Twitter lynch mob threatens to kill George Zimmerman as judge sets bond at $1 million

A Florida judge ruled Thursday that George Zimmerman can be released on $1 million bond while he awaits trial on a second-degree murder charge.

The Twitter lynch mob sprang into action immediately. At least two Twitter users threatened to murder Zimmerman.

A reminder of Twitter’s rule on threats of violence:

Violence and Threats: You may not publish or post direct, specific threats of violence against others.

Others are fine with letting someone else pull the trigger.

Zimmerman reportedly has the funds to pay for his release. Let’s hope he also has the ability to keep his location from being broadcast to the bloodthirsty mob.

Maybe people shouldn’t be so quick to bat those down.
