New James O’Keefe video implicates sitting Dem congressman, son in voter fraud; Update: Pat Moran resigns

O’Keefe, whose Project Veritas has uncovered instances of voter fraud across the country, appears to be on the verge of dropping another major bombshell.

He sent this tweet out yesterday afternoon:

Twitchy will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available.

O’Keefe has released a damning video showing voter fraud within the campaign of a sitting congressman, Jim Moran of Virginia.

Moran’s salaried field director, who happens to be his son Pat, was caught on tape discussing how to commit fraud with an undercover Project Veritas reporter. The reporter tells Moran he is looking to vote in other people’s names — 100 names, to be exact. He asks Moran for help in seeing it through. Moran’s solution: prepare fake utility bills in order to skirt voter ID laws. Moran goes on to tell the reporter that a DNC attorney would gladly argue on the fraudster’s behalf. In other words, Moran and the DNC would be complicit in the voter fraud.

The video is nothing short of astounding.

It’s absolutely disgusting.

And liberals who refuse to hold their party accountable are once again targeting O’Keefe for exposing the truth that they refuse to see:

To all those Democrats and liberals who insist that voter fraud is nothing more than a Republican bogeyman: what do you have to say about this? How can you continue to deny the truth?

Conservatives know exactly what they’re seeing: a crime unfolding before their eyes.

Absolutely. And Pat Moran’s willingness to engage in blatant criminal activity and his assurance that the DNC will cooperate in said activity suggest a disturbing comfort with corruption that likely runs deep within his father’s campaign and shady political career. If Jim Moran does not resign after this, he will not only be sending the message that election integrity doesn’t matter, but he will be actively condoning criminal behavior. If he has any shred of honor, he will back out now. Sunlight is the best disinfectant, and the Morans have been burned.

Well done, James and Project Veritas. Those who stand against fraud stand with you.

Pat Moran has officially resigned from his father’s campaign.

Readers, for those of you who would like to donate to Project Veritas, you can do so here.

This better be good! Trump was fail.

    • kch50428

      >>Trump was fail. — Fail was expecting something from Trump to begin with. He’s a publicity whore.

    • Terri

Well, one thing about Trump’s deal, it will show how much BHO doesn’t care about innner city kids, etc., because he will NEVER show his docs. Not only was BHO an affirmative action dummy, but his passport is foreign. BTW, the documentary, “Dreams From My REAL Father” is excellent…everyone should watch it. His BC isn’t covered because he was born in Kenya, but because it shows his father is “unknown”. Frank Marshall Davis, the communist, is his father.

      • TugboatPhil

Well, he pretty much showed us how he feels about inner city kids in DC when he dumped the program that allowed them a shot at a real education with vouchers, instead of the hellish public schools that infest our nation’s capitol.

  • Quite_the_Pundint

I oppose Obama and am voting for Romney, but O’Keefe’s and Donald Trump’s eleventh hour sideshow stunts are really not helping people focus on this crucial election and only succeed in making people who support Romney look foolish by association.

    • Guest

Yes, it’s better to just ignore voter fraud.

      • Guest

IGNORE voter fraud. I simply cannot believe you said this, And most of call can’t believe there are two thumbs off. Stealing an election not matter which party is involved in the fraud should be a crime that comes with punishment.

        • Katrina Fernandez

          It’s called sarcasm.

        • robcrawford2

Not clear on the concept of sarcasm?

        • Cosmic Girl

          You’re kidding, right?

    • aaron32

When exactly is O’Keefe supposed to expose voter fraud? Once the election has passed?

      • Quite_the_Pundint

Agree that voter fraud’s a serious issue, but O’Keefe’s become a joke since that whole thing on the boat, trying to “seduce” a female CNN correspondent. He did an awesome job taking down ACORN but gained a lot of attention and has lost his way, can’t be taken seriously by those who need to see what he’s trying to expose.

        • robcrawford2

Anything but pay attention to what’s been exposed, eh?

        • tjp77

I agree. I appreciate what he does, but I just wish others would do it instead of him. He’s lost a lot of credibility and that makes it too easy to dismiss the very real issues he draws attention to.

    • tomtom1983

That’s not true, if he doesn’t then the left will continue to steal votes.

    • rivers

Voter fraud is as Biden would say a BFD.

    • robcrawford2

Life-long conservative? Concerned? Have a career in electronic music?

    • tool_mann2

Oh wait. Just wait, it’s not quite the 11th hour yet. Lots of time for skulduggery.

  • stuckinIL4now

Could this be the real unexpected October serprize?

  • NRPax

And now that it’s been released, the odds of the MSM doing their job-SQUIRREL!!

  • israelp

Watching now. He has done better work than this.

