Despicable MSNBC lapdogs whitewash minority speeches from RNC coverage

Looks like MSNBC tried to stack the odds while playing the Left’s revolting game of RNC #negrospotting.

Progressives’ incessant, unseemly racial bean counting and false cries of “racism” haven’t worked to destroy their political opponents, so instead, they’re rewriting the narrative to exclude conservative minorities altogether.

Francesca Chambers at Red Alert writes:

MSNBC wants you to think the Republican Party hates minorities. So much so that the liberal news network cut minority speeches from it’s convention coverage.

Nothing threatens the Left like a racial or ethic minority refusing to toe the liberal line. So rather than televising convention speeches from Mia Love, Ted Cruz, Artur Davis, Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval and Luce Vela Fortuño, the network leaned fully forward into its seething disdain for minorities who won’t march in liberal lockstep.

Really, what could be more tolerant and evolved than progressives of pallor attempting to disappear minorities from the public sphere?

https://twitter.com/bradyliette/status/240650770532421632

Will the other lapdogs in the media take notice?

https://twitter.com/tricityjdw/status/240792446303358976

And what of Wednesday night’s speeches? Will MSNBC put its bias and racism on parade when Gov. Luis Fortuno and Condoleezza Rice take the stage?

Warning: This drinking game could result in a trip to the emergency room.

Update:

Shockah! Mediaite covers MSNBC’s whitewashing.

Not shocking: Mediaite defends MSNBC with the headline “MSNBC Falsely Accused Of Purposely Omitting Minority Republican Speeches.”

Mediaite suggests that because “Fox did it too!!!111!!” the accusation is unfair and false. Rubbish. Unlike MSNBC, Fox doesn’t have a reputation for marginalizing, degrading and erasing black conservatives.

This is not the America I grew up in. This more like Nazi or communist behavior than that of an American TV network. I’m a 74 year old vet and I feel like crying. How have we come to this?

Have you ever watched 2 mins of foxnews? You cant be so over the top about MSNBC (which is crazy partisan) if you are not willing to say the EXACT same thing about Fox (and id venture to risk being an ‘ass’ to assume that you wouldn’t!) The problem is the virtual disappearance of fair and independent journalism period, It is not just MSNBC!!

That’s a good point IceCold! Foxnews perfected the use of propaganda journalism using fear, spin, and patriotism (or the lack thereof if you happened to question president bush) to attract viewership
and it worked very well! The whole network, collectively vehemently defended the office of the presidency as commander and chief and as the representative figure head of our american ideals for 8 solid years! They would argue that the office, not just president bush, but the office as a whole should be above reproach and sometimes even above disagreement, to do so would be “un-american” (I cant tell you how many times I heard that charge levied) In that context it has been very very sad to see the drastic change in tone and apparently ideals as soon as their guy was out of the office!! They have strayed from the faux outrage over disrespecting the presidency to having a morning show dedicated to saying the most disrespectful stuff they can think of about the president, even running their own ads against him (which was wild and something even MSNBC would NEVER do!!) Im not naive and I understand the difference between opinion shows and hard news. I am also cognisant of the fact that there is very little of the latter anywhere on tv!! MSNBC is trying to take the same path Foxnews did in its earlier days albeit much less effectively but in my opinion equally disturbing!!

          • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

Really? You must not watch Fox at all. Also, you apparently seem to forget that O’Reilly, Hannity and other shows on Fox are OPINION SHOWS. Derp-a-derp.

Step 1) Go over and read up on some of the bizarre remarks coming down from left wingers spewing frothing and murderous hate at a number of Republican women who spoke at the convention.

Step 2) Keep in mind it is in something less than such a violent, vicious spirit I say to you, Go choke on a bowl full of dicks.

      • redheadgrl

there’s a difference between opinion shows (Hannity, Hardball) and news. When the supposed “news” is spun (read the book Bias) or forged (see Dan Rather) where do you turn? I am rational enough to know that I have to filter everything reported or discussed based on the source. Too bad many Americans don’t. I’m glad people using SM can call these networks out though for clear bias. And report on things the MSM won’t.

        • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

At least you call them as you see them… OPINION SHOWS

      • http://www.facebook.com/greg.miller.50115 Greg Miller

Fox actually tracks to be sure their news is evenhanded. Commentators include real liberals. Contrast with the other “media” sources that ignore documentation of bias or take pride in their blind bias. The only reason you think Fox is equally biased is that centrist reporting remains far to the right of your personal beliefs.

