Busybody Bloomberg: NYC mayor puts gun control ahead of disaster victims

Hey, Mayor Bloomberg, you’ve still got millions of residents out of power and a city under water in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Don’t you have better things to do than meddle with Florida’s 8th congressional district race? Floridians and New Yorkers alike are shaking their heads.

Via the Orlando Sentinel:

With only days before the election, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is targeting U.S. Rep. Dan Webster, R-Winter Garden, with $1.1 million in TV ads — a surprise move that could upend a House race that’s already the most competitive in Central Florida.

…The $1.1 million ad buy, made through Bloomberg’s political action committee Independence USA, nearly equals the $1.2 million that Webster has raised this entire campaign. And it adds to the massive amount of outside help that [Democrat challenger Val] Demings already has gotten this cycle, including $1.5 million spent by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee for its own TV ads.

Maybe the Coney Island shopkeepers should just send Bloomberg the bill for what they lost in the looting.

Big Nanny Bloomers strikes again. When is NYC going to elect a new mayor? It seems like he’s been in there like fifty years or something.

I get tired of liberals squealing about gun control, when was the last time a honest non crazy law abiding citizen shot the place up. hell in my 43 years I have not shot one person that wasn’t in self defense.

  • Love of Country

Bloomberg is the biggest pantywaist troll in the country; how limp-wristed does one have to be to support such an embarrassing buffoon?

  • Discontentwliars

I’m sure they won’t have any looting or stealing in NYC, no crime of any kind, so there isn’t any need for anyone there to have a weapon. They likely reduced their police force since everyone there is so civil. NYC will show the rest of the world how it’s done, and nobody will be hurt during this catastrophy. More power to them. We’ll just have to see how it goes. Might not want to listen to the MSM though.

OWS will be there thursday to assure that all looting is conducted according to its constitution…..

      • TomJB

OWS won’t be seen in the financial district until everything is cleaned up, wireless is re-established, and stores are re-stocked with shopliftable items like granola bars and spree.

    • TomJB

Exactly right! So little looting, in fact, that he will dedicate a significant chunk of the police force to check cars coming into the city to make sure they aren’t violating the 3-person minimum rule. Maybe they can confiscate any Big Gulps they may have as well.

  • keninohio

wonder if he will cut of his head if romney wins all the aforementioned states…….

  • DANEgerus

Bloomberg’s message of gun control would’ve really helped at Benghazi… wait… I mean… well, helped Al Qaeda.

BusybodyBloomberg tell you what you CAN”T Drink!!! Then what you CAN”T EAT!!! Now you CAN”T PROTECT YOURSELF!!! Boy I’m glad I don’t live in New York City. With a nanny mayor like that NO thanks!!! I will stay in Sunny San Diego Ca.

  • Sarah Rumpf

Dan Webster was my Congressman (I moved out of the district) and he’s one of the nicest guys on the planet. Solid conservative, very ethical, sincere and genuine public servant. Please consider going to electwebster.com and helping him fight these nasty attacks if you can. Thanks! :)

Romney gives $5000 of his own money to help the disaster-stricken in New York and New Jersey, and is vilified.

Bloomberg gives over a million bucks to a political campaign, against his own party, in a state thousands of miles away, and I’m guessing he’s a “hero.”

Hey, Mayor, how many of those folks in Queens that lost their homes to that fire could have benefited from that donation?

I wonder how many NYC people that are now prey of the criminal element could benefit from an easily affordable handgun right now?

  • bonnieblue2A

While millions in NYC remain without power, Bloomberg emphasizes the disarmament of law abiding citizens in order to make certain looters, rapists and other predators of opportunity meet no resistance from their intended victims. Perhaps the Dictator of NYC should leave his ivory tower sans his armed security and walk the streets of South Brooklyn tonight since he thinks people shouldn’t be afforded their 2nd Amendment right of self-defense.

I cannot tolerate liberal ‘men’. I’m not even going to use the word ‘men’; I’ll just say ‘males’. Liberal ‘males’ are whiny, limp-wristed, effeminate, needy, clingy busy bodies. Yuck! They make me sick. Liberal males with their ‘gun control’, calling in the U.N. for the election, banning salt & big gulps, taking away the fruits of a real man’s labor to give it to their whiny, emotionally unstable constituents, etc., ad infinitum. Are there any manly men on that side?

  • Smeethow

New York should do themselves a favor and fire that little man.