    • TomJB

You say that as if he should have written a better script. Its hidden camera video and he tries to let the other person make the fatal step over the line and avoid the accusation of entrapment. What do you want? Do you think the subjects of these investigations would act the same if a professional camera man and full setup just happened to be trailing along?

    • Zane Henry

Nice of Jeffrey Lyons to weigh in……..

  • PennyRobinsonFanClub

This would be a bombshell if not for the complicity of the Collaborationist Media.

  • stuckinIL4now

Apparently Rep Jim Moran is part of a group of VA Dooms who penned a letter to the DOJ asking for a voter fraud investigation on Republicans there. Can’t make this stuff up!

  • CainCan

All this for 100 votes? Really??

    • Iacobus

Imagine this happening on a wider scale, not just in this instance.

Corruption isn’t limited to one man.

    • robcrawford2

      Yeah, just 100.

Only 100 legitimate voters who have their votes canceled by fraud.

The willingness and ease at coming up with the plan tells me this isn’t the only incident…

  • mandygirlie238

I’m sorry but you can lead someone to say something incriminating. It sounded more like the camera man (newsreporter) was putting words in his mouth. I’m all for cracking down on voter fraud and as a Republican, keeping D’s honest..but this is a disgusting attempt to frame someone to say something.

    • Booker T.

But the thing is, the campaign worker could have ended this discussion anytime irrespective of whether he was a sweet talker or what.

    • robcrawford2

Another life-long conservative (who happens to mouth Democrat talking points).

What would your reaction be to someone “putting words in [your] mouth” that amount to agreeing to commit a crime? Would it be compliance? Or anger and possibly calling the police to report the person apparently planning to commit a crime?

  • TwitWit

OFA Universe ? we are at #war with the criminally insane.

          • TugboatPhil

I saw those t shirts. What a bunch of maroons!

  • tomtom1983

Not surprised, their liberals. They’ll set themselves on fire all to steal votes. Funny the very people claiming voter fraud doesn’t exist are the gutter rats committing voter fraud nationwide.

    • Nutstuyu

      They’re. Don’t spell like a liberal.

  • TocksNedlog

And, of course, Moran will lie and claim that he knew it was an O’Keefe sting and was just playing along.

    • robcrawford2

Weird, innit, how they claim their cooperation was part of their own trap? And how they never seem to report the crime to the police in order to spring that trap?

  • therantinggeek

“The reporter tells Moran he is looking to vote in other people’s names — 100 names, to be exact. He asks Moran for help in seeing it through. Moran’s solution: prepare fake utility bills in order to skirt voter ID laws. Moran goes on to tell the reporter that a DNC attorney would gladly argue on the fraudster’s behalf.”

Food for thought: Suppose for a moment if those same 100 people were actual registered voters in the State of Virginia whom haven’t voted yet, and someone has already cast ballots in their names. When they go to their polling place(s) on Election Day, what do you think the election judges will say to them?

    • robcrawford2

The addresses would have been different, so likely legitimate voters would have been allowed at least a provisional vote.

And I suspect involving a party lawyer is intended to coordinate the names and addresses so the various “get out the vote” efforts don’t step on each other.

    • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

      “You voted for Obama”, to which they would respond by leaving and returning with a gun saying “WHO DID I VOTE FOR?!?” “Uh..We apologize for the error.Here’s your ballot, we’ll find the fake ballot and destroy it, and… Oh yeah, I’m a Republican too…” VOTE ROMNEY, EARLY AND OFTEN XD Jawamax 8<{D}

  • J.N. Ashby

Democrats don’t do bad things though. They only want to help the common man. Haven’t you guys been listening?

  • disappearing moderate

    Somebody alert the UN.

    • littleones

  • dhugow

I guess we do need UN election observers after all

    • robcrawford2

Except that the UN is as pro-corruption an organization that has ever existed. I’m surprised their “election observers” aren’t down at the local ACORN-reborn office asking if they know where to find some underage slave prostitutes.

  • John Hanover

When they find GOP candidates doing this bust them as well. Pretty hard to find when the Liberals are shining a spotlight on them and thinking that they have the moral high ground because they are watching over the GOP and conservatives as well as independents that are not in Liberal-lock-step.

  • Maliheh Banoo

malkin you wouldn’t know voter fraud if it jumped up and bit you in
your face. Here’s real fraud, the type you and your buddies on Fox news
    won’t talk about:

    • J. Cox

Wow..a salon expose that….shows The RNC firing s private firm that “MAY” have done something wrong…..headline..TIED TO ROMNEY…although Romney has no ties to the Florida RNC,or this firm.Try harder failbot.

    • Paul J. Citro

Are you kidding me, you liberals wouldn’t know the truth if it smack you up side your backside.