Started watching FOX news a year ago … I am conservative, but the channel is pathetic. It is aimed at about a 9th grade level. They use small words, shake their head and move on if anything requires thinking. They lift their eyebrows at the mention of Obama as if he had run over a bus load of nuns. Their musical acts are lame hick cowboy yodelers. The channel is a waste of time and an insult to America.

          • TundraThunder

If FOX is so bad, the rest of the MSM is 1000 times worse. And, you’re no conservative!

Very true but if not for FOX the conservative view would never see the light of day. Fox leans right no question but they usually have a left speaker on every issue. Beckel, Colms, Williams, all have big segments daily. plus numerous other talking heads from the liberal side give their opinion hourly on FOX. Find a conservative voice on all the other channels.

      • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

I watch fox, and I see no bias… I never used to watch fox, and I used to be a ‘liberal’, I suppose you could say. I laughed right along with Stephanie Miller and Ed Schultz, Randi Rhodes, Jerry Springer (when he had his radio show) about Fox news and Bill O’Reilly specifically. Then I got saved, praise God, and started listening to more conservatives. I don’t see bias, I only see Fox really calling out the bias of the liberals. No accusations, no name calling, nothing like that. I don’t know where you liberal people get your ideas about Fox, not that I swear by them, but they are much better than MSNBC. In my opinion.

MSNBC cut out the bulk of women and minoroity speakers. They opted to show Mathews, Schultz, Maddows, Sharpton and company tear down the Mormon religion rather than show two of the most emotional speeches of the entire convention given by people who were helped by Mitt Romney. MSNBC would cut speeches off early just to tear them apart. The MSNBC crew showed ignorance in journalism, and for the most part were factually uninformed.
SPECIAL REQUEST: I encourage those who wish to compare MSNBC with Fox News to DVR the Fox News DNC coverage next week and compare it to MSNBC’s coverage of the RNC. Fox News coverage is about covering the story adding commentary where MSNBC adds coverage to the commentary. Which one is more like a dictatorship. Fox News is the most fair and balanced news outlet we have today.

The thing that struck me was that all of the minority speakers at this convention are rising stars in the party – they’re not just “token minorities” tossed out on stage to . Love, Haley, Cruz, even Davis, are all future leaders, who Republicans admire, not for their skin tone but for their ideas and leadership qualities. In stark contrast, we have Obama, an invented empty suit, who wrote two biographies about himself before accomplishing anything of worth, was pushed by Chicago liberals then nominated and elected because, as Biden said, he was an “articulate and clean” black man. If “quality of character” is what matters, as Dr. King said it does, then the Republican party is the true party of inclusion when it comes to minorities.

I have never associated the term “viewers” (plural) with MSNBC. We all know they are the loony left and it is unabashed. What I don’t get (outside of Hannity who presents himself as a hardcore conservative) is how FOX is considered to be the polar opposite. When did actually giving fact-based opinion on current events become the exclusive purview of the right? There was a study done at Berkeley (of all places) that showed that based on alignment with policies of left, center or right leaning “think tanks” as a proportion of content FOX, Drudge and some daily paper in TX or NM (can’t remember) were the fairest representation of the political spectra.

MSNBC – does anyone actually watch it any more? What a joke of a network.

Just as Aaron said you are wrong and if you think everybody that considers themselves part of the GOP is racist then your view on the world is really messed up and I think that you yourself are racist. I am sure that there are liberal racists out there and I am sure that there are conservatives racist out there and I am ure that there are independent racist out there, but ifputbody in 1 group and classifem as a racist as you did with the entire tired GOP party then that tells me a lot about who you are in and the way your mind works.

  • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

First of all, why do we continue to call them ‘minorities’. Aren’t they Americans, just like everyone else? ‘Minority’ indicates a sub-group, which in turn indicates “less than”. In my opinion, ‘minority’ singles out and denigrates the citizenship of someone who should just be referred to as an American. Just my two cents.

    Secondly. Go figure.

  • suewisc

I would also say.. that FOX actually DID air the speeches and discussed the speeches – in full or in part – even if they weren’t in real time. MSNBC only re-aired the Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews shows (which still had them omitted, of course). I purposely (because I like to poke eyes out with hot pokers) watched the RNC on MSNBC. I believe they were also covered the next morning. Did Morning Joe have them on? hmmm… Completely ridiculous.

This article deals with only the 1st day of the 3-day convention. On day 2, Condoleeza Rice gave a major speech which was shown on all the networks. Gov. Susana Martinez’s speech also got good coverage.
