Hey, girl: Duran Duran’s John Taylor ‘likes Ryan, basically,’ thinks Biden was ‘a bit of a d*ck’

Hey, girls (on film), he’s not just a pretty face! Duran Duran’s John Taylor seems to agree with many on Twitter, including Tawny Kitaen, who called Joe Biden an “embarrassing jackass.” The consensus is that Joe Biden’s debate performance was disgraceful, from the creepy smirk to the cranky old man attitude, capped off by his shameful laughing at the issues.

Taylor goes on to say that he likes Paul Ryan, with one exception.

Keep using your mind, Mr. Taylor, and your heart, and you’ll get with that, too.

Indeed. And the lies were coming from Biden. Over and over.

And, like Rob Lowe, John Taylor resists the usual celebrity freak-outs over the lame “Paul Ryan hearts Ayn Rand” meme.

More, please, John Taylor!

  • Mackie72

I knew there was a reason I liked Taylor – besides the fact that I believe he was the ’80’s consummate bassist.

  • Jack Deth

Biden, a bit of a dick?

Biden was the annoyingly condescending embodiment of the Democrat Party when backed against a wall! In all its obnoxious noise and bluster, signifying nothing.

    Good catch for Mr. Taylor!

  • KayAZ12

More and more cracks in the “arts” community. They’re beginning to realize that the “creative exaggerations” are actually blatant lies.

  • TocksNedlog

An honest reaction, rather than simply parroting the spew of his, one would imagine, mainly liberal friends? Nice.

  • $7421226

sounds like a musician who’s grown up. with Maturity comes Conservatism.

    • Jeffrey Harbin

My old man always used to say the quickst way to turn a liberal into a conservative was to give them a raise.

  • radjahshelduck

Her name is Rio and she thinks Biden’s a putz
    The way he smirks and giggles, man he’s really nuts;

She can’t believe this fool is one heartbeat away

She hopes Paul Ryan smiles on election day.

Thanks, now I can’t get that song out of my head. :-)

  • salvagesalvage

Hysterical how Hollyweird celebs suddenly have gravitas when they agree with you, if it’s the Dixie Chicks talking about Bush they should shut up and sing.

Oh and Biden wasn’t laughing at the issues he was laughing at the GOP’s VP candidate’s endless lies and nonsense.

It’s cute when Romney talks over, interrupts and does all the stuff you’re accusing Biden of doing he’s an alpha male asserting his dominance, when Biden does it he’s rude drunken bully!

I can never figure it out, are you guys aware of your hypocrisy and don’t care or is it just plain stupid?

    • c2

Romney didn’t laugh at Obama, and he didn’t mutter crap like “Oh, GOD…” when he was speaking. He just demanded time to be clear on his positions.

Biden laughed and mugged because he didn’t want America to hear what Paul Ryan was saying. And if you’re looking for a liar, look squarely at your VP, who flat-out lied about voting for war (among other things).

Face it. Only leftists love that bombastic garbage – because you never met a thug you didn’t like.

      • salvagesalvage

Yeah, I already pointed out that whenever the guy you want to vote for does something it’s exactly right and when they guy you’re voting against does the same sort of thing it’s WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!

And yes! HA! HA! Obama and Biden are such thugs! What with one being a Black and the other being a guy who runs with a Black. Total thugs!!!

And speaking of wars and lies remember when Obama and Biden said that Iraq had all kinds of crazy WMD, like tons of toxins and nuclear weapons almost built and drones? Then they spent billions and got countless thousands upon thousands killed and it turns out there wasn’t any WMD? They just wanted a war because wars are cool or something?

Oh, no wait, that was them, that was the last guys you voted for.

        • ERMERGERD

Wow. That didn’t take long for you to mention race.

          • William J. Miller

That’s what I was thinking, too. Corr didn’t use “apartment” or “Chicago”, so it was tough to decode. Glad we have Salvage there to set us straight!

          • salvagesalvage

Ha! Ha! That’s because I am clearly the racist because Obama is totally a thug!

          • ERMERGERD

Never said you were a racist. You’re just clinging to that term to call Romney supporters. Most have nothing against Obama being half-black. For example, thug means criminal, not “BLACK PERSON!!!11”

          • salvagesalvage

Ha! Ha! Yes! Obama is a criminal!! He is from Chicago and he is also a gay Secret Muslim fascist communist socialist Indonesian Kenyan Alinksy radical Black Panther. He is just all things bad!!!!

