor a ratification. (http://www.usconstitution.net/constnotes.html#Article5)

        • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

Thankfully, we have control of the house, and that will never happen.

I am so worried that I am going to lose my private, wonderful healthcare. I am terrified of what this is going to mean for my kids, let alone my husband and I and our parents as we get older. He has taken over health care, education is nearly in the bag…. These people turn it into something about race? Good God. Obama should be impeached over Libya. His administration is responsible for arming Mexican drug lords… he has STILL not taken responsibility for the economy…. and he is SO delusional that he doesn’t think we are a divided nation. And these people hate ME because I’m white and they think I don’t like Obama because he’s black? It’s insanity. Utter insanity.I voted for Romney because I believe in state’s rights to determine things about abortion, gay marriage, etcetera… this bogus war on women? Oh my God! Is that all we women are worried about- getting knocked up, getting abortions and NOT getting knocked up? I was so offended that Obama made it look like we women are ruled by our vagina’s. I thought we were LIBERATED. hahahaha… what a joke. What a joke. Anyway- the country is clearly on a road to insanity. He is a nasty mean spirited little man and it appears there are far too many nasty mean spirited little people in this country who love him for it. It’s sickens me.

You guys kill me. Every one is focusing so much on Obama that hes a black man. If you check statistics there are more middle class and poor people in this world as to wealthy and inherited folks. The less fortunate people are looking for help and republicans do not support that.

    • NCRelite

What makes you think republicans “do not support that”? Did the talking picture box tell you that? Well then it must be true! How is the war on poverty working out? A trillion dollars a year and we still can’t put a dent in the poverty rates. In fact it’s hurting the poor more than anything. Folks, scientists have irrefutably proven the existence of a Liberal gene, it makes people incapable of logical thought backed by hard data and facts. Liberals *feel* like selling dope and not having a regular job to exist, witness Colorado which legalized marijuana, or California where there are 13,000 gangs… in LA alone. Liberal women *feel* like spreading their legs to anyone who provides them with them with alcohol and drugs, witness New York City where half of ALL pregnancies are aborted because Liberal women *feel* like simply using abortion as birth control because they do not *feel* like going to a drug store or get birth control. 51 million times Liberal women *felt* like aborting since McCorvey vs Wade, and by the way, she now *feels* that the Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion was wrong. Imagine that, a Liberal woman changing her mind, and by the way again, she’s one of those Liberal women who have a kid, then abort, then *feel* like having one, then aborting. Liberal women are the ones who wanted to make abortion an issue decided by 9 men in black robes as Conservative women plan first: 1) finish high school 2) get a job or finish college 3) have a home before getting married 4) have a husband before having a child 5) have the child in first grade before going back to work. Pre-school is simply a dog kennel so a Liberal woman can get away from her child for 9 hours a day and the child can grow up hating her, what 5 year old wants to be in a germ infested environment for 1/3 of it’s formulating years when it’s brain is still growing? Answer: Not one. But, but, women have to provide the hundreds of dollars to send the kid to the dog kennel, sorry daycare. Answer: start acting like a Conservative woman, especially when you have the Liberal gene.
