Adele rose to fame in Britain with her first album “19,” but it was 2011′s follow-up “21″ which catapulted her to stardom in the United States. That album sold over 22 million copies. It was so successful that Adele’s ex-boyfriend sued, claiming he was entitled to a share of the profits because, he argued, it was his painful breakup with her that inspired her lyrics.
