Yesterday, James O’Keefe and Project Veritas released a bombshell video showing a Texas OFA worker actively engaging in attempted voter fraud. OFA regional director Stephanie Caballero offered to assist a woman posing as a potential voter who wished to vote in both Texas and Florida.
According to Talking Points Memo, in wake of the damning video, the DNC has fired Caballero.
Shot in September in the Houston office of Organizing for America, President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign, the video appears to show regional field director Stephanie Caballero helping someone who claims to want to vote in both Florida and Texas. The video was posted online on Wednesday morning by O’Keefe, who is known for undercover stunts, the results of which are sometimes heavily edited.
DNC spokeswoman Melanie Roussell told TPM this video, however, was clear enough to fire the staffer.
“There is obviously a history here of making selective use of taped material, and we will certainly not vouch for the completeness of what was released,” Roussell said. “However, what we saw was enough for us to take the action that we did.”
In spite of their shameful attempts to disparage and dismiss O’Keefe’s investigative work, even the liberal TPM and the DNC are forced to admit that they can’t turn a blind eye to what they witnessed.