    • robcrawford2

Tu quoque is not a valid criminal defense.

    • Sog1077

Liberals wouldn’t accept the truth even if it was crammed up their butts. They’re too dependent on the plantation kool-aid to even notice or care.

  • Red Pill

I pray in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth for any and every person who attempts voter fraud, or encourages or instructs others on how to attempt voter fraud, to be:
    Sentenced to time in prison.

    • Cosmic Girl

    • Netmilsmom

  • Sandra

this is crazy….would break the law for a vote???

  • Matt Robinson

I tend to think Morans kid was tricked. albeit his fault for being so easily talked into participating in illegal activities. but he is obviously inept at politics…every sentence included at least 15 uhhhs and 10 pauses, and almost none of them had intelligible points. looks lke O’Keefe found the easiest target and pounced. either way, very satisfying to play this video for the liberals that campaigned againts VoterID laws.

  • Danny Wheeler

    Man, another fraudster busted!

  • CJ

The people should stand up against the media for refusing to cover this “news story”, because it makes a damning society when the media bends the news to their personal mind set.

I’d slam Okeefe, Romney, Ann Coulter, Richard Mourdock & Donald Trump for lowering the level of GOP discourse, but sadly, they haven’t

    • rivers

Yeah right, exposing voter fraud lowers the level of discourse, only if your an Obamaphone.
And Mourdock referred to a life conceived, not the act of rape.

Tell me, what are the standards for acceptable discourse for someone who picks the screen name George W. Tush?

    • swtogirl

And talking about Big Bird and “binders” as serious topics coming from a campaign ISN’T lowering the discourse? Sorry to go all low-brow on you, but I think voter fraud is a serious issue.

    • Hello Jerry (D)

      More psychospeak from Georgie Porgie.

  • matt noell

wHERE IS THE tWITCHY Article on the RNC employee dumping Voter registrations in the Dumpster? On the office in FL that houses not only the criminal Strategic Allied Consultants but also Karl ROve’s Crossroads GPS AND the Koch Brothers? On the illegal voter registrations by Strategic in CO???CA???? And O’Quife??? REALLY???!!! LOLOLOL!!!!

    • AUBraves

The media reported all those false accusations you just mentioned or you would have never heard of them. Where is the media on this? If you didn’t come on Twitchy you would have never known it occurred because it is taboo for the Lib media to report anything against a Dem.

      • GreenEyedGal

@twitter-444090460:disqus, what are the odds @google-77a27e9651fd1b0e12c82fc31239053e:disqus is really Cher in disguise?

    • AUBraves

      No… the company was “accused”… this video isn’t an accusation… it’s fact.

The Liberals/Progressives/Socialists/Pinkos/Islamists/Marxists who have infiltrated and are now entrenched in the party of slavery, the Democrat Party, are ruining the USA and are our domestic enemies. Let us kick their braying, traitorous donkey a$$es to the dumpster on November 6, 2012

  • Lynn Dawson Gaston

I’m afraid we are really going to see alot of instances like these until this election is over.

  • matt noell

Cheesus titty fukin christ…more edited BULLSHIT from oquife…..nothing but his narration as set-up, and then the edited video…weak sauce, AGAIN! Shirley SHerrod Brown anyone? Acorn edited vids, anyone? What a bunch of maroons…

    • rivers

You are all Obamaphone lady now. And your a pig.

    • swtogirl

Did you see the full video? They posted the edited version, and then the full, unedited version right after it.

    • robcrawford2

Didn’t watch the video, did you? The entire, uncut video is there.

But if clutching to your blanky, muttering, “it was edited, it was edited” lets you stomach your support for criminals, then you go right ahead. You’re just another member of the (alternate) reality-based community.

  • matt noell

AAAAnd Twitchy deletes posts critical of their hero! how CONservative!

  • disqus_eric

    Obviously, the video is WAAAACIIST!

  • Jacqueline Fields

I bet that Congressman Moran, will deney all knowledge of his son’s voter fraud scheme, but don’t believe it, he was a paid worker, and Daddy must have known. FIRE them both! And THEY wanted the Republicans, investigated for fraud! Put them in jail!

  • CPBinDC

And yet we never hear of a DNC office ever catch James O’Keefe in the act of doing this? The reaction from Dems everytime is the same, “hey, go for it”/

  • The Daffodil Times

Were you Republicans this concerned about potential voter fraud when Tagg Romney bought all the voter counting machines in Ohio?

    • rivers

LOL. You’re late to the party, that’s been myth busted.

Liberals say we don’t need voter iD laws? They say there is no voter fraud?? Well of course they do because they are the one doing it!! That’s why they fight so hard against voter ID laws because it will be harder or almost impossible for them to cheat!!
Just another example of liberal hypocrisy in action!!!
