The nation still is trying to hammer down whether or not Barack Obama really is America’s first black president, but there’s no question that he was our first Twitter president. The White House reminds us that today is the first anniversary of the first-ever presidential Twitter town hall.

The people of Twitter have stepped in to mark the occasion and remind the White House that the social platform is still very much live.

You might remember the town hall for House Speaker John Boehner’s tweet, asking, “After embarking on a record spending binge that’s left us deeper in debt, where are the jobs?” That was a year ago; what’s on people’s minds today?
