Transmission from Vladimir: Putin ‘welcomes the news of Obama’s victory’

Of course he did. After all, Mitt Romney said, “There will be no flexibility with Vladimir Putin,” while President Obama promised he’d have way “more flexibility” after the election.

More from Reuters:

“Overall the Kremlin welcomes the news of Barack Obama’s victory in the elections,” Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, told Interfax news agency.

“We express hope that the positive beginnings in bilateral relations and in international cooperation between Russian and the United States, in the interest of international security, will develop and improve.”

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Russia can’t wait to further develop a relationship based on mutual equality and respect.

I’m guessing Putin will be on top during his relations with Baraka.

    • Stop Lying Dave!

Not only political relations, but everything they do together.

      • TugboatPhil

Sorry. I should have been clearer. I didn’t mean political relations at all.

Thank you for making me smile at least once today. I didn’t think it was possible.

We better pick up a Russian to English dictionary….

    • GaryTheBrave

And a Chinese-English Dictionary for when they come to collect, particularly if they find out the Russians are getting better treatment than they.

    Here is an idea.

Could we offer to cede the State of California to Russia?

Let Putin have it and fix it HIS way.

It might come as a rude surprise to California elected officials who are right now putting on their good clothes to meet with our President about next year’s California “stimulus” (=trillion dollar union pension enlargement).

Putin won’t suffer those niceties. He’ll do some quick calculations on a napkin and realize he can turn an easy profit from the overpaid government bureaucrats of the Sunshine State.

Take it Vlad. Teach them some discipline.

I haven’t seen a thread yet – but what do you imagine is going through Netanyahu’s mind right now? What would be going through yours? Do you send the bombers soon, knowing you are going it alone or do you place your trust in Obama? Curious as to what the group thinks.
