Sarah Palin this afternoon directed her 800,000 Twitter followers to a blog post by daughter Bristol on the subject of hate, and as usual, it didn’t take long for hate to show itself.
Bristol Palin’s post to Patheos recounts her experience meeting the media at the Television Critics Association panel, where Palin was promoting the next season of “Dancing with the Stars.” Asked if she would mind dancing with a gay partner, Palin replied, “Of course.”
But the media can’t seem to figure this out. In their simplistic minds, the fact that I’m a Christian, that I believe in God’s plan for marriage, means that I must hate gays and must hate to even be in their presence. Well, they were right about one thing: there was hate in that media room, but the hate was theirs, not mine.
God’s plan for marriage? That sure sounds like hate speech!
@SarahPalinUSA cue the dumb palin-haters in 3…2…1—

@SarahPalinUSA Oh yes, I believe in "tradition" too i.e. having filthy, sinful sex at 17 outside of holy, sacred MARRIAGE! How shameful!—

@SarahPalinUSA According to the Bible, having kids out of wedlock is punishable by stoning. #BristolPalin—

@SarahPalinUSA Ur daughter should never marry since she's no longer virgin…otherwise God will have men of her town stone her to death.—

@SarahPalinUSA Underage is sex is ILLEGAL and IMMORAL but since it's
TRADITIONAL, that makes EVERYTHING A-OK!—
Jane Barton (@bollbar) August 07, 2012
@SarahPalinUSA so Bristol's point was that she wouldn't dance with a Gay man because she had no hope of marrying him at the end of the show?—
