Sexist media lapdogs: CNN plays 'Stupid Girls' as intro to Sarah Palin at Chick-fil-A story

As Twitchy reported on Friday, the Chick-fil-A “boycott” has been a total fail. Sarah and Todd Palin joined in this non-boycott of Chick-fil-A and united with the Twittersphere in posting pictures of a Chick-fil-A visit.

CNN, it seems, took this as an opportunity to bash Sarah Palin, playing Pink’s “Stupid Girls” as the bumper music for its Palin story. She’s so icky and stupid, natch!

Oh, yes, it’s surely just a coincidence. We totally have a bridge to sell anyone who believes that.

More from Hot Air:

Coming out of a commercial break at 8:40 AM eastern time today, during Randi Kaye’s shift on CNN, the network “unexpectedly” chose to play the refrain from the song “Stupid Girls” by the pop singer Pink going into a story about former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. The two word refrain repeated over and over as the camera panned past Ms. Kaye and faded into a picture of Palin visiting a Chic-fil-A restaurant. The host then went on to a fairly stock story about the recent Chic-fil-A brouhaha, including Palin’s visit, with no reference to the introductory tune.

Yet, of course, some Smarty Pantsers are poo-pooing it.

Remember that one? Jimmy Fallon, Obama fan boy, had “Lyin’ Ass Bitch” playing as Michele Bachmann bumper music.

The Left, naturally, finds this professional sexism to be hilarious.

Yuk, yuk, yuk! It’s totally funny to call a highly accomplished and successful woman “stupid,” as long as she’s not the “right kind” of woman. Scratch a progressive, find a sexist. Every time!

Non-sexists recognize CNN’s actions for what they are: Classless, non-professional and totally biased.

On the plus side, did anyone actually see it? If you spew sexism and no one hears it, did it even actually happen?

Once again, members of the media prove that they are just lapdogs for the Left.

War on women? It’s coming from the Left, with the media’s complicity.

  • Marc Frey

Again, the left can only call conservative names, or act like 3rd graders. And the typical silence from NOW further illustrates the blind “ideology of hatred” towards conservative women.

    • TonyMontana3

Yeah, the right wingers never call anyone names…..
It’s pretty sad how you take Palin as a woman first and not as a normal candidate. You keep repeating the fact that she’s a woman. Have you noticed? That’s sexism.

      • TugboatPhil

I guess it’s racist then, when lefties brag about Baraka being the first (half) black President.

      • Joseph Bernardi

A very accomplished woman at that. Media should report the news, NOT their opinions. That’s all we want.

        • Catherine Barrett

          April 1 .. Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day .. this Wednesday .. eat at Chick-fil-A
420,000 have signed on as going … so far!

      • rabidfox2

Tony, Palin WAS a candidate – four years ago. I don’t think she’s running for anything now. Live in the past much?

        • freeinaz

He does and still is probably blaming Bush for everything. With a comment like that he will never get it.

      • vino veritas

Always with schoolyard whining & finger pointing. You pathetic degenerate libs will never ever have the guts to confront the overwhelming deluge of sexism, racism and classism that is glaringly obvious and long standing among your own pathetic peers. Instead, all you can do is make completely erroneous, one-sided & ridiculously unbalanced comparisons with the ‘right wingers’. The facts stand overwhelmingly against you hypocritical scum.

  • MikeD0722

CNN can go choke their chicken!

    • Corey Dennison

That’s funny right there…I don’t care who ya are!

  • allenbarr

Well a woman of values will never recieve respect in this all out liberal media. She loves and fears God her family and country. This great rare quality is exactly what liberals are trying to get rid of. If we notice people are constantly running things over and over in their minds to make their self fit in with what is percieved to be the easy road. Why does everyone in our country need their voice to be hears. Are they seeking fame or fortune? Trying to be on Tv. Most liberals stand for nothing moral. they seek to jump on board what they think is a winning team. It makes them look like satan. I don’t know power grab or be left out.

