Unreal: Obama scoffs when asked about taxpayer-funded green energy sinkhole Abound Solar

Something funny, Barack?

During his interview today by Denver reporter Kyle Clark, President Obama was asked about the failure of Colorado-based Abound Solar, a green energy company that received a $400 million federal loan guarantee. Abound Solar declared bankruptcy this past June and is currently under investigation. For some reason, the president finds that amusing:

Good for us?

Some of [the green energy companies] have failed but the vast majority of them are pushing us forward into a clean energy direction. And that’s good for Colorado and good for the country.

So, basically, the president thinks we should just shut up and eat our peas while he has a good chuckle.

American taxpayers are out $68 million, Mr. President. We’re not laughing.

He is so full of himself, I hope the new POTUS and his team uncover all the criminal acts that have gone on this last 4 years and bring him up on treason charges because he has been anything but good for this country or even for this country and I would love to see him booted out of country not just office.

Okay CO we owe it to Obama. He uses us to make his 2008 big promises speech. He signs his first big deal here. He sticks us with a loser energy program. He stinks up DU with his debate performance. He smirks at one of our best reporters who (unlike Brian Williams) wasn’t afraid to ask him hard questions. And he still thinks we are gonna swing his way – I don’t think so! Let’s Get Out The Vote and Get Obama Out Of Office.

  • http://twitter.com/DeepTheenker Fishin, Campin Chic

Perhaps if Obama would attend an intelligence briefing he’d be better informed. So sorry, Mr. President, that the responsibilities of the Office of the President are crimping your style! How about we just relieve you of this most intrusive inconvenience?

  • Hiraghm

DoE should not be giving out ANY loans for green energy or for unicorn fart energy or any other kind of specific types of energy production!

And I couldn’t help but notice she forgot to take a shower after what must have been some sort of mud wrestling gig. Her upper arm was all dirty.

  • Jim Denney

If we still had a “mainstream” media instead of a DNC propaganda team, this Denver reporter would be on his way to NYC to anchor the evening news. Unfortunately for he and US, other than Fox, we only have the evening “newz.”

He is an idiot! No is, ands, or buts! There is a list of failed green energy companies that took money and several of his cronies benefited.

  • R0nin

That condescending smirk says “Sheesh, can you believe these uninformed people, questioning me?” He then goes on to explain to the uninformed how it’s a “good thing” because the philosophy is that throwing billions of dollars away to his political cronies isn’t political at all, it’s just R&D.

Excuse me, Obowmao, but I don’t believe private R&D should be funded by you. The risk should belong with those who seek the rewards– the companies involved. And unlike Liberals, I DON’T think that just because something is a “good idea”, the government needs to take charge and force it on us.

Nice try, too, at the end there, to do a lateral pass to the DoE. As if you weren’t responsible for what your administration does at your direction. “Look, guys, it wasn’t me, it was the DoE!”

Who does he think he’s kidding?

  • http://twitter.com/islandfeline Amanda St.Thomas

I hope the shock wave from the cheers on November 6 give you and Chris Matthews a CHILL up yourselves. You are both despicable.

  • ObamaPelosi

This is not Obama’s fault. Why is that journalist asking Obama such a tough question? Shouldn’t the question be what Obama’s going to dress up as on Halloween or what his favorite icecream flavor is? What the hell is wrong with this journalist? Doesn’t he know that tough, serious questions should only be asked of Mitt Romney and Obama should only be asked about what’s currently playing on his iPod? You should be ashamed of yourself, Kyle Clark!

Off topic, but does anyone else think President Obama’s accent (or perhaps the right word is voice??) sounds fake? I’ve always thought he sounds like he’s trying to mask an accent he doesn’t like or make himself sound more like “regular folks.” I have no idea what he might actually sound like, or if this is just misperception on my part, but I’m just wondering if I’m alone in this.
