Givers: Snarky conservatives delight in saying ‘nice things’ about Obama

Yesterday Team Obama asked Twitterers to share reasons to vote for the president. You know, in addition to revenge.

Following a delicious hijacking by the right side of the Twitterverse, conservatives generously offered to say a few nice words about President Obama. Hey, they’re givers.

It was a struggle, but happy warriors managed to come up with a few compliments for President Revenge. After all, Obama really is great at some things — like getting out the vote for Mitt Romney.

He keeps bloggers busy.

And he brings conservatives together.

So there’s that. Anything else?

And one final sugary sweet sentiment for our soon-to-be ex-president:

Keep ’em coming, Twitter!

I love Scott W’s comment: “He never ate a cat.” But, I beg to differ: kitty chow mein is common in Indonesia.

    • CitizenEgg

From a different perspective, Obama eating a cat would be akin to cannibalism. Check out his behavior during Benghazi if the metaphor isn’t obvious.

“Obama slept through it” is what I think CE is alluding to. However, I think Scott’s comment has more to do with the fact that Obama DID eat dog.

          • ceyanne

Hmm, I was thinking CE was suggesting that Obama acted like a, um, “another word for a cat starting with p” regarding his actions, or lack thereof, on Benghazi. Then again, my mind will always go to the lowest, most vulgar place when thinking of Obama, so….

          • Rebecca Gaconnet

Oh….see, I thought maybe he was referring to a cat’s tendency to bury its . (stuff). . . you know.

Conservatives have got to be the most un-Christian people in the entire sphere of Christianity. You have to be worshiping at the alter of Satan to vote for Mitt Romney.

    • seanmahair

Well, after 4 years of Satan Spawn I’m not surprised you don’t recognize it when you’re there. Romney couldn’t get to that altar if he wanted to (he doesn’t he worships at the Other Guy’s altar) there are way too many progressive democrats in the way.

    • edisonparks

That reminds me of the story about the 2012 Republican Convention when those wacko Conservatives purposely left any mention of the word God out of the Republican Party Platform, and when LA Mayor Villaraigosa tried to get a voice vote to put the language back in, those un-Christian Conservatives booed and the voice vote was not given so Mayor Villagaraigosa simply overrode the wishes of those Conservative Nuts and pretended he had their approval and put God back in the Republican Platform.

I’m pretty sure that’s how it happened.

      • http://twitter.com/DaffodilTimes The Daffodil Times

I see what you’re trying to do. Using God’s name to say hateful things does not make you a Christian. Republicans would know that if they ever actually picked up a Bible.
PS. Not every American believes in God. Unlike with the Republican Party, Democrats don’t require you to be a Christian in order to be on the team.

        • edisonparks

Maybe so, but it sure makes Democrats look openly hostile to a belief system which you obviously hold in some esteem given that your opinion is that Republicans do not uphold the Christian Values taught in the Bible.

Which is to say, it is a more than a little obtuse to criticize anyone for not upholding beliefs if you are hostile to those very beliefs in the first place.

          • http://twitter.com/DaffodilTimes The Daffodil Times

You do not respect Christian beliefs. Your party has been trying to eliminate religious freedom under the guise of “we’re not going to let you force your beliefs on anyone.” Teaching kids about homosexuality is pushing your beliefs on US, so to speak.

        • tessaprn

No one has said everyone has to believe in God. They are Republicans who might not have a belief in God but they do have a belief in our Constitution, Spin anywhere you wish but today’s Democrats are doing everything they can to get rid of the one thing that makes each and everyone of us equal.

          • http://twitter.com/DaffodilTimes The Daffodil Times

It’s funny you bring up the Constitution. I say funny because not only do you not know what is in it, but you’re mistaken on which party doesn’t believe in it. Republicans believe in a version of the Constitution that exists solely in their minds. The First Amendment “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” It doesn’t say ” an establishment of Christianity”. It says ‘religion’. Conservatives have no respect for any religion except Christianity. Then you have separation of church and state.

          • TexSizzle

Separation of church and state is a construct that the anti-religious bigots made up from a comment in a letter from Thomas Jefferson to a Baptist group; it has nothing to do with any law passed by the Founding Fathers.

OT: With Christmas coming up, I have a question for you: How is a Christmas display a law?

          • http://twitter.com/DaffodilTimes The Daffodil Times

What does that have to do with anything? We aren’t talking about Christmas displays

          • http://twitter.com/Elbeegeez Linda Sue

Duh. Christmas is a Christian holiday, hence the name.

          • TexSizzle

Which is why I started it with “OT”. Are you not aware that OT means off-topic? As much as you haunt this board, and probably others, I’m sure you’ve seen it before, and probably used it, or at least should have used it.

          • Marie

Bitch, we are well aware that the Constitution does not establish Christianity as a religion! The first amendment specifically says that the govern ment shall establish no religion, or prohibit the free exercise thereof. Clearly, Obamacare and all the gay teaching in schools violates the second part if the clause that pertains to religion.

No conservative has ever claimed that the Constitution establishes Christianity as a federal religion. It appears that YOU are the one making stuff up.

I don’t usually reply to trolls, but some things just cannot stand. Where in the world do you come off making such a ridiculous statement that you have to be a Christian to be on the “Republican Team?”

        • Marie

Republicans don’t require you to be a Christian. Plenty of Republicans are atheist, for example. SE Cupp and the late Andrew Brei bart are atheist, just to name two. Of course, you are a moron who doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

Republicans respect Christians, whereas evil Democrats like you hate them and spread lies about them.
