Another large crowd for Romney in heavily Democratic Cleveland

Mitt Romney was greeted by another massive crowd in Cleveland today. Here are some scenes from the event:

Bear in mind that Cleveland is not the easiest place for Republicans to draw large crowds.

Oh man this makes me so happy. It’s useless in Cuyahoga for Republicans.

  • BriarwoodGroup

Yahooo!!! Rock on! VOTE COLORADO! VOTE!! FOR ROMNEY/RYAN!!!VOTE

    • constructionworker

I voted Romney/Ryan in the great state of Colorado! Colorado is going red this time!

    • http://www.facebook.com/john.hanover.35 John Hanover

Colorado is almost burgundy despite Obama and the Denver Com-Post’s best efforts. Joe Biden couldn’t even fill half of a school gym here compared to Red Rocks and Fiddler’s Green which made his appearances almost Fluke-like in numbers.

  • freeinaz

    Go Mitt.

  • Kate

    This is awesome!

As expected, the MSM is conveniently ignoring the size of these rallies. It doesn’t fit well with their “Romney is desperate” narrative.

    • James Myers

Then let them scratch their heads on Tuesday night.

I love that they are not showing wide views of the Obama rallies that have “less than optimal” numbers, i.e., the ones where Clinton doesn’t open.

      • Terry

Then they lie and say 8,000 more ppl than a building can even hold at rally in Milwaukee. Delta Center capacity about 12,500. They reported 20,000+ in attendance. Less than 2 miles from Delta is the Bradley Center (where Milwaukee Bucks play) and it has a capacity of 20,000. Obama chose the smaller venue.

        • http://twitter.com/yahneverknowCB yahneverknow

          Yup. It’s sad.

          Oh, and visually:
Smaller venue + full seats > larger venue + empty seats

Long lines even today in early voting in Huron County Ohio Board of Elections open 1-5 pm today and tomorrow until 2:00 pm. Heavy turnout for early voting because word has gotten out that regular voting lines on Tuesday will be heavy as well. Base is energized. Those who are voting for Obama seem not to be aware of the urgency in the preservation of America and have their heads in the sand after drinking too much Obama koolaid. County is 60,000 people and Huron County produces most of the produce in Ohio. Largely rural with largest town about 17,000 people. Norwalk.

I live in Butler County close to where the Rally was on Friday night. I just had surgery so couldn’t go :-( but all roads leading to West Chester were packed! Have been counting signs and Romney signs seem to outnumber Obama signs. Michelle Obama spoke at Miami University of Ohio on Saturday and had about 2500 show up with people coming from Chicago to hear her (that doesn’t mean they can vote in Ohio) One thing I find with Miami and most other universities, they are very liberal so can expect a fair democratic turnout there. Ann Romney spoke at a small business here on Wednesday and had a turnout of about 500. Although small, the facility was small and they only gave out a limited number of tickets. I was at a church function over the weekend and many of the women there are very firmly behind Romney.
I’m praying for Romney and Ryan because we need them!!

This is all great news..considering Stevie Wonder had only less then 200 show up for obama…pretty sad!!

            Is that true?

        • ChHarrison

“I’m praying for Romney and Ryan because we need them!!”
Amen! And I think we all better begin now to pray protection over all the polling sites in the country to repel any agitators who will try to steal this elections–including UN observers.

I’m in a rural area of NE Ohio and you can count on half of one hand the number of Obama signs. I was just at a Victory Center in a suburb of Cleveland that was overflowing with volunteers. Every phone in use and door-knockers in and out constantly. They are saying the GOP ground game is 4 times what McCain’s was and I believe it. I’d say the enthusiasm is 4X what it was in 2008 as well.

    • Green__Dragon

We live in Clermont County Ohio, just NE of Cincinnati and were at the Friday night West Chester Rally. The crowd stretched far outside the fenced security area. I did a writeup of the rally by request, for someone who asked. I tried to give a sense of what it feels like here in Southwest Ohio two days before the election is complete. Here is is:

      ..

    • Dion Corrigan

I live in the overly blue suburb of Euclid (at times I feel like a survivor in The Walking Dead). If signage is an indicator, Obama enthusiasm is way down … there are even a few bold Romney signs. I prefer not to attract the attention of the walkers so my car is garaged overnight.

    • Dion Corrigan

Oh, and I was at the rally … the news reported 6,000 … It was a great feeling to know I was not alone 😉

  • Midnight Cow

I hope this means what I think this means.

  • http://twitter.com/Daisy761 Daisy76

I feel like I’m on a rollercoaster ride. This morning, watched Meet The Press, Stephanopolous, et.al., and heard overwhelming prediction of an Obama win via electoral votes. Was very depressed by that. Then trawled the net this afternoon for news of the campaign and saw this. Feeling hopeful again. Nov. 6th can’t come soon enough. This is torture.

    • Drubbah

You just described my day, Daisy. I keep praying and praying that the MSM is merely trying to steer the election like they did in 2008 — and that this time, they do not win.

      • BeeKaaay

Let the MSM steer the election and crash Obama’s chances of winning into a tree.

    • justplainbob

Same here Daisy. Roller coaster ride is a very accurate description of how I have been feeling for weeks ! Go Mitt !

Daisy: That is your first mistake. Forget the MSM. I only watch Fox News because I don’t want my blood pressure to go up!
      ROMNEY LANDSLIDE COMING!

      • http://twitter.com/Daisy761 Daisy76

I also watch Fox News but I have to be always open to all other opinions even though they are hard to swallow. My problem is that I feel so invested in this election that every litte thing affects me. I just want for it to be over, to either jump with joy and pop out the champagne I have reserved for the occasion on Tuesday or creep into my cubbyhole and cry my eyes out.

        • BeeKaaay

Well, I already know what the other side’s opinions are. “RAAACIST” “rightwingers are evil!” “bigots!” “*spit*” It is all on script, so I don’t have to bother listening to them afresh :) All you have to do is have Karl Marx’s book and Alinsky’s book and you’ll know what the other side will say, without wavering from script. They’re so predictable.

Hey, @twitter-558202640:disqus @justplainbob:disqus @facebook-100000019611428:disqus don’t believe the lying MSM. Believe your “lyin’ eyes”. They know what they see. And they see a landslide come Tuesday. You can take that to the bank!

Suburban Columbus is WAY IN for Mitt. I’ve lived here all my life and I can NEVER remember this much enthusiasm for a Republican candidate

      Music to my ears. :)

Romney’s better, so Obozo will lose.

  • uthpastordaveh

I’m down in Chillicothe, OH. I see a lot of both signs, but usually there are more D than R yard signs. Right now in my neighborhood I think the Romney yard signs outnumber the Obama signs 2 to 1. One of my 12 year olds commented on it as we drove through the neighborhood tonight. I sure hope that is a good sign of what’s to come on Tuesday!

We traveled from Atlanta Ga to work for RR in Akron Ohio! We got to go to this rally and the intensity was incredible! There was a palatable feeling of confidence and a feeling of peace that Romney is going to win Ohio. The good folks of Ohio are not fooled by BHO’s empty promises, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me…..

    How many? No estimates given?

  • Terry

The day after Romney picked Ryan they held a rally at the Expo Center in Waukesha WI. The building only holds 2,000 so they held it outdoors. I was one of about 15,000 ppl that showed up. It was AWESOME!! My son and I abandoned the car about 2 miles from the Expo and walked the rest of the way because traffic was so backed up.