  • Marcos Cartagena

Not only they got caught playing that song while introducing the Sarah Palin segment but they are also calling the anchor Randi Kaye “stupid girl”, unbelievable, they are willing to stood so slow and degrade woman in that form… If I were Randi Kaye I would sue CNN… then again maybe she doesn’t care, willing to fall on the sword even when the hypocrisy hit her on the face… Shame on CNN, this is why I don’t watch them.

  • Ryan Gandy

The existence of CNN alone is as spit in the face of the journalists of days gone by.

  • Maria

Two words for CNN: Grow up.

  • Col Wheeler

Well look at it this way , The Dems, have Pelosi,The Reps have Palin, Which one would you rather be seen with ?

    • BOXER1017

      • freeinaz

      • john jones

        Exactly, Palin.. any day

    • Joseph Bernardi

      Palin in a heartbeat.

    • TonyMontana3

      Pelosi of course.

      • Corey Dennison

Which explains so much about you Tony…

        • Doreen Beisel

Nancy wears the strap- on in that arrangement

      • freeinaz

Are you serious…Are you serious….maybe you can find her in the commerce clause.

    • freeinaz

I would give anything to just have a 15 minute conversation with that most remarkable woman Sarah PALIN. I feel the same towards Michelle Malkin. Both very, very, intelligent and true patriots.

  • Bill Gordon

Isn’t it amazing how cnn nbc and the others get laughed at when they say something like this. Just like the democrats, if they are proven wrong or cant get their point across they talk louder and louder and overtalk people that prove them wrong, especially Allen combes or what ever his name is. He impresses me so much i cant even remember his name.

  • Platinum Angel

I love that the left is so nakedly threatened by SP that they are reduced to frenzied behavior by her. Way to give Sarah the last laugh CNN!

  • leftybegone

Can we stop doing what liberals do by claiming that anything that is insulting to someone who happens to be a female is automatically sexist? They didn’t say that her femininity is what makes her stupid, so calling her stupid is not sexist. If she were a liberal and a conservative said she were stupid, yes, the media would call it sexist. But we’re better than that. We’re certainly not winning over any moderates by acting just as ridiculous as liberals. They called her stupid. It was rude, not sexist.

    • vino veritas

No, It is sexist when they specifically target her for rebelling against their beloved archetype of liberal femi-nazi fem-bot and having the courage to speak out against the partisan old boys network that own the MSM. This is the reason they are saying she is stupid and pretty much everything they do against her is based on this motive just like all conservative-minded women like her who they have wronged, Michelle Malkin and Michelle Bachmann being perfect examples.

  • Brenda Stanley Everett

No one watches cnn anyhow so they don’t matter

    • Wraith

Hey, now…I bet at least 27 people in the world saw that!

  • BOXER1017

    CNN who??????????

  • Bandit

And CNN wonders why nobody watches them. Instead of ‘new thinking’ they should just try thinking.

    • Joseph Bernardi

So true. I would take any type of thinking on CNN’s part.

  • Juan Gonzalez
  • TonyMontana3

    Sexist, sexist, sexist, sexist……
Everytime a conservative woman is attacked you call it “sexism”. You’ve become just like far left wingers.

    • Corey Dennison

      You’d know…leftwinger.

  • Evi L. Bloggerlady

We have Democratic politicians falling over each other in political pandering to the gay donor community, and then CNN has to jump in to show just how biased it is.

  • John Gallagher

Sorry – but the Palins will do anything to get on camera somewhere – CNN was wrong – but do we really need any more of those 2 Alaskan knuckleheads???

    • Carl Dennis

I love Sarah she’s so smart and beautiful unlike those ugly left scaggs..

    • SonofHawg

This Alaskan likes them. As to being knuckleheads…they’re probably richer than you, and smarter. America, on one level or another, likes them and keeps giving them opportunities for more fame and big bucks. Why should they refuse this stuff? Chances are, they will eventually fade away, but they are smart enough to take advantage of the opportunities they are presently being given. Some people would think to refuse such chances would be stupid.

    • Darth_Venomous

Given your gravatar, I think I’d rather see them on camera than you.