          • William J. Miller

            Salvage said “Chicago”! Dog-whistle!!!

          • salvagesalvage

It’s one of the most hysterical things about the online wingnut sub-culture. Drudge has posted more links to crime stories in Chicago in the last four years than it ever did in it’s whole existence.

It’s been fascinating to watch, the GOP and their helper monkeys just throw out any and everything they can and rather than waiting to see what sticks they just keep on throwing it out. It’s created a weird sort of echoing goldfish bowl where wingnuts think that the rest of America cares about “Fast and Furious” Obama’s school records and and a host of other meaningless “scantles”

          • William J. Miller

Glad to know that you think F&F is small potatoes. And that you don’t think the South and West Sides of Chicago becoming less safe than Kandahar is newsworthy. You probably think the same thing about Libya.

And as far as trying to throw stuff that sticks, is that kind of like Mitt’s taxes? Or the “War on Women”? Or “1% vs. 99%”? Or Haircut-gate?

          • salvagesalvage

No, guns being sent to Mexico is super important because obviously it’s part of Obama’s plan to grab American guns.

Yes! The Chicago is just like Afghanistan! There are roadside bombs, suicide attacks and the central authority has lost all control beyond Springfield’s city limits. It’s totally the same thing!!!!

Not sure what I think about Libya only that Obama knew the embassy was going to be attacked so he ordered all the security to be curtailed and the weapons to be loaded with blanks because he hates America and wants the terrorists to win.

Uh, Mitt refuses to release his tax returns and the ones he has released show that he doesn’t pay much and hides a lot of his money offshore. Yeah, no one believes those facts!

And the war on women sure is fake! There is no one in the GOP who thinks a woman’s rights end the second she’s pregnant. And Rush Limbaugh screaming “SLLUUUTTTTTT!!!” at a woman testifying about contraception being a medical issue certainly isn’t another example of the deep misogyny that wingnuts wallow in.

Speaking of percentages Romney feels that 47% of Americans are lazy parasites and he doesn’t care about them.

Oh, no, wait Mittens said he was completely wrong, turns out he doesn’t not feel that way at all and when he says he’s going cut taxes for the rich what and do nothing for the middle class he means he’s going to cut taxes for everybody!! And he’s going to pay for it… somehow… it worked at Bain, it’ll work for America.

          • http://twitter.com/UltraVenia Jules

So what was the real reason for sending guns to Mexico?

          • salvagesalvage

To take away American guns, OBVIOUSLY. It’s the only possible explanation and what’s really scary is how Obama got Bush to start it. Must be his Black Muslim Voodoo powers.

          • William J. Miller

Wrong on the tired Bush started it excuse. “Wide Receiver” was stopped before Obama came to office. Try again.

          • salvagesalvage

Yes! So what happened was they were doing this thing and it was fine when Bush was President (as was everything including the economy and wars) then they did it again and it killed countless Mexicans and was the worst idea ever and Obama was behind it all.

And it was part of Obama’s plan to take away your guns.

          • William J. Miller

Obviously it didn’t go fine, otherwise the Bush admin wouldn’t have stopped it. And you can’t point to where I said it was a good idea, in either case. You are not making sense, so I wish you luck guarding that bridge you came out from under.

          • salvagesalvage

Ha! Ha! Yes! Bush was well known for admitting errors and stopping them before they do more damage.

I can’t point to that because it was never an issue with wingnuts until Obama became President then suddenly gun control was a good idea and lives of Mexicans deeply precious.

See this is why no one with any sense takes wingnuts seriously, they don’t have any position other then whatever guy they vote for is always right and the guy they vote against always wrong, even when they do the same things!

          • http://twitter.com/UltraVenia Jules

You think dead Mexican teenagers are meaningless? Sick. Blood soaked carpets and walls, meaningless to the left, simply because a Republican isn’t responsible. Minorities are only pawns for you.

          • salvagesalvage

AHAHAHAHA! I LOVE THIS! Wingnuts, the same people who would cheer an electric fence that fries any Mexican scheming to come north and mop for minimum wage suddenly get all doe-eyed over them dying from being shot. What’s even funnier is they don’t seem to care that fellow Americans are also getting shot. It’s fascinating how you suddenly have become such global citizens and gun control advocates.

