Big Boi and his Glock .45 take in a movie

When we checked in with Big Boi yesterday, the Atlanta-based rapper was packing in a delicious Chick-fil-A sandwich and a strawberry shake. Tonight he’s packing at the movies.

Judging by Big Boi’s terse statement yesterday to the online chicken police, no, that’s not going to happen. Besides, he’s carrying legally, right?

Could the positive reaction to Big Boi’s choice of theater companion be a result of his more sensitive followers dropping off his timeline yesterday?

What I don’t understand is why people freak out if they know someone is carrying in public, after having gone through the permitting process. Whether you agree that permitting is a limitation of rights or not, it does give the person a real interest in acting responsibly.

It never occurs them that many times they have been in a restaurant or store and been right next to people who are illegally carrying concealed weapons. Those people are called criminals and they have been doing it that way for as long as there have been concealable weapons.

Permit holding gun owners are not the problem. Concerning Mr Boi’s tweet, the reason to carry concealed is so that no one knows for sure if you are or aren’t. I never tell anyone for that reason. But just like the American Express Traveler’s Checks, I don’t leave home without it.

All this +1. I may or may not carry.