    • Corey Dennison

Why don’t you have another cheeseburger johnny…

  • JSebastian

They should play BIg Butts whenever Moochelle comes on.

  • FoodCzar Banderas

Whoever made the decision to play Pink’s “Stupid Girls” as the introduction to the Sarah Palin Chik-fil-A story should be fired immediately. You call yourselves a “news” network? Shame on you!

  • kryp

It’s so cool to shit on every traditional American value. CNN and Hollywood can blow each other.

    • freeinaz

For some reason I believe they already are.

  • ClydeS

In the words of Dennis Green, “They are who we thought they were.”

  • Rick Caird

It is kind of funny to see the first cable news network and soon to be first bankrupt cable news network to call someone else “stupid”. Pot, Kettle. Blacker.

  • $3838536

Love the action-hero picture of Todd & Sarah standing tall at Chick-fil-A. In other news, Tina Brown has offered CNN $1.00 on friendly buy-out.

  • Stephen Schroeder

I am suprised that anyone even noticed. I did not even think that anyone actually watched CNN anymore.

  • Brett McMicken

well, to be fair, that song always comes into my mind whenever CNN anchors are on the screen…..even when the female anchors come on.

  • DebEast

CNN who? Just about gone, aren’t they?

  • Amber Wallace

You know what I watch Fox News and CBN so I wouldn’t know. I don’t care for CNN and they way they do their reporting, plus Fox News has more modern music and portrays updated media in the way I dig it!

  • rabidfox2

This type of crap is the reason I’ve not watched CNN in over 10 years. Live is too short to put up with propaganda pretending to be news.

  • BeeKaaay

More proof that leftwingwackos are misogynist.

  • wolfie773

    Liberal war on women.

  • revrod46

Hey folks, its CNN…. I’ll bet 6 people watched this segment, and that was prime time. CNN is as yesterday as you can get. Should stand for “Canceled, Nobody Noticed.”

  • Corey Dennison

I wonder why no one ever watches CNN anymore? It is a puzzler…

  • Catherine Barrett

    April 1 .. Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day .. this Wednesday .. eat at Chick-fil-A!/eve
    Going is now at 420,000!

  • Doreen Beisel

CNN reminds me of a 1980s movies named Heathers a story about three vindictive little bitchs in high school. At the end of the movie all the Heathers end up up dead looked at your ratings lately CNN

  • freeinaz

If this bothers you please feel free to contact CNN and voice your displeasure, I sure did and it made me feel a little better. This Obama and liberal water carrying media is dangerous and they just don’t know how many of us there are that will not tolerate this any longer.

    • Mark McGovern

You, with a picture of your President like that, have the nerve to criticize anyone for disrespect? What a joke.

      • Wraith

He’s damn sure isn’t my President. He’s an illegal usurper of the office and as such commands not the slightest respect from any real American.

        • Mark McGovern

          Well that answers my question.

        • Mark McGovern

          Well that answers my question.

  • Maurizme

I’m sure the bumper music isn’t “coincidental”. That’s why I don’t watch or pay much attention to CNN. You go, Sarah Palin! I love Chick-Fil-A, too! Great chicken!

  • submandave

I’ll agree all day with anyone who says this was petty and unprofessional, but “sexist”? I don’t think CNN is picking on Palin because she’s a she, it’s because she’s a conservative. I hate it when the left reflexively equates disliking or making fun of a black person as racism, so I cannot stand by and watch those with whom I politically agree do the same thing with the allegation of sexism.

  • JoeMyGodNYC

Palin thinks the Queen of England runs the British government . #StupidGirl Palin couldn’t name a single newspaper. #StupidGirl Palin could only name one Supreme Court decision. #StupidGirl One word: refudiate. #StupidGirl Palin thinks North Korea is our ally. #StupidGirl. Palin thinks living in Alaska made her a Russian foreign policy expert. #StupidGirl

    • vino veritas

Any other previously debunked libtard lies about Palin you care to spew little obozobot? Why don’t you slither away back to one of those pisshole dungheaps you retarded libturds pupate in and stop trolling for punishment here since you degenerate libs are just too easy to smack around these days.