And yes, they are my pawns!!

Oh and the program started under Bush, I know, I know when Bush did it they were just running guns into Mexico in a completely sensible way it was when Obama took over that it became the worst idea ever!

          • William J. Miller

Wrong. Bush admin ended Operation Wide Receiver after things started getting out of hand, and before Obama was sworn in. F&F had fewer safeguards, and was only stopped when whistles started blowing. Try again.

          • salvagesalvage

Oh, so what happened was Bush did this stupid thing, realized it was stupid and stopped it then Obama needed a plan to take away American guns and said “Ya! Let’s do that thing!”.

Then he’s going to take away your guns.

            Perfectly plausible.

Or, the DOJ kept on doing the same stupid thing and both White Houses were only vaguely aware of it and it only became a deal when wingnuts started howling about it in a desperate attempt to find any sort of scandal.

If only Obama would cheat on his wife, that would make wingnuts lives so much easier.

        • grais

You know who else said Iraq had all kinds of crazy WMD?
Both Clintons, Albright, Berger, Levin, Daschle, Kerry, Pelosi, Graham, Gore, Kennedy, Byrd, Rockefeller, Waxman, BIDEN….
You know how many Dems voted For the Iraq invasion?
82 (out of 209) House members.
29 (out of 50) Senators, including Senator Biden, regardless of the lie(s)he’s trying to pass off now.

          • salvagesalvage

            Yeah, couple of points here,

            1) they were wrong so saying “hey these guys were wrong too!” doesn’t make you right.

            2) They didn’t invade! See that’s kind of an important fact, see talking about something and doing it? Different things! Crazy, I know.

            3) Many voted for it because the Bush Administration demanded that they be trusted and if you didn’t trust them? Why you must hate America! That was the message they pumped and idiots repeated.

They lied, some people believed them but you hold those people to blame on the same level as the liars?

Again, can’t figure out if you’re really this stupid or just a liar.

          • grais

            Coupla more points,
            as to your 1):
Everybody being wrong makes Everybody Wrong, and No One right.
            as to your 2):
Their votes mean They invaded. They can’t say (though they and you still try) that they can be absolved of their responsibility for the invasion. In fact, if they thought that Bush shouldn’t be permitted to invade, they should not have chicken-shitted out and told Bush to go ahead and do what he thought best. They should have have some backbone, some courage of their convictions. They should have done their duty to this country. Instead, they shirked that duty. They washed their hands of it, like cowards. Some representation, eh?
            as to your 3):
            revisionist nonsense
as to your last little snark:

          • salvagesalvage

            >They should have done their duty to this country. Instead, they shirked that duty. They washed their hands of it, like cowards. Some representation, eh?

Yup, that’s exactly right. If they had done their jobs several thousand American soldiers would be alive as well as hundreds of thousands of Iraqis.

            >revisionist nonsense

AHAHAHAH! YES! At no point did anyone who expressed doubts about the validity of the invasion of Iraq ever had their patriotism questioned by either the Bush Administration or FoxNews and the rest of the wingnut barking machine.

You do know that the Internet was around back then right? That all this “revisionism” is well documented?

Ah, but that’s reality, wingnuts can deny that stuff without breaking a sweat.

          • grais

They did not do their jobs. They are Every Bit as responsible as Bush is for the deaths, but earlier you said “they didn’t invade,” trying to absolve them of their very large hand in it.
And if you think they threw their ‘principles’ out the window because someone would call them ‘unpatriotic’ or ‘un-American’, you’re kidding yourself. They voted ‘yea’ because they were okay with allowing Bush to do what he saw fit. And they knew folks like you wouldn’t hold them accountable.

          • salvagesalvage

No, they are not “Every Bit”, not even close. Bush and pals wanted their stupid war and they lied and bullied until they had it.

And of course the minute it went south Bush and all his helper monkeys and wingnut mob suddenly decided that EVERYONE was to blame.

It’s funny, you think that people who believed lies are as bad as the people who, y’know, lied.

But you’re a wingnut, it’s the way your brain works.

          • grais

grow up, silly, boring angrychild. Until you do, you won’t be able to discuss anything like an adult.

          • salvagesalvage

Oh wingnut, there is no discussing with your kind, you’re just there to be mocked and laughed at.
